When shopping around to get some work done in the area, I decided to check this place out. I walked in at about 7-8pm to hopefully talk with some of the artists. Upon walking in I saw a couch with a few portfolios on it, and a group of about 10 people crowded into a room a few feet away. Not wanting to disturb anybody, and not being able to distinguish between who were artists and who were just standing around in there in the first place, I took a seat and started flipping through the binders while waiting for the place to die down. After about 30 minutes of waiting, nothing changed. Nobody left the room, nobody lifted a needle or pen, and despite being noticed nobody said a single word to me... In the end I left and went to The Twisted Needle, where there staff were awesome from the second I entered the door, and did a fantastic job with the work I wanted done- exceeding what I had even envisioned! So in the end, I cannot speak to the quality of the artists here, or the work that they do. Maybe there is some unstated policy where you have to call ahead or something before you even walk in the door, I don't know. But, with over $4,500 in ink so far, and having been tattooed in 6 shops across 4 states, I can say that without a doubt that this was the least proffessional shop I have ever been into- regardless of having work done or not. My advise would be to not rely on your ratings or reputation to sell your shop. If you can't get out on the front lines, interact with potential clients and sell your work for yourself, then your missing what I value as the most important aspect of being an artist. Personability. Without it, you can have all the talent in the world, but I would never pay to suffer through the work you would do.

Than and Chris are exceptional artists with many years of experience. The vibe in their shop is laid back and relaxed and you feel welcome and at home once you walk in. Both artists have their own unique styles, but both have been tattooing for longer than most artists in Cheyenne, and it shows in their portfolios as well as their clientele, who will stop in and visit with them on days they aren't getting tattoos, and they both have a large following of regular customers. The shop is very clean and both artists take safety and sterility very seriously. Any of the other artists they may have working in the shop can be trusted to do clean and high quality work as well. I get all my work done at Crimson Sky, and I tell everyone about them. My tattoos get compliments almost every day and I could not be happier with them. I highly recommend visiting Than or Chris for a consultation, they are happy to sit and talk about your ideas and sketch up something amazing as well.
