The communication, the design and ideas are hands down second to none. These are true artists. Pricing is fair but I NEVER leave without tipping my artist for an awesome job. I recommend this shop if it’s your first tat or your professional canvas.

I had a very complicated idea in my head for my tattoo, so I set the appointment in advance and paid a small deposit to secure my artist of choice. I did my research first from photographs online and in the books at the tattoo shop. I sent three photographs of things that were similar to what I wanted and asked for a very detailed drawing to be done. When I arrived for my appointment I anticipated that I would have to wait for him to draw my tattoo. But my artist Brian had already prepared for my arrival with a drawing already done and was waiting for my approval and any additional tweaking that I wanted to do. He fit the stencil to my arm perfectly & made a few slight changes to the drawing and we were ready to go. The whole process was by far my best experience at any tattoo shop, and I have been to several. He took an idea that was in my head and made a very beautiful piece of art that will be with me forever. His line work shows attention to detail & when I was unsure of a color pallet, he vocalized more than one option, & he was patient with me through the whole process. I have had other work done at Cleveland street by Pete and I get stopped by strangers almost every day and complimented on my tattoos. This is why I went back to Cleveland street for more work. My recommendation is that if you go to Cleveland Street tattoos: 1. Take your time picking your artist. They are all very talented. 2. Check out their previous work online and in books at the shop 3. Make an appointment 4. Remember you get what you pay for I wanted a beautiful tattoo & I got a show-stopping piece of art that will be with me forever.

Glo is the artist I see, (She has done 8 Tattoos on me so far!) and she is wonderful! Very gentle with Tattoo Machine, very friendly and funny!! I have a difficult time conveying what I want in a tattoo, but I walked in and looked through several portfolios and talked to an artist. He sketched something up for me to look at... I hated it, but we talked it over and Tony was very patient while we worked to get exactly what I wanted. He sketched it up, we sized the drawing and I went home with an appointment to get my new tattoo. The whole process was very good. I saw the needles come out of the package and the ink go into fresh and sterile holders. All the equipment that was reusable (the chair, the cord to the gun, the counter/trey supplies we're resting on) was wrapped in fresh plastic wrap. Anytime he had to touch my skin, Tony put on a fresh set of gloves. My tattoo is exactly what I wanted and I would/will go back next time I'm inspired.

Best Damn tattoo shop in Virginia multiple artists with each artists having their own set of talented well rounded skills. They have everything you could want or need extremely flexible with times and dates. If you are military and want to book an appt this is the place for you. Super friendly, patient and clean.
