Went in to have my tires balanced on Friday 8/2/19. The moment I walked in the shop I was greeted with a smile. A staff member immediately welcomed and assisted me. Within minutes I turned over the keys to my ‘98 Land Rover Discovery and I was out the door. Upon my return, I was given back my keys and made aware of a few things I found insightful about the condition of my truck. Shortly thereafter I was out the door towards my truck. I believe Emmanuel assisted me last. The ride back home was great! Thank you DTC for making my experience a good one and thank you Emmanuel for taking the time to address some of the issues concerning my truck’s performance.

So here's the deal- they were not clear that they did not have same make/model for my current tire in stock. Instead, the salesperson said "I have 1 in stock" which sounded great to me because I have fairly new tires, and replacing only one that was damaged sounded great to me. So in my daze of delusional optimism i agreed to go forward with the insulation under the assumption that they were in fact putting on an exact replacement for my tire. They were not. It was only after I drove off the lot and actually looked at my invoice that I realized they did not put on the tire I wanted. So yes I am upset, especially because it was not are all a problem for me to wait a day for them to order and get the tire for me.

These people will absolutely try to oversell you on things you don’t need and exaggerate about the condition of your car in order to make unnecessary repairs. The price of the tires was reasonable, however they will not give a free alignment with a set of four tires (something usually common), and they will try to charge you 9 bucks a tire to fill it with nitrogen (which is an expensive practice with minimal benefit). The manager only partially turned the screen my way, making it difficult to read every attempted charge. I would only go back for very basic services, and take with a grain of salt any extra recommendations. Always get a second opinion after they find problems with your car.

Called today for the first time to check availability and pricing for a wheel alignment and was put on hold for 18 minutes now. Why so long guys?Are you guys so good that you don't care if potential sales are on hold for that long? So if you like listening to piano music and like holding a phone to your ear - this is the place for you. I will check other places to give my business to.

Thanks to Tony & Jack These guys are always with positive attitude and ready to provide the best service, they will always go above and beyond for you. Unfortunately they are short in staff most of the time, so the wait time is longer it is getting hard to get the service on time when you need it. As a business consultant it's obvious that a few small changes would make this business even more successful, but under the circumstances they are maximizing their teams potential and make their best efforts. I seldom give a review but this place deserve a great compliments. The service crew especially Noe and Jack really gives me a reason to comeback. First Noe, really attends to my tire needs (I have a Lexus with NItrogen tire) promised me a 2 hour turn around, but to my surpised it was done within 45 minutes (Note: This was on a sunday when the place was packed with customers.) Noe's customer service and integrity when it comes for the service, I think was something to be admired. Of course Jack, who was also very friendly and gave a great lecture about nitorogen tire. Overall, it was a great service experience and hopefully management will recognize them too. Hey, if any doubts about some negative reviews, one thing, things will never be perfect all the time. But I believe they will always help to fix the issue. Thanks again! Look for these two guys they're awesome!

Their prices are great and they will go that extra mile to get and keep your business. This has been the only place I get tires for quite some time now and everyone I have ever dealt with here has been very courteous and knowledgeable. Bought 4 tires no prob (actually gave a 5 Star review for that experience). Went back to repair what I was told was a “coolant leak” in the reservoir—agreed to have reservoir replaced, no prob. Get a call back 7 hours after dropping my car there (and only after I had called to check on status of my vehicle who knows how long it would have been ignored had I not called to remind them it was there) and was told that I must replace my radiator (obviously not cheap). Agreed to do this without getting a second opinion WHAT AN IDIOT I WAS! After they replaced my radiator and reservoir I drive away the next day and within an hour my coolant temp light is on AND my check engine light. I returned every day for FIVE DAYS after paying almost $800 to “fix” my car for random warning lights that came on only AFTER they worked on my car. Not to mention it OVERHEATED ON THE 101 FREEWAY after they so-called “fixed” my problem. A week and a half later I return because (surprise) the check engine light is BACK on and now they tell me it’s the water pump, needs to be replaced and will be $457 + tax. What kind of scam you trying to run here? I took it to a REAL mechanic, a genuine professional in Eagle Rock. Not only did he charge HALF THE PRICE you quoted to replace my water pump, but also told me that YOU should have done that in the first place and then most likely wouldn’t have needed to do the radiator. So THANKS FOR NOTHING. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. GET A SECOND OPINION.

They give you excellent service when you purchase tires, but when you come back for repairs to those same tires - the service is lousy to say the least. They say it takes 2 hours min to repair a flat or a leak. Really? Why don't you accept appointments? What are you supposed to do for 2 hours down there? After my warranty expires - I'm never going back!

They were charging me $400 for a wheel alignment, balancing, 2 tires and 2 were suppose to be free. I got the same deal literally minus 2 tires at my local mechanic for $135 and I saw the service and car runs great. One of there mechanics name of Mario was pretty brainless. Tony one of the main guys there was pretty nice and customer service was good for most part but some deals aren't really deals for you if you understand me. Overall I'll stick to local family mechanics.

I bought two new tires here. Firstly, they gave me the best price of any other tire center - even my dealer who normally matches discounted prices couldn't touch their price. They installed the tires and aligned in 2 hours. A couple of weeks later, I found a nail in my tire so I went back and they took care of it immediately. Because it happened so soon after I bought the tires, I was able to purchase the road hazard tire insurance which covered the repair of the tire. My experience was great. I plan to return here again for my next set of tires.

I have been taking my 2007 Lexus ES350 to the Discount Tires on Sunset Blvd. near Vine St. for several years now. I have had minor oil changes as well as more major work done there including having new struts recently installed on the vehicle. The manager, Tony, is extremely professional, honest, and really knows how to care for all maintenance of my car. I would not ever take the vehicle elsewhere for repairs unless Discount was unable to do them (such as body work, etc.). I would and actually have recommended this place to friends who might otherwise take their vehicles to a dealer and spend 2 or 3 times the price for the same professional work done at Discount Tires. With regard to tires and tirerepairs, I have had the Flat Tire Plan provided by Discount Tires for many years which provides for free flat tire repair and replacement of tires that are blown by potholes, etc. This plan has saved me tons of money over the years and is extremely worth the minimal cost. I also have a wheel alignment plan which provides for free alignments as needed. I highly recommend that you investigate these plans and get them for your vehicles as they will save you time, money and irritation over having to replace tires damaged by the horrendous road conditions of this city.

Waited 2 hours for a simple tire change that was started 20 minutes after I got there. When I got tired of waiting I looked around to find my finished car sitting in the parking lot without notice. Then I went back in to tell them my tire pressure light was still on and I was told to just drive it around to make it go away. 3 days later I was back since the light was still on. Turns out the tire pressure was off and needed to be adjusted. Seems that could have been handled while I was waiting for my car that was already sitting in the parking lot "completed" or checked when I stated it rather than wasting my time on another day because of their corner cutting.

I went in looking for 2 tires because my front set were nearly rotted out and my back tires are nearly bald, but I needed to save so I could have my brake pads changed. I was surprised to see they have certified mechanics and offer the full gamut of services nearly anyone would need. Enrique gave me a great price in a town that is often overpriced & opportunistic, AND it was all done within an hour! I will be going back next month to get my balding tires replaced. Thanks guys!

Place is a scam. I tried to get my Tire plugged (A tire which I previously purchased from discount tire a month earlier, and which per my contract noted that repairs were free) and they wwe going to chage me $25. After I pointed out that the contract said free repairs, they came out and looked at the tire and said that it was a sidewall puncture and it needed to be replaced. That was wrong, the puncture was an inch and a half in from the sidewall, so it could have been plugged. I asked them to plug the tire and they said no, but that they could sell me a new tire. I went to another shop down the street, which confirmed what I knew. The tire was fine. They fixed the tire and sent me on my way for free. The other discount tire locations are fine, but don't trust these guys. I have worked on cars before, so I should have known something was fishy from the get go, but it has been a while.

Enrique processed my work order and had everything ready to go, so when I arrived it was an easy process and no unaccepted fees were added. Most of the associates were friendly except for one individual who it felt was trying to intimidate me into doing more work on my vehicle than I was interested in today. Only complaint was being led to believe that the work would be completed within an hour and it took much longer.
