Should have went with my gut and not go to this location. The guy working the counter had the worst customer service the last time I was there and this time was even worse. Went in today for Tire balancing and rotation and some how the guy working the counter screwed that up. After an hr I got my truck back with just the rotation, no Balance. I go to the counter and he says I didn't need balancing. I guess he didn't know I asked the mechanic what he did. So he goes and ask the mechanic and comes back and said well I guess he forgot to check the balancing. I just walked out. Never coming back to this location unless it's under new management. Maybe if I don't want good lottery numbers I will go back because the guy working the counter has bad prediction skills since he can amazingly tell you your tires don't need Balancing without even checking them but gets that wrong. Oh by the way he did offer to take my truck back in once a spot opened up if I wanted to wait. Lol yeah right, I'll let you waste even more of my time.

I drove here from the heart of Brentwood to get two tires replaced...although it's not the longest journey through Los Angeles, it can be hell during rush hour! Vic was at the counter when I walked in and the store was packed. I was a "walk-in" with no appointment so I was not expecting any special treatment. Vic was SO incredibly nice and accommodating despite the obvious rush of customers! He took wonderful care of my car, and most importantly, he was HONEST. I did my research prior to coming in but stayed quiet as he described what my car needed (maintinance wise) and then proceeded to help me choose the best tires for my needs. He didn't try and sell me the most expensive tire he could, in fact, he initially recommend the cheapest tire quote I have ever heard! I personally wanted my new two tires to be OEM (originally equipped manufacturer) parts so that there would be fluidity throught all four tires. Naturally, when you choose a better quality part the price is reflective of its quality; so I was prepared to pay a little more...AND EVEN THEN I GOT A DISCOUNT! Long story short...don't trust anyone else with your tire needs! These guys are amazing and will go above and beyond for you! Vic is the best! I've already gone back in the same month for a separate vehicle!! Thanks guys!!

Took 5 hours to replace my tire (after being told it would be 2-3). They also smashed a bottle of engine oil in my trunk and ruined the trunk and everything in it. Just stay away. They are so careless, anything they do will only result in additional repairs to your vehicle.

Pros: very cheap if you come in knowing what you want and everyone is really nice. Con: They will try to sell you stuff you don’t need, maybe because I’m not a guy. Came in with a overtightened screw on my tire, but needed them rotated since I had a front wheel drive and the front wheels had less tread. They called me and said that it was recommended to have the worse tires in front and that I might need new tires(even though mine were less than two years old) and also told me my suspension was going out. I told them to just rotate them anyways and then as i drove up to SLO and had an engine issue, I found out where the bolt was missing(the one that had issues getting out) the thread was ruined. I ended up taking it to my mechanic and it cost another $85 to fix it. I won’t specifically blame it on them, since it was a combination of costcos fault too, but wish they informed me about the thread. However, other than that, the staff who did the fixing were very nice! 6k miles later, suspension and tires still looking great.

I went to this shop to buy 4 new tires . Plus I paid $90 more for the alignment which they didn't do.. they suppose to give a printout before they do the alignment and after the do the alignment.and explain what they did . I didn't knew what was a tire alignment until i got home and watched a video that America tire depot has on YouTube. I pay $650 for everything. Which is not a lot a money . The only problem is that they charged for a service they didn't do .

Excellent service and really nice, fair people. i brought my car in with a leaky tire, Izzy was the guy who helped me out and said they actually don't charge to patch leaks. so i left my car with them and returned 2 hours later. unfortunately the leak was too big and the patch wouldn't hold. not wanting to leave any chance i ended up buying two tires from them. they did not try and up sell me, they were very understanding and made budget friendly suggestions. i only needed one tire but i purchased two to keep it even. as long as i am able to drive here i'll come back again and again.

Good price but the worst coustmer services!!!! I was I paid $700 for my tires back in Feb and was promised a life time Warrenty on the tures! Came back few month later for a repair and I was told that they never give warrent on there tires Knowing that few days before bought $1200 tires for my s class from santa Monica and I told that they have life time warranty I was placed on hold for 2hrsand no answers

got my tire changed and as I was going to work I noticed the car was not balanced.. when I went back I told the manager to please see if the car needed an alignment or was it maybe the control arm. He said he would check then told me it just needed an aligment after I drove the car off and paid 100 for the alligmnent the car was still not straight when I went back they lifted the car up and told me my control arm was shot. When I asked Hector for a refund he told me “well we aligned the car.. if you have a problem talk to the manager tomorrow we technically aligned the car”. What kind of service or mechanic is he? How can he align a car that’s crooked with a broken control arm and then have the nerve to tell me not to get a refund. I am shocked. I will be needing a full refund.. this was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. updated for 2018. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. NOT competant, NOT trustworthy. 5+ hours to mount 2 tires. Busted my TPMS sensor in the process, that's another $100 and a trip to a dealership, wasting more time and money.

I had the best experience today at the American Tire Depot in Culver City. Already when I called around Noon today Sunday 1.18.15 the new manager Diego there sounded on the ball and very professional on the phone he immediately answered my questions and proposed a plan of action to find out what I needed with my tire, then set me up for an appointment within the next hour. I went there, it's easy to find,and the good experience continued. Within a very short time my car was up so they could see if my tire could be fixed or if I needed a new tire. In 1 hours all my problems were solved. They fixed the tire and I was ready to go. When I asked how much I owed them he said no charge. I am delighted that they could fix my tire. He was the 4th person I had gone to. He was the only one who knew how to handle the situation in a professional manner. He proposed a plan and followed through on it. Had the tire not been fixable he has already detailed what our next steps were going to be. Diego is a great problem solver, he is a great listener and is a go getter. I am very happy to recommend him and his shop. Next time I need tires I will drive and work with him even though there is another depot close to where I live. Thank you Diego. SANDA ALCALAY

I've had mixed experiences here. Today made me realize that I need to find a more reliable place to get my service done. I've taken 3 vehicles here and have spent thousands of dollars over the years. My most recent visit included shocks, struts, oil change and repairing a tire with a slow leak; it had/has a nail in it. They failed to fix the tire. I took pictures of the nail before and after the repair. When I returned ~2 weeks later and spoke to the same sales person who helped me before, Rudy, he seemed annoyed and told me it would be at least 2 hours. I tried to explain that I didn't have 2 hours. He said that he can't allow me to "jump" in front of other customers. This is BS. It takes 30 min to fix a tire w/ a plug. I don't think he realized I knew better and I told him as much. I explained that he should give priority to customers who return with unsolved repairs. He didn't care and told me to come earlier if I want to be seen before other customers. I arrived 30 min after they opened. Like I said, time to find a new place.

Right off, another customer told me how long he had been having his car serviced at American Tire Depot in Culver City. Omar helped me by going and looking at my car parked across the street, first. He looked around for a good price for the full set which I knew I needed. He explained differences in brands and told me which tires are sold under different names but are the same. He stayed in touch all day with updates and was patient when I had an issue with my bank not posting a mobile check deposit. He included a free inspection and gave me a detailed list of what needs servicing next, why and how much each costs. This shop is huge and riding in my car feels like new again.

When entering the facility I was immediately approached by Izzy who assisted with my needs. I went to get a oil change. While inspecting my vehicle they tightened my belts eliminating a squeaky situation. And no additional charges imagine that. I have found my automotive needs repair shop. The last place I went to charged me156 dollars to open my hood and hear the water pump grinding and charged another 700 to change along with thermostat. It's awesome to find American Tire Depot who has fair prices and doesn't nickle and dime you every chance they get. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING THIS BUSINESS

My driver side tire was loosing air over couple of days. I just took in my car and 30 minutes later the car was fixed. They found and removed a nail and patched up the hole and they did all this for free! I could not believe my ears, nobody does anything for free these days. They guys were super professional and courteous as well. Will definitely go back if I need new tires.

I'd give them 4.5 stars if Google Plus allowed that fine a grain. Really a terrific experience -- I brought the car in, they patched my tire and DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is the waiting room. Kind of bare bones. Plastic chairs, a rest room, and a TV that showed nothing but ads for American Tire services. (They do a lot more than just tires.) But the TV wasn't so loud that I couldn't read, so I was okay for the hour or so that it took to patch the tire. Good place. Strongly recommended.

Excellent Experience! Great Customer Service! It was close to closing time but I had one tire that had a slow leak and another tire that was bubbling and about to pop. I needed at least two new tires but knew that would take some time to get replaced. Our customer service agent who was there looked up the tire inventory on his computer to ensure he had the tires we needed. He was able to get me a good deal to replace not just the two bad tires but all my tires, and he stayed there well beyond closing time to ensure I got everything done and that my car was safe again. I would like to thank the customer service agent who helped me along with all the tire technicians who also stayed late and took care of my car.

Went here to get a flat tire replaced. I was served right away but the whole thing has taken more than two hours to get my car back. Not only that, but the person that helped me added alignment service without consulting me. It came out to about $100 more than what I originally agreed upon. Another person helped me later and supposedly discounted me because of this. Even if you decide to go here, double check what you're getting.

I used to love this place last year. Their prices were reasonable and they were one of the few honest businesses in the area. This year they've been horrible. I went back in April for an oil change and power steering flush. My car came out with a gash in the leather driver's seat. Fast forward just under 2 months later. My oil was very low. I bring it in here and turns out my oil pan is destroyed and needs to be replaced. The employee behind the counter told me that whoever changed my oil last put the screw in too tight and destroyed it. He didn't even look in the computer to see that I got my oil changed with them last time! He literally incriminated himself. Then I get 3 miscellaneous fees on my bill in regards to getting my tires changed (tired disposal fee, etc.) but here's the catch: I didn't get my tired changed on either trip! In fact, there were no tire services performed whatsoever! On top of that, he tries to tell me my power steering fluid is dirty. When I just got it changed last time with them! What?! Long story short, I had to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and California Bureau of Automotive Repair and I got most of my money back. However, I never did recoup funds for the damage to my seat and a suspicious charge for wheel alignment when I seriously doubt they performed that service.

Terrible customer service. Took two hours just to rotate my tires, left them inflated at the completely wrong psi (which can be very dangerous--good thing I caught it), and then tried to tell me that I needed my timing belt changed when I got it changed 45,000 miles ago (it's rated for 90,000 miles). It's only a $1500 repair! These guys are incompetent and liars, par for the course when it comes to mechanics.

this place should advertise service for 2000 vehicle's. I have a the most horrible experience after spending over $500 Less than a year ago. They advertise for all vehicles but only work on what the mechanic preferences. After them writing false information number in my account saying I didn't have a wheel alignment after I purchased 4 new tires from them and decided to go with another mechanic being that the present mechanic was incompetent and did not know that the shocks I ordered, do fit my car (I wanted them to install some new shocks along, with the new tires). I was then unsure of this mechanic knowledge on cars.Then after I brought in proof that I did have an alignment their employee Neff lied and said I threatened him. All this because they don't want to work on my car. After I presented proof of my, I was then accused of this untrue act by the employee Neff. I have no desire to harm or distress anyone in this establishment or any other. To silence my unfair treatment this assasination of my character is the moral route in which this particular shop uses. Where is the integrity? Just because a costomer disagrees with an employee, lies are not the answer. So tread lightly and bring a tape recorder and video,if this is your choice of shop to utilize. Not mention they tighten the lug nuts on my vehicle so tight that they stripped and fell completely off. my whole family could have been dead!!! I get treated like this after I was the calm one who called and just wanted what I PAID cash money for.

First experience with this shop was having a tire patched. I hadn't bought tire from American Tire Depot but they still patched it for free in a little over an hour. When I needed to replace my tires I called to make an appointment and they let me know that if I bought tires that are in stock I could come in anytime, which was perfect for me. While replacing my tires they found that a couple of my wheels had a significant dent and called to ask for approval to fix the tires. When I came in to pick up the car they showed me pictures of the damage and repair which was very appreciated.

Apart from the wait that I had no choice but to sit tight and endure, I must say they saved my day with a smile. This does not excuse all the other horrible experiences I’ve had here in the pass with other employees at American tire depot. Only till today I actually had a great customer service thanks to Izzy, from talking over the phone the day before and asking questions to going down talking one on one. He was patient , honest, knowledgeable and very helpful. He cared and really took his time to do his job right and made sure I understood what had to be done. Sadly the once great service at this place is gone. I went last year and was given a great deal. Decided to go back again this year and not so much as a nice smile. They kept my car an entire day to change the tires. Last year a brand new set took 2 hours. Alas, they do have the best deals on tires anywhere but at the cost of paltry customer service. EDIT: I took it down another start because this morning when I did my monthly check of my car, I realized that the valve stems were not capped. None of the tires have a cap on them! Yet they charged $3 bucks a piece. Lame.

1st time ever coming to this location - Made an appointment at 2p for a tire change/installation. ($15) I was told it wouldn't take more than 30-45min. I wasn't serviced until 230p and Stayed an hour. Plus the man never put air in my tires or balanced the rest of them out which is common standard when putting a new tire on a car! This is why I hate auto places, they get over, they don't even care about your safety!

I liked this place because the guys in the shop were very nice, treated me like a person. They also answered all my questions. This is a new location. If you want to get a good deal, i found its best to call and talk to joe over the phone first, don't give him the opportunity to judge you before you get a deal. Over the phone he was cool and helpful. So i got all four new tires for 450 including installation and balancing. Then after he sees me he told me that my shocks were shot (he never even looked, and they are fine) quieting me 800$ for four shocks. ...ok. ... i found the same model by the same manufacturer for 22.00 and 26.00.... now i understand that there are expenses to running a shop, but seriously. I went in for a nail in two tires and was told I needed to replace all 4 tires. The tread was getting low so I agreed. I don't know how the prices compare to other shops but it cost me $700 for low end tires and an alignment. Once they were done, i began my drive home and immediately notice the car was pulling to the left. Im taking it back in today on my lunch. Im disappointed, but hopefully this will be a quick fix. I will upgrade the star rating if they take care of this quick.

Use to.like this place but today on veteran day my husband drop in at 11:20 for a low tire to be check out they told him 2 hours and the car needs alignment we accepted after 1:30 min of him waiting he calls and say pls pick me up this will take longer at 2 hour mark i call to cancel the alignment and they said ok i went in at 3 hours to pickup the car for flat tire i was being charge alignment and the flat was not repair i refuse to pay for.something that i cancel and was not done i never had my tire repair wasted 3 hours and nothing was done just move from front parking to back driveway this place no longer works for us so many years of referring people and of purchase tire for our 6 vehicles

Went in to purchase new tires this place was great at one time came out disappointed. When I pick up my car everything in my glove box was thrown on the floor I asked the manager what happened why was everything on the floor. He told me the owner of the vehicle who just has his car cleaned once a week that’s the he got it. I filmed everything when he saw me filming it. He ran and got the Tech. who serviced me to clean it up . Not once did he say were sorry. The following day my tire senser light goes on I take it back to him. He tell me it wasn’t there mistake contact my car dealer will I did they said only thing that breaks the senser is removing and installing a tire guess who that was and to this they don’t admit to it I’m still going back and forth with them Bad Business

Just showed up this afternoon and these guys fixed my punctured tire, plus advised me on a couple things that needed to be fixed under the hood. They explained exactly what needed to be done immediately, gave me a price for parts and labor, and a time frame. It turns out that there was another small issue found when making the parts switch, which these guys asked if they should just fix now since they were in the spot, and save me paying for labor again to fix it later. They even stayed past closing to make sure that they got the part ASAP and could give me my car back tonight! Came here after my tire sprung a leak a mile down the road. The tires I wanted were ordered and installed with a turnaround time of about 24 hours. A bit of a long wait but I had a clear schedule and it was unexpected. Rudy was very accommodating, which I appreciated as I was so flustered. I found prices to be reasonable and the rest of the staff were friendly. Would be nice if the waiting room had some comfier chairs and WiFi for longer waits, but overall I’m glad I came here.

The guys working at the reception are very friendly and welcoming. The service is great and they take time in insuring you have the services done with professionalism. Although I had to wait for sometime, but this was the nature of having to change my tires and battery including adjusting tires alignment. Horrible experience,I applied for credit,I forgot my wallet on the front desk for 30 seconds and 150 dollars disappear out of my wallet..I know it wasn't another costumer..I asked them to check their security cameras and they don't have any!!!!!weird and suspicious for a million dollar business(as they call it)No one tried to help,instead they were feeling offended and trying to make me feel guilty...so i never got my money back...too bad the job I requested was already done or I would never give them the job...after all my tires were installed I drive off,and a bolt was loose!!!!!i could of had a huge accident thank god I notice before i got on the freeway...From front desk to mechanics,all pathetic as well as their services,even though they are local I rather go to DTLA,at least they always been honest and responsible!!!

I called this location around noon asking about the complimentary flat tire fixes and the worker said yes they do it. I show up after work and the worker (not sure if same person) tells me that they no longer have a person to do it. He suggested for me to try the second location but when I got there the place was already closed. Also, location is terrible to find with barely any parking for both locations, which I guess is typical of LA.

I asked for them to help fix it and they said they were too booked to help me and they would help until two days later. DONT BUY ANY TIRES from them!! All the guys at the Culver City location are extra lazy, no real desire to help a customer out , all of the staff should get fired, the main guy at the counter was just sitting in his seat laughing and TEXTING AWAY! While watching YouTube videos from their cell phones they made me wait for an hour (even Though I told them that I am late for work,) just to tell me that they would NOT fix my flat because tire has less the 1/8 thread on it. Then they quoted me $515 for a set of new tires. After fixing it myself with an AutoZone kit and driving 5000 more miles on old tires. I end up getting better rated tire set from another small shop for $200 total!!! NEW TIRES!!! and of course gave that place 5 star rating. Hint that other place has 4.8 star overall rating. I don't want this guy's to bully that amaizing little shop. It took 40 minutes for that other shop to replace all tires, balance + make an alignment..... craaazy. Their method was 4 people working like a factory, I was so excited, I couldn't resist giving tips to everyone for their quality work. Then (meaning now) I remembered about this shity place and desided to actually bother leaving lowest posible review. By the way some other American tire depots aren't as bad as this location. I uploaded the photo of my old tire that they refused to fix that had another 5000 miles of it after that.

A good team and it certainly appears like they've done great mechanical work on my vehicle. Having said that, a couple of things have made the experience distasteful. (1) First, I brought it in to patch a tire, and was informed that all the tires should be replaced, which was reasonable. However, when the quote for the four tires came along it was clear each one was marked up about 15-20% more than the average available price on the market. Given that I was on a time crunch and could not shop it around other shops, I went for it. 15-20% is not absurd, but on a $1200 bill it does leave a bit to be desired. (2) Second, I was told a 1:30pm pick up and that I would get a call, which would have been great. 2pm or 3pm even would have been great as well. But, at 2pm I got a call saying it won't be ready until 4pm, at which time I had a meeting so my only option was to go at 5:30pm before they close at 6. This is Los Angeles... the difference on the streets between 1:30pm and 5:30pm is substantial, almost traumatic. Had the pick-up time been what was promised, I would have avoided an extra two hours spent on the road. In summary, while the mechanical work was sound, the 15-20% markup cost of materials plus a marginal loss of two additional hours of time due to poor administrative planning on their part -- not to mention the $60 in extra Uber rides I wouldn't have needed otherwise -- leaves a sub-par experience. But I will iterate again they do good, reliable mechanical work.

Very bad service. After 3 hours of waiting for changed one tire, They will give you a key and you will have to find the car by your self. You can expect to see your car street parking 200 ft. away, it almost under the freeway. They told me they are busy. I understood. I could see they were busy working in the maintenance area. However, in the office with three staff vs two customers, I expected to get some information from them but they didn't give me any information. I had to ask them every single question. Lastly, They will "say hold!" to you and you will wait with the question in your head." what am I waiting for?"
