Rather pricey, but you'll pay the quoted price. They even honored a verbal quote with me. They are located near several large employers, so the convenience is worth paying extra to not miss work.

This place is a total rip-off. I looked them up on Google and saw amazing reviews and fell for it. I had some problem with the tire pressure. One of the tires kept leaking air every few weeks. So I took my car in. They managed to convince me that I needed to change all my tires even though only 1 had problem. Since these set of tires was completing 5 years I was anyways considering. The guy kept on convincing that I was taking the right decision and they were very competitive with the prices. I was trusting and that was my mistake. I later found the same tires about $35 (per tire) cheaper at Sears. So I got ripped for about $200 owing to my naivety. The only advice I have is don't trust reviews or sales people blindly and just look up price of parts online before deciding.

Doesn't support veterans. Recently moved to area. Noticed my out of state number and different accent and automatically got rude and told me to call someone else when I asked for a quote. I thought it was a bad connection so I called back. I apologized for what I thought was a bad connection I explained what I needed and that I was a mechanic, but my tools are still in transit, and was about to provide my VIN...the owner again said to call someone else. I asked why...the reply was that I had an attitude. I never raised my voice or said anything rude. I have served my country for over 16 years and lived all over the world and have never been treated like it is 1950. Of course there are two sides to every story...but I have nothing to gain for leaving this long review, but I'm sure that the owner's "recollection" will be different. You can't keep treating people like this and stay in business.

My tire maintenance light came on during a road-trip to CT. I saw they had great reviews and were close to the highway so I stopped in. I told the guy I didn't think I had a flat but wanted them to check things out. He came back 10 minutes later to let me know that my tires needed to be rotated at my next oil change which was in 1000 miles. He also verified for me that each tire had exactly enough air. I thanked him for being honest and not trying to sell me service I did not need. #HappyCustomer

Left high and dry by a national roadside assistance company, I managed to get my car (w/a full-on flat tire made drivable with 3 can's of fix-a-flat) over to Country Autocare and Tire. I dropped my car off at 11PM on a Thursday night and called the next morning to let someone know about why it was there. Mark immediately made me feel at ease and explained how they could accommodate my issue. He was very communicative, keeping me posted through day. I had no expectations of getting my car right away, but much to my surprise, I was expeditiously taken care of, provided expert information on recommended solutions with reasonable pricing AND was treated with the highest respect. Quite honestly, this was my best experience I've ever had with ANY automotive service center in my 20+ years of owning vehicles. Thank you Mark and team!!! I fully recommend Country Autocare and Tire Center!! They're great!

I was in Connecticut from out of state with my infant granddaughter and had a flat tire. I found country auto care and tire center on a search and they were perfect. They repaired the tire very quickly, were warm and friendly, and were able to use the same tire so that I did not have to buy a replacement. It was a five-star experience.

Fist visit I only had my snow tires put on my car but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The waiting area was clean and coffee was provided. They also helped me get to work in the morning. Second Visit: I had a clunking in the front end they diagnosed it as a strut mount bearing which was found to be badly worn and needed replacement. I had them replaced but the noise persisted. I called to let them know I was still having a clunk, they set me up with another appointment and tracked down the additional problem. They were very concerned that the noise hadn't been corrected and they worked hard to make me happy. They gave me a fair discount because I had to come back a second time. I like Country Auto Care because I always talk to the same person Mark who takes care of the front desk. He is on top of and knowledgeable about what need to be done to your car. He is friendly and very good a communicating with me.

I cannot recommend Country Auto Care highly enough. I echo the other comments regarding quality of service. But would add that the thing that differentiates Mark, John, and their team is this quality combined with the complete and total trust I have in them, built up by years of them ALWAYS doing the right thing. I started going there when I moved to Windsor 7 years ago - I moved to West Hartford 5 years ago and I still drive up to Windsor for both of my cars. When Mark and John or their team tell my car needs something done, I know I am getting an honest opinion from a team of experts who put doing the right thing above maximizing their revenue. I'll share one anecdote about my first experience with Country Auto from several years ago, and the trust they have earned. Previously, I had brought my car (a Infiniti G35 coupe) to your run-of-the-mill chain for all service, including tire service. I moved to Windsor, and brought the car into Country Auto for an oil change, as I lived nearby. Long story short, Mark informed me that the car had the wrong size tires on the back wheels! I was suspicious, as I thought this might be an angle to sell me new tires. By chance I had the receipt from the prior auto shop in my car. So he took it, called that chop shop, read them the riot act for their negligent and / or unscrupulous actions, and got the chop shop to agree they put the wrong tires on, and agree to refund me the full price. Which we put towards the new tires he recommended. If that isn't above and beyond, what is? This type of honest service has been demonstrated again and again over the years. I won't go on any longer, but do yourself (and your family) a favor and bring your cars to Country Auto.

Got scammed for $110 worth of nothing. I came in with an emissions problem that I had previously diagnosed myself. I attached a service record and a page of notes, including the repair bulletin released by Scion. I asked them to do a smoke or evap test on the emissions system, because I needed to know if my system was leaking. All they did was run the codes and reset my computer. I told him I could have gotten the codes scanned at auto zone for FREE and play the guessing games on it for FREE, and the guy says "well, you had that option." What a joke. I DID get the codes scanned elsewhere, and I DO know what the problem is. I came to these guys for specific tests, asked very carefully for those specific tests, and I got a condescending attitude, $88 of "labor" and $15 of "screw you" charges. He made a point to tell me that they could have charged me even MORE. I STILL can't get my car tested for emissions. they told me to drive the car and wait. That's GENIUS advice for a non-compliant car. If I had done nothing at all, I'd be better off. Do yourself a favor and go to another mechanic who doesn't think women are stupid.

My family has been customers of Mark and John for at least 15 years! My brother runs an independent repair shop down South so I understand the business and its challenges. Country Auto has serviced for us the following makes: Hondas, Chevy Cutlass wagon, Toyota, Infiniti, VWs, Ford Windstar, Subaru and a Saab. They have always been helpful, professional, competent, honest and they stand behind their work. If they are not equipped they will refer, (which is rare). They are clear in explaining what is right and wrong, they will show us parts and shop for less expensive options when appropriate. I have tried many other independent shops in the area and these guys are the absolute best all around repair shop and tire suppliers. The shop is clean, the techs are long term employees and happy, you will not find a better place!

I always know the pricing up front and after I've read some of the previous reviews you need to Ask and have it in writing before anything happens. Be a smart consumer. So long story short i was on my way back down to NY on a long drive from Northern New Hampshire i blew a tire on I 91 hitting some debris. I got off at the first exit i saw and found Country Auto Care. And i could not be happier that i did, considering my nerves were shot i was exhausted and in the middle of nowhere, the service, courtesy, respect and genuine care was overwhelming. I believe his name was Mark sorry Im terrible with names but still a great a guy and amazing staff. The fact i was exhausted in the middle of nowhere with shot nerves and he took a genuine interest in my situation and my life really meant the world. I can not say enough good things and even though i live almost 2 and 1/2 hrs away i would gladly take my car their any day of the week over the service and compassion i received. When you blow a tire in the middle of nowhere a long ways from home and your shot from everything and the guy says relax sit down have a cup of coffee and we will take care of it really says it all. on a side note the attention detail about my car and making sure i got the same exact tire i had so everything stayed the same was amazing, compared to just throwing on what ever is lying around was just so awesome like i said i can not say enough how great the whole experience was and would recommend Country Auto Care to anyone and everyone overall amazing experience and job.

Some time ago, my car seemed to have broken down on the highway as it started shaking uncontrollably. I took the nearest exit and found Country Auto Care. They were very busy but managed to get a look at my car in a half hour and explained to me why it was undriveable and what would have to be done to fix it. I was very shaken up by this and asked if I could drive it the half hour to my house on back roads. The person there (I forget his name) told me if I was his daughter, knowing what he knew about my car, he could not encourage me to drive it any further because it could easily give out. I managed to get a tow truck and while I was waiting, he offered me cider and the apple he had packed for his lunch. His kindness that day meant everything and I still think about it from time to time. They treat you like family at this place. Highly recommend.

I work in Windsor and lot of my coworkers use this garage to have work done while at work. Their customer service is decent and from what others tell me, they do good work. Their prices are quite high. For most work, expect to pay slightly less than dealer pricing. This may be the cost for the convenience and since your money is going to a private mechanic, perhaps it is still worthwhile. I knocked a start off because my service was to mount/balance tires on my Audi and Country Auto charges more for this service than the Audi dealership. If you work in Windsor, and want prompt reliable service, I suggest you give this place a shot. There prices are higher than others but, that is the price of convenience. Equipment to do auto work is not cheap and mechanics deserve to make a decent living especially when they go out of their way to make sure your car is fixed on time.

Best mechanics I have ever been to! I won't take my car anywhere else! Honest, clean, great customer service, they tell you upfront what needs to be done and what can wait. About 9 years ago I was had moved to Mass, I had a noise coming from my rear driver side I took it else where and they "fixed" my car saying it was my front right passenger side tie rod. As I turned out of the drive of that place it made the same noise I brought it in for. They hadn't even looked where I had told them the noise was coming from. I took it straight to Town and Country Auto Care where my parents had taken their cars before they moved. Turns out my brakes had rotted out on my rear driver side!!!! They listened to me when the other place didn't and treated me with respect where the other shop just treated me like I was dumb and didn't know anything! Thankfully I now live back in CT so I don't have to trek from MA anymore but they are worth it!

Was told to come in the next day after I stopped by asking for a drag link and track bar install. Came by the next day, and was told that the place was booked for the next week. I asked Mark why he would tell me to come in and he very rudely replied to leave? Was confused, so I left. Guess he had a bad day, shouldn't take it out on customers though. Disappointed.

I should have known when all the old reviews are good and the new reviews are all bad. Brought my car in for an estimate for some work and the prices were astronomical when compared to other garages. When questioned about the pricing, the guy on the phone went on a rant about how other garages do bad work and they do the highest quality possible for a garage. I'm not sure if there was an ownership change recently, but there has to be some reason that there are so many bad reviews now when the old reviews used to be so good. The staff is pleasant and the office is clean, but I wouldn't do anything other than an oil change or basic work there. Like other reviewers have said it seems like they are simply trying to get the most dollars out of naive car owners rather than being honest mechanics.
