SO DISAPPOINTED!! SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I have been following Michelle's art for years because I was a huge fan and wanted to get my main piece done by her. I filled out my application with a basic idea of what I wanted, stating that I was super flexible with size, placement, and style so she could let her creative juice flow. I also said that I wanted her to really put herself into it and I wasn't worried about cost. I asked the guy at the front desk some questions about the process, but he was more interested in telling me about his work than helping me with mine so I didn't receive very clear answers. He did say this piece was right up her ally and I was told her assistant would call me and do a phone interview that weekend. 2 weeks went by and I heard nothing so I politely emailed the shop asking if I was missing something and I got a huge long response from Michelle declining my project stating that she had a hand injury and cant do ribs and how she didn't respond because of this and that. I replied requesting that she reconsider since I never even received an interview, stated that I felt it was a misunderstanding, and restated how flexible I was with placement. I got a rude email back from Michelle stating that she went on my Facebook and called one of the people on my friends list to complain that I was being pushy. I apologized if it came of like that explaining that I was just excited and felt I deserved at least an interview. Nothing.
I think its immature and ridiculous that she had the time to call that person instead of just me. I never got to speak with her or her assistant. This ended up just becoming a ego fit and she clearly doesn't care about the art anymore. The popularity has gone to her head. So if you still want work done, make sure you walk on eggshells with her and have your Facebook on private.
