I had a recommendation to go here to fix a slow leak in my tire. I was 700 miles from home and new nothing about any tire place. When I arrived, they were covered up with customers. They obviously have a great business. The owner asked me what I needed and he said they were busy but to have a seat and he would try to work me in. In about 20-30 minutes I was amazed when he came and got me and personally fixed my leak. Eveything I witnessed while there lets me know that this 30 year old family business deserves the outstanding reputation they have. Oh, and he only charged me $10.70

I had a lugnut come off. The guy at Plumlee said the threads were damaged and probably were missing when I spent my 800.00 dollars in tires. They were not and why wasn't I told when they put the tires on. He only offered to give me 5.00 dollars for a new lugnut and didn't even offer to check the rest of them. I bought my own and hand tightened it most of the way on. Never will I ever do business there again.

On 12-4-18 I took my Subaru Outback in for a wheel sensor replacement. The service person was pleasant and the entire repair only took 20 minutes. I am in the process of selling the car, so I have kept it very clean and detailed it myself personally. On 12-6-18 I detailed the car again and found that the same wheel that the sensor was repaired, had significant scratches on it in several places. I called Plumlee Tire and spoke with Dave, the owner about the damage. He immediately denied any responsibility and blamed potholes. He said there was no way that his shop or the tire machine would be able to cause the damage, because they had been in business for 35 years. I agreed that the tire machine could not do that type of damage and I disagreed that the shop could not have done damage due to obvious mishandling. The owner became agitated and hung up on me. I sent him pictures and showed that clearly show that the damage could not have been potholes or a tire machine, but from mishandling. The shop is an absolute mess and there are piles of random stuff everywhere, but he denied that an employee could have caused the damage by stacking something on the rim or stacking the rim on something. He balked and said it could not possibly be his shop and told me I could bring it in, but it was not his fault. Due to his exceptionally difficult stance and a 120 mile round trip, I decided to write this review instead of showing up to receive his excuses in person. I found his shop based on reviews and unfortunately I did not receive the same care as others. I should have taken my car to Walmart, as they charge $28, Plumlee Tire charged $70 and damaged a several hundred dollar rim. I wanted to keep my dollars local, and that was a bad call with this business. If you have a vehicle that you care about, seek out a shop that takes responsibility for their actions and does not blame the customer, hang up on them and end communication. Too bad that 35 years of service has the owner feeling like his shop can make no mistakes.

My first experience with Plumlee's was about 2 weeks ago, early March, when we purchased a new set of tires for our Prius C. First of all Dave and others were very accomodating in fitting us in without an appointment. They had the tires on and ready to go in about 10 minutes. Second experience was yesterday when I ran over a small deer antler rack. My wife called Dave Plumlee just to make sure he had the same type tire in stock and to make an appointment to get it changed. They set an appointment for next morning at 9am and by 10 minutes after they had us back to normal. I don't remember buying Road Hazard insurance but Dave adjusted the tire and we weren't charged one cent. This was certainly unexpected. We just want to say and agree with other reviews that their customer service and tire service skills both are excellent. We will be lifelong customers and share our experience with others. Thank you Plumlee Family for your service. We'll always be back.

These folks are awesome, I felt strongly that the fairly new tires that I had purchased from Walmart were out of balance. I had taken them back to Walmart 3 different times and instead of getting better in balance they had gotten worse. Mr. Plumlee told me that they would check them out. Sure enough they were out of balance. They balanced my tires even though I had not purchased them there,I was willing to pay them for the balancing of the tires but Mr. Plumlee said no charge. I've been doing business with Plumlee Tire for 20+ years. They always have competitive prices and are very honest guys to do business with. AND LET ME TELL YOU these guys are fast. You'll have 1 man per tire and they'll be done before you can get the bill paid (Literally). Early on I tried Wal-Mart and a couple other tire shops around looking for a cheaper deal. You might save $5 with the other guys but you'll wait half a day for them to get done. To me it's just not worth the savings. Try Plumlee Tire for yourself and you'll see that what I'm telling you is truth!

Widely considered to be the best tire shop in the area, they really let me down. Wife took the truck for an alignment and tire rotation and they broke a wheel stud, let her drive away like that without a word. When I called back to inform them, they chalked it up to being so busy, when my wife says it was all quiet with guys sitting around at the time of service. When I asked if they would fix the broken wheel stud, I got a refusal because "that happens, especially on these new cars.." This new car is an 02 Toyota Sequoia, so not exactly new. Should have gone to PSI tire on the corner of HWY5 and 201, next time I will.
