Bearded dude piercer will pierce you crooked and then argue that it isn't crooked, "it just needs to heal and the skin is so thin you can't pierce it crooked." Almost four years later and my smiley is still crooked, and it wasn't cheap. Will never go back for piercings. A refund would have been nice to have been offered, but he only offered to remove the piercing. I would have done a better job piercing myself.

Very pleased with my tattoo. If you are a pro at getting a tatoo, you'll be fine, but if you are new to this endeavour, they won't do anything at the check-in desk to make you more comfortable, which is why the 4 stars instead of 5. I did find both artists I used made the process easy once I was on their table.

Got my bellybutton pierced here recently. The piercer here seems to be quite detached from his customers and harbors no sincerity at all. The piercing was done cleanly and nicely, but after payment the piercer and an associate (perhaps a tattoo artist) commented that my septum piercing was "done wrong". Like, dude... I just let you stick a needle through my skin and paid you $40 for it, and now you are going to blatantly disrespect me and someone else's work because it doesn't look like yours. Also of note: I had a friend who got her nipples done here and he used a short bar on her, which is the wrong kind of jewelry for the healing process (as the jewelry can't move and it constricts cleaning). I also had a man speak to me about how his tongue piercing was entirely crooked after his swelling went down. And this place also has a bad reputation for piercing septums too high on the nose. It is a hit and miss with Black Eagle. People either love the place or hate it because of bad experiences. I personally will definitely not be returning here. I'm genuinely surprised the reviews on Google are this good.

I walked in with a photo of what I wanted and was greeted right away by several people. Within minutes, I had the artist quoting me a price and measuring my shoulder. I made my appointment for the next day, arrived and Jamie Taaffe got right to work.I was thrilled when I saw the completed piece, it was more beautiful than I imagined! The entire staff was professional and welcoming and the establishment was clean, organized, and had a fantastic aura.I will definitely be going back for ALL my tattoo work! Thanks!

My experience at Black Eagle Tattoo was phenomenal. After printing off at least 4 or 5 pages of images that I liked as part of a tattoo, Jamie Taaffe was able to combine my ideas and create a design that I loved. The whole shop is very clean, and well organized. The staff is friendly, which made the process of getting a tattoo easy from the get-go. I'd recommend Black Eagle to anyone wishing to get a tattoo, their staff and artists are really top notch.

I absolutely LOVE their work !!!! Its a clean and friendly place. I'm about to go on a little rant here so forgive me. I got my first 3 tattoos here and they were sentimental and meaningful to me. Hannah was amazing and made small talk with me while she was working. I went back a couple months later to get a touch up and I had to wait 2 hours longer than my scheduled appointment. Was my mom mad? Absolutely. She doesn't have patience and neither do I. I see a lot of reviews saying that they are so slow. Well, I'd be slow too if i were dragging needles through someone's skin. Permanently. So I completely understood that Hannah took her time and made sure her customer was happy with the work. When she got to me she apologized and was super nice and helpful. Recently I got two tattoos at another tattoo shop and they aren't that great. Definitely regret these. So I made an appointment to see if hannah can do a coverup. It's not a guarantee that she can, especially with what I asked for but that's what consults are for. I'm hoping she can tho. I just love black eagle. They are definitely pricy but I swear by them and by their work. I will not be going to another shop anytime soon. Beautiful job !!!

Took my son in for his first tattoo today. (23yearsold) We chose Ryan Spradling to do his piece. Ryan was extremely professional and gentle handed. He worked at my sons pace. If he needed a break, he stopped. I myself have had several tattoos from artist's around the country, I must say Ryan was one of my favorite. He will be doing my next piece. Two thumbs up 5 stars. The shop is beautiful. Comfortable, clean and top notch. Probably the nicest shop I've ever seen. If your in the Charleston WV area, GO TO Black Eagle Tattoo and see Ryan.

So I went there for a simple tattoo. A little heart with three symbols...just basically a V in three different places. I showed him a picture and my sis who was with me had the same one. I didn't see how to mess this up. He finished and the heart is barely red and he didn't outline the heart. I asked him to and he went on about how it would scar if he did. I have many tattoos and this seemed crazy that he didn't do this. Will have to wait till it heals..reshade and outline then. This is not acceptable. I was disappointed because the shop seems cool and the other two guys were nice and answered my questions. So a few days later I can see the lines are running. So after it heals I get to spend more money to try to fix this. It will never match my sister's tattoo. I am truly unhappy.

I went to get my upper lobes and helix pierced, and the lady was great. She got me in very quickly, and she walked me through the entire process. She also didn't close the clamps on your ears as some piercers do, which I really appreciated. It's been about 4 days now, and there has been very little redness or pain, which is worlds above the experience I had the first time I got my lobes pierced, where they got infected very soon after I had them done, and took about 6 months to heal. Overall, a pleasant environment, a knowledgeable piercer, and a good experience.

This rating is by Tracie. Last night I went up there not for a tattoo but for a piercing and their regular piercing artist is without a doubt THE BEST ANYONE COULD POSSIBLY GO TO! She was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and her technique was such that I knew without a doubt I was going to b taken very good care of AND clean! My impromptu session became a impromptu therapy session as well. She was SO VERY caring and had a huge heart just like myself. Her name is Jennifer and I HIGHLY recommend her and no one else. She's an amazing asset to this business.

I came here once for a walk in everything was great I loved the guy who tattooed me and his work so I decided to make a future appointment for a bigger tattoo on my arm. I live two hours away to drive to a 5 min consult that’s fine, this was in January I scheduled it for feb 22nd Put my deposit down and then I come for my appointment that day and the rude front desk lady told me my appointment wasn’t even scheduled but they see where I paid my deposit (I even had a card with a date and time they wrote) I told her I drove two hours she didn’t care. So I rescheduled for May 28th today just came in and told me they supposedly called me twice to tell me zac wasn’t going to be here today which one I’m always in service and two they could’ve emailed me or messaged me if I didn’t answer, so I drive two hours AGAIN which I even called them two days ago to make sure I had my appointment still just Incase because I also took off school and work for this appointment! Their customer service and communication are HORRIBLE!!!!!

Had cartilage pierced and the wrong size shaft was placed for a "beginner piercing" for that area of my ear. Stayed extremely inflamed and swollen. Went back, had the shaft changed which helped some. Still had many, many problems. Went to another piercer and it turned out the original piercings were at a diagonal angle...they would have never healed properly. Had to take them out, wait 3 weeks for nodules to go away, and have redone. Also, they do not use very high quality jewelry. Demand a place that uses brands like Neometal, Anatometal, or BVLA. May cost a little more, but worth the price.

I've never left a review anywhere before but this place was an exception! I go in yesterday as a walk in to get a memorial tattoo for my mother that just passed....the girl at the desk comes off a little rude..but ok that's fine..some people are just not happy with life..I get it..anyways..she tells me to come back in an hour when the artist is finished up with the client he was working on, to find out if he would be able to get me in..so I gotta wait an hour...2 even find out if he can get to me?! Ok.. cool..so I come back in about 30min.. there's a guy that has come in ahead of me by this time..(since she didn't put me in line) and the girl says "he's just getting some numbers..it shouldn't take long..then we can get u in" so I send my husband and 7yr old out and about for the day so I can sit and wait so I didn't lose my place in line again..then after sitting about 2 hrs..the artist FINALLY finishes up with the client he was working on when I had 1st gone in.. (that was supposed to be finished an hour from when I 1st went in..that turned into 3hours!!) Then he come out..and walks around a little..and does whatever.. and takes another 30min or so..ok I understand u need a break..but then..after filling out the paperwork and all that, the front desk girl walks over to me and says.."well the guy ahead of u is gonna take longer than we thought..the numbers are bigger than we thought..so we won't be able to see u today" ARE U KIDDING ME?? So I had to call my husband to come pick me up and the they still hadn't even started on the guy ahead of me!! The artist was outside smoking when I left..not in a hurry for anything..the girl told me he was open Monday and I could come back..but never offered a discount or an apology or anything for wasting all together over 3hrs of my day..SMH SLOW AND UNFRIENDLY.. that's the review they get..sorry for the long post but I was highly disappointed with this place..I've read other reviews where people said the employees smelled like alcohol..maybe that contributed to the slowness...who knows..I miss the shop that used to be there !

I got my nose pierced here recently. I came in on a Saturday and was taken back quickly after I filled out the paperwork. The woman who did my piercing was so friendly and professional. She explained aftercare to me thoroughly, was careful to keep everything clean and sterile, and helped me feel less nervous. The piercing itself was quick and nearly painless. The jewelry is included in the cost of $40. Update: I believe the jewelry used was steel (she didn't tell me what it was so that is my guess since it was cheap enough to be included in the cost). My piercing was staying red and swollen so I switched it out for real gold jewelry and it's been perfect since.
