His tattoos looked really good but I can't say the same for his piercings (one person does both). I have several piercings already and this was by far the worst one I've recieved. I went to this guy to get my tongue pierced and everything was fine until he decided to pull the needle instead of pushing the jewelry through. He then tried to blame me, saying I "moved". Then his wife and "helper" had the audacity to tell me I almost got two pokes for the price of one! Do not recommend for piercings, but his tattoos looked nice and people seemed happy with them.

I love this place! I've gotten 3 tattoos and my lip, nose, and belly button piercings there. Lovely people, great atmosphere, and AMAZING tattoos. I will only EVER get my tattoos done by Quinton. I highly recommend to everyone I know to go to Copaset-x. I went their for the first time in. 2005 and I have been going their every since. The tattoo shop is a shop that you can feel comfortable to bring in your children as not everyone can get a sitter. The shop is clean (who would want a dirty place working on you). Quinton and the other artists always open the equipment in front of you. They go above and beyond to make sure you tattoo experience is the best. I have seen people of all ages getting tattoos even people that are in their later years. I have received several piercings at the shop as well and have had nothing but great experiences. Quinton has even have my children and their friends 'tattoos' (with a sharpie) so they feel like they are a part of the experience as well. I will never go anywhere else to get a tattoo. And that is with living 7 hours away. He is worth the drive.

Ok well came to visit for Christmas. Last day there me and my woman decided to get matching tattoos. We go in at 2pm "their opening time" already to see full line of people already let it. So after waiting a short time the tattoo artist asks what we were there for and everything and he tells us no problem come back at 5pm and I informed him that I have to leave state by 8 at the latest. He says no problem and that he only has 1 person ahead of us. Ok 5 comes and we called at 4:40 to double check. "Yeah finishing up last person now, come on this way" he says on the phone. Upon arriving we see still a waiting room full of the same people from before who says they're still waiting. Hmmm ok, so after the artist walks out from the back he sees us for the 2nd time (3rd time talking to him including phone) and he completely did not remember telling us to come in 5 minutes ago that we were next and proceeded to tell us that he wouldn't be able to fit us in at all today. I do know the man Ian that he supposedly "trained" under and I know he would not let something like this happen. Customer relations is a flat %0 here as they obviously don't have any back bone to their word. Good place for cheap lettered tattoos, but I wouldn't bring any serious work or pieces to be done by them as they are more worried about doing names for people and fonts then actual tattoos. Never coming back to Beckley for tattoos. Might as well save your money and go to Princeton or Charleston. Highly dissatisfied.

I just moved back in town and had no idea who to get my Ink from. I called and got in the very next day. At first I was nervous, but once he got finished with my tatts I was beyond pleased. Called several hours throughout the day to see if they did walk ins and I was told yes please come after seven. Which I did and even came by and made sure I could get work done. Was explained that yes he could get to me it was just be a couple hours and that he would call me. Waited 2.5 hours and called myself and was explained that there were two more people put ahead of me as well as a piercing and that it would be another two hour wait. This meant I travelled over an hour and waited in Beckley for four hours only to not have any work done and not even a curtousy of being told that I would not be able to be done that night. Sometimes being upfront when you have no idea if you can actually give paying customers any work might ensure you actually have a paying customer. Read most reviews and specifically chose this place because of high recommendation and the fact that walk ins were welcome. Completely understandable that it couldn’t be done on a busy weekend but so frustrating to be done like that and waste a whole Saturday evening for nothing. Would’ve probably made an appointment if I were told from the beginning when I showed up it was not possible to be done tonight. Very disappointed. ***edit. Completely not what was told to us. We walked in at 7(when we were told to come for walk ins) and was told he had four WALKINS ahead of us not scheduled appointments. I never gave anyone my schedule to accommodate to. Waiting patiently for four hours do to it being so busy to be blown off. I got absolutely no call after being told at 930 “ I’ll get to you just two more walkins ahead of you and a piercing”. Absolutely scheduled people go first however you should never tell someone to keep waiting for four hours if you can’t get to them. Only put this review because you mainly only reply to bad comments with snippy and smart remarks trying to justify bad business. Thanks for the offer but not thanks.
