Where do I start? There are so many good things to say about SLC Ink! The atmosphere is great, the staff is amazing and I clicked with my artist, Siri, right away. I could go on and on about how amazing Siri is. Her work is phenomenal, but I also felt like I walked away with a new friend after my appointment. I met 1 other person while I was there (Cam) and he was what I can only describe as a genuinely good person. Seriously though, if you're on the fence about SLC Ink, it's time to get off that fence and pay them a visit! You'll be glad you did.

Best tattoo shop I have ever been to, hands down. They not only have some of the most talented tattoo artists in Utah but the friendliest as well. No matter when I called or came in they were always very kind and genuine. The shop is definitely the best looking shop around town, you don't feel like your in a hospital room getting tattooed. The warm features of the shop really make you feel relaxed and excited to be getting tattooed. All together this place is fantastic and I will always go back to get tattooed here.

I came here to get some ink on my knuckles. I was a little sad when McKay called and said it wouldn't work but I waa happy he was honest about it. I ended up getting ink on my forearm and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Im actually glad I ended up having to move it. He was gentle, nice, very professional. I actually could've fallen asleep, didn't hurt. Can't wait till it heals as there is some gray and its gonna look awesome! Definitely want to get more ink done by McKay when I'm back in town.

They had a well-kept, professional atmosphere and awesome customer service, while still maintaining that tongue-in-cheek attitude one would expect from a bunch of inked-up punks;) Really, though, they were great at communicating with me beforehand via email & phone, then helping me find an artist (Dom) who totally got my vision of what I wanted done and did an EXCELLENT job. I had some questions on aftercare that I emailed in to them later that day at like 1 am, and I got a response within a few hours! Great shop. I am sure there are many talented artists here (mine included), but I would highly recommend getting your tattoo elsewhere due to the complete lack of professional and borderline abuse you will face from the owner if you have any kind of problems with your tattoo. Quite honestly, I'm fearful of even writing this review for fear that the owner of the shop will invade my privacy again, but I think it is important that prospective clients know what they may be up against in coming to this shop. I got my first tattoo here about six weeks ago after searching through several shops because my artist's portfolio was stunningly beautiful. The tattoo was very painful, as expected with an ankle tattoo, but since I had the tattoo I have experienced chronic pain in my foot and the tattoo has been taking forever to heal. Since it was my first tattoo, I was concerned about this and reached out to my tattoo artist to get her advice on what to do. I was dismayed by how defensive she got since I was already pretty anxious about getting the tattoo to begin with. Now that's when the real hell began. Within a week after I got my tattoo, I was receiving text messages and e-mails from individuals who said my contact information was being posted on Google reviews for this tattoo shop. Concerned, I went to check the reviews and there were a handful of negative reviews being posted about my tattoo artist about her cleanliness/sanitation. Now I never personally witnessed her being unsanitary, but reading these freaked me out, so I messaged her about it to see what was up. At that time, she accused me of writing the reviews myself, which made no sense because I only knew about the reviews because I was getting e-mails and texts from people about them. But the worst part was the OWNER of the shop was posting my full name, telephone number, e-mail address AND a picture of my driver's license in response to each of these negative reviews. It got so bad, the owner linked to my Facebook and Instagram and started calling me profane, derogatory names. I e-mailed and called the shop for weeks, insisting that I didn't write these negative reviews and practically begging that they take down my contact information, to which the owner proceeded to gaslight me the entire time pretending like it wasn't happening, because he was practically obsessed with the notion that I was writing them (apparently no one else could possibly have beef with my tattoo artist and be writing these reviews). I eventually had to consult with a lawyer and threaten to pursue a lawsuit to get them to take my contact information down, which they FINALLY did (which is why you won't see it in the reviews below - even though they're STILL making references to me in these reviews - unbelievable.) It's not over though - because now my phone number is being posted all over KSL ads and I'm receiving text messages and calls all day long thanks to the owner posting my contact information on the internet (and who knows, it might even be him doing it). I'm not sure in what world it is appropriate or even legal for the owner of a licensed business to post a client's personal contact information and driver's license on the internet, and then proceed to stalk their Facebook and Instagram and insult them publicly. I am utterly appalled by the lack of professionalism and abuse I've experienced by this tattoo shop. That being said, I am deeply grateful for one of the tattoo artists, Laura, and the receptionist (I believe), Cam, for comforting me and showing me compassion when I came into the shop last week literally crying my eyes out after how much harassment and torment I was receiving over the last several weeks and begging them to help me make it stop. My tattoo artist also expressed compassion and apologies for the way I was treated which I really appreciated. However, between the chronic foot pain I've developed and the false accusations and abuse I've faced from this shop, this experience made the prospect of getting another tattoo quite literally traumatic. Thank you, SLC ink.

He had the best designs I’ve ever seen and I would love to get tattooed by him again. Not only was the artist amazing but as soon as you walk into that tattoo shop it has such a welcoming vibe and I will definitely be coming back.

If you need a tattoo, look no further. This place, and everyone that works inside of it is a grade-A bad ass, USDA approved. They sling the sickest ink, and they have the sickest talent this side of the Mason Dixon line. You might think they're pricey, but it's worth it, and we all know what mama says about getting what you pay for! This place is so clean that the last time I went I had to take off my containment suit to get inked. The staff here is always a blast to talk to, and so friendly that you will think you're addicted to tattoos, but you're really just addicted to their personalities. I have been coming here for over 12 months, and Jake takes care of me every time like a straight up G. I don't think I can get a tattoo at another establishment. This review is 100% serious, I just don't feel everything should be so serious all the time. Inquire at the front desk about their printer ownership program! I will preface my review with this is a very very post dated review and I'm sure they have different staff now. That being said, I got tattooed by Harley here some years ago and brought multiple friends in after and every experience was wonderful up until my last. I scheduled an appointment (again with harley) with the receptionist and put down my deposit. Well it ended up that they had double booked that time, so they gave the other guy they schedule my appointment and basically stole my $60 deposit, which wasn't awesome. That experience left a bad enough taste in my mouth that I will not use this studio for future reference. It was extremely unprofessional how that was handled and that their mistake cost me.

$150 for 10 min session. Good quality tattoo but sorry i wont be back for something this small. It took the artist a week to draw an outline when i was told it would be an easy walk-in visit over the phone. Plenty of other options for smaller tattoos. I also got a nasty message from the owner about this review. I think they might have some kind of mental issue if they're going to insult a person that wrote an honest review. There are plenty of other great tattoo artists throughout the valley that would love your business. View the owners responses to the low star reviews on google. How professional. If I could give you 0 stars i would. They keep trying to get me to tell them who I am so they can exploit me like the other customers that left bad reviews. Sharing their customers confidential information on ksl due to a bad review. Suck it up guys you can't be perfect.

I am writing this review for a friend because I don't want her to face the harassment that this business is well known for giving its paying customers who had negative experiences here. At least one of the artists who works here uses what we suspect to be watered down ink. My friend got a tattoo here about 4 months ago and it faded to the point where you could barely see it. That's no problem, I told my friend that can happen and she should get it touched up and the artist offered free touch ups. After about 2 months of trying to contact the artist and the business about getting a touch up, even offering to PAY for the touch up, they refused to respond and basically ghosted us. This forced us to go to a different, better shop to get it touched up. I would have given the business 2 stars because I can see that they do have some talented artists there, but then I looked at how the owner of this business responds to people who had negative experiences and was truly disgusted. I have never seen a business owner act more unprofessional, petty, and creepy to their own customers. Do not go here. The people who run this shop are bad people and will take advantage of you if you are unlucky. Go and read how they have responded to anyone who had a bad experience.

From the moment we walked in the entire staff were very nice! Cam actually walked me to get food because I had not eaten and wanted to make sure I had food as it would help with the pain. I went to SLC Ink to get a chest piece done that was going to take around 4 sessions I scheduled 2 months in advanced. When I showed up my artist was late and we didn't get started till an hour and a half after my appointment. Line work was amazing and I am super happy with the way it turned out after the first session. I had a family emergency come up making it so I couldn't go to met next session so I gave them a call (1 week before my next appointment) and said I wasn't going to be able to make it. I was told that they weren't able to find my appointment and they said they would figure it out and call me back. That was 4 months ago. When I called again to just get my deposit back ($100) they said they wouldn't be able to refund it because I never finished my sessions. Overall, the tattoo is amazing. The experience however was terrible.

Walked in wanting my daughters name on my arm. They spent as much time as I wanted finding the font I liked. Showed up this morning and Laura took the time to explain everything to me being it is my first tattoo. The entire staff are incredibly professional with every detail. I was ignored by her. The other lady answered and offered to schedule an appointment the next day. Lesson schedule a consultation with a rude hypocrite instead of doing walk-ins.

I went in with an idea of what I wanted for my tattoo and I had it almost pictured in my head. Harley worked on my design and when it was presented to me it was different than the image I had pictured in my head but that is not a bad thing because it was even better than I imagined. The tattoo didn't take super long. I am super happy with the overall quality of the service here and would definitely recommend it to friends and colleagues and I would definitely be back. Harley killed it. He is an amazing artist.

Completely disrespectful if you have any kind of bad experience, and have been feeling extorted by them for 2 years now to take down review on yelp.. I will let the photos of what they do speak for themselves, information you give them in confidence will not be kept in confidence. Also have a sly suspension it's them that keep posting all these fake ads on ksl for both Amy and Melissa under there phone number. Nobody in this shop is capable of doing anything really nice..i had an artist there, Ally, give me a really crooked, shaky tattoo. She told me the line work would be straight after it healed, it didn't , tattoo looks like garbage, regret..find another shop with more experience, apprecntace central over here...

I got a 1/4 sleeve done by Lilly, and it turned out very well! She was really helpful in the consultation as well, suggesting tweaks to the design outside of what I had considered! I really appreciated her attention to detail and clear interest in this tattoo from design to execution! Highly highly recommend people give Lilly's work a look! ... Unfortunately, there were a couple of downsides with the shop. My first appointment was cancelled without my knowledge (allegedly due to a system error.) 2 days before my rescheduled appointment, I was told the original artist was no longer available and I had to reschedule a second time with a new consultation. Having to reschedule twice was really annoying and inconvenient, but I am thrilled with the result of Lilly's work! Would definitely go back!

I got a tattoo from Hans in August. He's AMAZING with his colors. Very unique style, he likes to make the art his own. If you just want a replica of someone else's tattoo, maybe choose a different artist. I came back the next day to have another quick tattoo. Hans ended up being available. It was the word "Brat" that he tattooed on me in his own handwriting (also extremely unique).

I wish I had never stepped foot in this shop. They will harass you and do anything they can to prevent negative reviews. About a year and half ago I came to this business to get my first tattoo. Long story short, I jumped through all of their hoops and made an appointment and that appointment wasn’t honored. I left feeling upset and posted a negative review on yelp about my experience. Afterwords I began getting messages, requests and comments from the business, which I ignored because I didn’t really see the point in talking to them, I already had my tattoo done somewhere else and the whole matter was over. Boy was I wrong. A year after I got my tattoo the business owner commented on my review and included my full name, personal email and phone number and address. I told them that putting that information wasn’t professional and I would not be pressured to take down my review. They edited their comment and I thougt the whole mess was over..again. This week I received an email saying that the business owner commented on my review again and, once again included my personal information. I told them again I would not be pressured to take down my review. Then I started getting calls and texts for phoney KSL ads that had my number listed which were posted by what I can only assume is the business owner. The business owner also went out of their way to put my personal info on all of the negative reviews on google reviews. Don’t get your tattoo here. If you have a bad experience and are vocal about it they will harass you, invade your privacy and make you feel unsafe. Please be careful and consider this businesses approach to professionalism and privacy.
