This Tires is classified in the category of Tire shop.
The loosened the stuck lug nuts on my truck and didn't charge me anything. Next time I need tire work I'm going here.
Great Staff, Fast Service, good prices. Been in Anchorage for 10 years and been to a bunch of automotive shops and tire shops. This place along with Superior Automotive and Phats Customs are my top 3. All are very knowledgeable and honest. Out of any tire place, Loren at the front desk was most helpful out of anyone I've ever dealt with trying to find the right size tires for a modified truck. Very knowledgable and patient. Best Tire shop in Anchorage.
Fast service. They take same day appointments if open.
Super nice people! Not my first visit or my last!!
We are from out of town and stopped in to make sure the tires were good before we started our adventure. Walked in, very friendly staff. Had us pull into a bay and they checked our tires for no cost. Awesome staff.
I called this afternoon about a flat tire. Not even tires they put on my truck. I took the truck down to have the inner and outer beads checked. They found a leaky valve stem! They replaced it and had me back on the road in a half hour! Great customer service and an amazing group of guys! Thank you so much for the work! I'm always happy when I go see them!
Super fast and affordable
Service was fast and well done.
Fast and friendly fair prices. If you need a Tire store to help you. This store is for you.
OUTSTANDING service. Alway take care of the customers and the only once i know carry the top of the line winter tires. Nokian hakapleta 8 and 9. Great warrenty, not trying to aqueeze every penny out of you. Quality wirk. This is my tire shop as long as i will need tires.
When I don't have time to work on my own truck or can't due to being a disabled veteran, I bring it to Derek and Kevin where I know everything will be taken care of and repaired well beyond my expectations. They just serviced my front brakes, u-joints, front & rear shocks, battery swap, oil change and tire changeover with alignment; now my Toyota pickup rides like it's 100k miles newer! Employees are all trained and certified to the highest standards in automotive mechanical work and the services my family receives are always consistent without fail. In two weeks I will be having Derek replace my rear drum brakes and install new axle seals that recently failed, which I was unaware of until Kevin did a courtesy check of my chassis. Do yourself and your vehicle a favor and take it to the crew at Anchorage Tire Factory, where it is one of the few places left in Anchorage that still puts out quality work and superb customer service. Thank you Kevin and Derek, the truck runs and rides like new.
Quick service staff wasn't very friendly but that's okay.
I called them to fix my motor home tire ,then they say yes bring in and we'll fix it anytime, after couple of minutes I call back to ask the prize, they said we don't do motor home tires , what the??? I almost drive my car there for nothing,
Outstanding service! I was out of town for a week and my wife had to get studs on my truck while I was gone. We just moved to Alaska and didn't know who was a good tire dealer in town. My wife called ATF and they got her in right away. Ben was awesome and the guys took very good care of my her, which I greatly appreciated. We called other tire stores but they were almost too busy to even talk to us on the phone. ATF took the time and energy to make sure all our questions were answered and we were happy with our service. ATF rocks and will always have our business.
These guys are great! Highly recommend for competent, honest and quality work for your autos, trucks and fleet vehicles. I only use top shelf serviced for my tour business vehicle--Anchorage Tire Factory easily satisfies my high expectations.
Prices aren’t for Alaska so make sure you write down make n model for every tire your interested in then call
Pretty pricey and the dude at reception seems to be always in a bad mood, but overall they do their job well
Tie rod end (inner and outer), tire rotation and balance. Had a wobble. No longer have a wobble. Lifetime warranty on my particular tie rod ends. Did not even cost me an arm or a leg.
Really great customer service, friendly, fast, good work.
I will start by saying I usually have good luck with The Tire Factory. However, I noticed a small nail in my tire and took it to the Old Seward Location to have it fixed. After several minutes I noticed the guy spraying my tire to try and locate the nail. He was having trouble because there was no leak, just a small nail. I went out and showed him where the nail was. After 45 minutes I began to wonder what was taking so long. He had drilled a hole in my tire to insert a plug however he didn't follow the nail hole, instead he drilled to the side towards my sidewall. So after installing two 1/4" plugs to fill a 1/16" nail hole the tire had developed a leak. They put the tire back on and told me I would have to buy 2 new tires. These are close to $400 each. No other resolution was offered. I will not be going back and would not recommend this location for any repair work. Update: The manager called me from his vacation and will be replacing the tire. This is the service I normally get from the tire factory.
honest, and fast..... my go to mechanic and tire shop.
Awesome customer service. Best in anchorage.
This Spring, I went to another tire place in to install some atv tires i had bought onto my existing rims and had sticker shock. Then I went to Anchorage Tire Factory and they were 50% less for the install than the other guys. Tire Factory got me in and out quickly and with a fair price. I went back a couple weeks ago with what I though was a screw in my tire because the pressure had dropped. They got me in quickly, removed the tire, soaped it up and found no leak. The tech filled me up to proper pressure and they didn't charge me. When my truck needs its original tires replaced, I'll be going to the Anchorage Tire Factory.
Very efficient. They took care of me as a walk-in and I’d highly recommend them.
Do not go here I got my tires changed over here and they gave tires that were not mine back to me then when I called them to tell them they said there was nothing they could do
Great service and fast too!!!
I came in yesterday and the person at the front desk acted like I was a clueless kid. I came in well before closing hours and was told they were too full. I asked when a better time to come was, but she shrugged at me and said any time. No help whatsoever. I can more than understand being too busy to take on more customers, however, the rudeness I received upfront made me take my business elsewhere.
I have always had an excellent experience.
The staff and service was outstanding and I do not say that lightly. My family and were heading out of town in our RV when I encountered tire issues. I thought I had to cancel the trip. Boys were disappointed. I tried the normal channels, Costco, Sam's Club, and Johnsons, but the late our did not give us too many options. Not only did they have the tires I needed in stock, they got them on their and within an hour we were on the road.
Good service & work
Seemed to be a good value for ties that were special ordered from the lower 48. They have free rotate and balance and flat repair. They also have a partnership with other chains in the western part of the US so you should be covered at those locations as well. Staff would not take 2-3 minutes to file a sharp spot on the wheel that is only accessible when the tire is off. Wheel repair is "not their thing". Seriously one jagged spur that would take a few strokes from a file. I would still recommend this place.
I love going here for an oil change, today Mike, Phil, and Hunter helped me with an oil change. They made the experience enjoyable and very fast, no drop off needed! I’m definitely returning for further services needed.
Stopped in to have nitrogen put in my tires. People who work here are very friendly and quick! Definitely will bring my car here!
The staff were VERY helpful and able to get me in and out in an extremely timely fashion. I’m very happy with their service
This place did a great job fitting out my ride even though they couldn't get these wheels and tires!
I came here after endless horrible experiences with other companies. The staff here was excellent. I had new tires put on and a wheel alignment. They did a phenomenal job. This place actually cares and explains everything to you. Theres no bs here as with places like lithia chevy a.k.a (bunch of crooks). Im so happy i came here, and will never go anywhere but here.
Sean and Laurie helped with my tire repair quickly and effectively. Friendly people too.
Kevin is awesome, a great mechanic with a kind heart and his state-of-the-art facility has all the needs for your Automotive
Fast, professional service, and great price on Nokian studded tires. I couldn't find them cheaper, even online.
Good service, and they didn't try and cheat me which they could have and that's always nice.
I've been coming here for a long time. They are fast and professional. I have zero worries when going here.
Pretty straight forward. No appointment needed. First come first service. Not sure if you are purchasing tires you get a boost. Fills up quick especially during tire changeover seasons
First come first serve. I love it! Accurate time waiting estimate and a superior product. My Nokian Tyres are great.
People should visit this store rather going to expensive showrooms Totally satisfied with the way they handle the customers
I'm so impressed with Anchorage Tire Factory. I went in today and bought studded tires. They had what I needed in stock and even though they were extremely busy after the first snow fall they managed to squeeeze me in at the end of the day and changed over my tires for me. I will definitely go back there and I would recommend them to my friends. Thank you Anchorage Tire Factory for making me a little bit safer on the roads.
I was working in the lower 48 when my 18 yr-old daughter had a tire issue. My go-to tire shop (Purcell) didn't have what I needed in stock, so they referred me to the Tire Factory. They cost just a hair more than Purcel, but they had what I needed in stock and did a great job. I really appreciate the hand-holding for my daughter in my absence.
Very unreliable ! I would never give them my business or trust them again. Extremely disappointed, however, I don’t think it matters to management.
Place is a rip-off overpriced do not recommend using this tire company
Excellent service!!
Great shop staffed by down to earth guys. Very little pretense. Not too slick and not too ratty. They know what they're talking about, and they'll take 5 minutes to check out your TPMS, tell you your options, and generally treat you like a human being. Anchorage doesn't have enough businesses like this left.
Update 7/25/18-It's exceedingly rare for me to go back to a business after an experience like I detailed below, and even more rare that I would change a review from 1 to 5 stars. But here I am, compelled to share this update. After my initial review, @KevinDonnelly reached out to me via FB Messenger and expressed his genuine concern for how my initial experience unfolded at @anchoragetirefactory. Not only did he acknowledge the errors of staff and the business in general, he made it clear to me that the errors I encountered would be used for training to ensure an experience like mine won't happen again. Additionally, he offered an amazing price on the tires I wanted that included mounting and balancing. Today I went back to the business to take advantage of that offer. All I can say is "wow"! I'm mightily impressed with this business. They took excellent care of me and have completely restored my faith in local businesses. I highly recommend this business. It's almost unprecedented how they made up for an initial bad experience. I'll be returning to this business for all my future tire needs and will sing their praises from now on. Kudos, Kevin! You demonstrated a level of professionalism, customer service, and good business practices I thought didn't exist in this town. As I write this, I'm still in awe.♥ What follows is why choose Amazon over shopping local: I ordered tires for my 8 year old car in April. Was told they would only be a few weeks. Today, July 19th, I get a call that the tires are in. I asked why they took so long to get here. Turns out they got them in April. They said my number had no answer or voice mail. I manage a hotel. We have staff at the front desk from 8 AM to 11 PM, 7 days a week, and a voicemail system for missed calls. So I instruct them to mount the tires. Guess what? They ordered the wrong size. I ordered 265/75R16's and they ordered 265/70R16's. The gal at the front desk starts frantically calling local places to find the right size. I told her she won't find them as I had already done that prior to choosing them. But she keeps on. Finally I asked her to stop and just give me my keys. If they had at least made some kind of effort to comp me for their mistake I'd feel differently. Free mounting and balancing, get the right tires expressed up here, anything. So I drove away frustrated and without tires. So many folks preach "shop local" or "keep Alaska dollars in Alaska's economy". Why should I waste time "shopping local" when the local provider can't get it right or comp me when they make an error? This is exactly why local retail is dying. I can get exactly what I want through Amazon. No waiting, no errors. Yeah, I've got to ship the tires to Bellingham and then have them trucked/shipped up but I'd much rather do that than deal with locals who clearly put customer service/satisfaction way down the list after the transaction. Hey Alaska Tire Factory... you lost a potential forever customer and completely failed to get anywhere close to my needs, or even offer to fix what you screwed up. I hope other will take heed of my experience and look elsewhere for their tire and service needs. This business doesn't get it. I doubt they ever will. :(
I am very please with Anchorage Tire Factory. They are fast, easy and very understanding! I bought tires back in 2014 that had a warranty for 40 K miles and after one year, after 20 k miles they were shot and I needed new ones. I did not contact them for a year because I didn't need summer tires because of winter. So now in 2016, I asked them to honor the warranty and because I did get half life out of those tires, they are giving me 50% off a brand new set of tires! Thanks Anchorage Tire Factory!!!
Best tire store in Anchorage. Great prices, great Nokia tires from Finland, great warranty, and most importantly great SERVICE.
If you getting an oil change this place is fast and efficient always in and out
Came here for an oil change and mount and balance. They took good care of me and did a thorough job. I was actually in the bay while they did the oil change, so was able to watch the service. No attempts to upsell me. The downside... $75 for an oil change. Just your standard 4-5 quarts of 5w30 conventional. Whoah! I already had my car in the bay and told them if they gave me a good deal on the mount and balance, it was all good. Mind you this was 10 degree weather, snowy, and my engine was piping hot. Not a day I would want to change my own oil. End of the day, they unmounted 9 tires, mounted and balanced 5, and actually got the tire pressure right. Not one protest about mounting my used tires that were slightly off spec. Loaded my other wheels into the truck. Charged just $40 for dealing with my wheels/tires that were sitting outside frozen. Appreciate it guys! Overall, nice staff and very good service. They did give me a good deal on the tire service. I cannot recommend a $70+ oil change, though.
Good price, cheaper than a few other places in town, at least for the specific studded tires I was looking for. Great customer service, really friendly, and knowledgeable. Sizeable waiting area with vending machine, free popcorn, and coffee.
I went in the other day and Derrick (spelling) was extremely kind and professional. He answered all of my questions and even showed me one of the studs that I had questions about. Recommend this place highly for his customer service skills.
As a female i dread going to get my car in. But i walked in and they took care of everything, explained what was best for my car and was out of there quickly. Defiantly would recommend to others
I took my wheels and snow tires to get mounted, easy job and they have done a good job before. picked up my tires and when I got home saw they used the clamp style weights on one of my wheels to balance and the rest they used the correct weights for aluminum wheels. I would not use them again as this is a not correct for these wheels, and most good shops stopped using these many years ago!?
Quick and professional.
Polite staff with unbeatable market value service.
Very nice, professional staff.
Excellent customer service nice clean waiting area mounted n balanced tires for me great place.
I had a good experience getting tires. They have great in house warranties.
Quality products and services. Road hazard warranty and free flat repairs on tires purchased from there.
Has yet to ever wrong me, which for a mechanic shop is pretty much gold, and for a tire shop they are fantastic.
They didnt have the part i was looking for and were happy to point me somewhere what did. Very good staff.
They will not tell you their prices (Warning) on their website, instead they allow you to "request" a quote. Very shady. You have to enter in all of your info so they can spam you just so they can e-mail you a price that should be listed next to the pic ON THEIR SITE.
Fast service great price
The greatest experience I have had with an automotive shop in Anchorage. The staff is very professional even when it is very busy and the customers are being rude and childish. They have been busy all day today and Lauren has still shown her professionalism through it all. Also the prices here are very affordable. I will continue to bring my vehicles for as long as I live in Anchorage . AK for life!!!!
I bought studded tires and got them installed here. Ryan at the front desk was awesome!!!
Excellent staff & service. Honest, good people. We highly recommend them.
I have a 2002 mitubishi lancer oz rally i literally found no tires nor rims anywhere but here thaks guys !
Great job guys. Changed tires for my vehicle pretty fast and for a reasonable price. Got satisfied. Would highly recommend them.
Bought Nokian tires. The tires are good and they had them in stock. But I didn't get them installed here. Price was reasonable. Maybe they can be more proactive and provide better customer service.
Got my truck right in and got the estimate done within 45 minutes.
Excellent
unloaded and loaded my on tires and wasn't called when news tires were ready
Very knowledgeable and efficient. Great staff.
Great deals and they usually supply hard to find tires.
The best place man they tool care of me
