The older chick and the young dude that looks like a girl we're so rude to me. They refused to tattoo me because of my previous artist, I have no reason why they told me to go back to him because they don't want my business. so unprofessional it was crazy. Also they had customers in the waiting area and they were making fun of them because they didn't have any tattoos. I couldn't believe my experience, I recommend anywhere else but here.

My husband was recommended by a friend to go to Homage Tattoo. We both went and were seen by Kirk. He was fast and has a gentle hand. Fairly priced and just a cool dude all around. All the staff were pretty awesome. His tattoos are bright and and his artistry is on point. I had a logo and he took the original idea and completely turned into something I would never of thought of. I was blown away by the intricate detail he had put into it. I walked by this little place about 9 months wanting to walk-in to get something (family in town thought what the heck) ended up coming back (a little less tipsy) to get a simple molecule tattoo down my arm. The Tattooist did a phenomenal job crisp straight line work so I ended up coming back a few later for a sternum tattoo and then yesterday for a thigh piece. We ended up finding out that we had friends in a small town connected to each other which made the experience that more cool. I have been tattooed by some cool people and this place is awesome. There dirt says come in as strangers leave as friends and they definitely live by that rule. They are very kind, respectful, professional and most of all just some kick as people to spend hrs with while getting tattooed. Homeage has a lifer with me. Thank you!!!

As of this moment I have to give this place one star which is unfortunate because at first impression I liked it. That was until Curt, came over and was rude. He, I believe, assumed I was price shopping. Considering this would be my first tattoo more so than anything I was looking for a place I felt comfortable with. Curt, failed there. Not to mention he had bad breath. I feel for his paying customers.

I was even once called a “Commie” at a tat shop in AZ. Homage Tattoo is welcoming, friendly, and has a great atmosphere. I’m brown and gay and feel absolutely welcomed at Homage Tattoo. This tattoo shop is extremely professional, clean, and friendly. All of the artist treat you with nothing but respect the second you walk in the door, they even have a sign on the door “enter as strangers, leave as friends” which they more than live up to. I’ve been going here for the better part of the last year and don’t have any intention of changing that! All three of the artist will give you are extremely skilled and care about the work they do. I’ve recently seen some review claiming that this shop is racist and bigoted. That could not be further from the truth, and anybody who has spent more than five minutes with Kirk Melissa or Matt would say the same thing. I 100% recommend this shop to anybody looking for an extremely nice tattoo and also a positive experience with some good people.

Rude greeter. He acted like he was annoyed with me the entire time. I just wanted a simple flower and semicolon tattoo. He said I couldn't get it facing towards me. It would be backwards. My tattoo is for me not for other people. We were patient with him the entire time and let him draw his version out it and was pretty. But the vibe he gave me was terrible. My mother attempted suicide, and the semicolon suicide awareness tattoo is important to me. So I had to walk away because he just seemed annoyed at my presence and how I wanted it. I honestly wished I could have dealt with someone more professional and polite.

I entrusted Kirk with my youngest daughters first tattoo today, as well as an add on to an exsisting one of mine. I met him the day before with art ideas we wanted. Okay, in complete honestly, I loved this place and I would go back. I feel like tattoo shops are intimidating when it comes to your first, but once you’re at Homage and talking to them they’re so great and helpful. Kirk really made mine and my best friend’s idea so much better than imaginable. He’s was great to talk to during the actually tattooing as well. They were also helpful with making an appointment when needed. I’m flying out Thursday and they got us in Wednesday night. So thankful for that.

THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE! What a great shop to trust your ink to! All of the artists take their craft very seriously and are more than knowledgeable about the ART of tattooing and have a passion. I walked in to try and get a consult/talk with someone without having an appointment or anything and was greeting warmly and openly. I was able to discuss ideas and get an appointment set up before walking out that day. At the appointment, I was not disappointed! The piece turned out amazing and my artist, Kirk, seems just as excited about it as I am, which is what you want! Melissa was also kind enough to consult with me DURING my tattoo about possibly getting a friend in for one - how awesome is that? It is also incredible work for the price that you pay - very reasonable. The entire shop is doing great work and it has been a wonderful experience that I look forward to going back for soon.

Got some work done by Matt. His patience with me was great, I had to reschedule twice before finally being able to come in. Both times he was really great about it. When life finally allowed me to make it in, he showed me the piece (some knotwork) and his attention to detail was great. Even during the session he found something he didn't like and corrected it. The customer service is second to none, so far the quality of the tattoo is excellent, and the price is more than fair. I have no doubt in my mind that if you choose to get your tattoo here you will not be disappointed.

Went on Friday the 13th last minute with friends. Wait wasn’t too bad for a walk in, couldn’t complain. Kirk did an awesome job, added in detail that wasn’t in the book. Very clean and professional. Overall 10/10 if your looking for friendly and talented staff!

Kirk gave me my first tattoo (the elephant logo from the Oregon Zoo) & it is amazing. I got exactly what I was wanting, where I wanted it (just above my ankle), & on a pain scale of (no pain)1-10(dying) I'd rate it a 3. The feeling was more irritating than painful. On the whole...I am very satisfied, & will probably be going back to have Kirk do more :)

Melissa was amazing. She captured the art style I was going for really well and she was so friendly and easy to talk to. The tattoo itself turned out amazing. I'm really impressed with the quality of her line art. Melissa has integrity as an artist. Went into Homage to get an existing tattoo touched up and had the pleasure of working with Kirk. Definitely a solid dude that comes from a solid background in tattooing, understands the culture, and most importantly understands the importance of customer relations/ experience. I didn’t plan on getting my work done at Homage, however after walking into the shop I immediately found what I was looking for in the form of a welcoming, well put together and professional shop. Homage surpassed the typical grungy tattoo/ piercing shop by a long shot, the cleanest shop I’ve been to and not just in a sterile way but aesthetically as well. Kirk did my tattoo and when I discussed my original thought for one, he was very honest about how it might not be the best idea as it may not age well over time which was informative AND appreciated. I went with another I had in mind and he was very helpful and patient as far as helping to get it to print and resized for transfer. It was my first tattoo ever. I looked at all the reviews and the pictures before going in for a consultation, just as you are probably doing right now. If you are having any second thoughts, don't. These guys are amazing. They know what they are doing and Kirk made me feel very comfortable and gave me really good advice as a first timer. I had created my own design for a tattoo and he communicated very clearly what changes had to be made so that my chinese character would still be legible 10 years from now. His revision of my design was beautiful and I love every inch of it. I highly recommend these professionals. Not only are they good at what they do but they are also very kind and not intimidating as I have experienced at other consultations with tattoo shops. If I get another tattoo I will definitely be coming back here!
