When I went into the shop for my consult with Kira I had a tattoo theme in mind with a few random ideas of what exactly I wanted it to have but didn’t know how to put them together. Kira went above and beyond and did some research of her own for more ideas related to the specific theme I wanted. I gave her the freedom of incorporating more into the tattoo if she wanted and putting it together how she thought was best—she ended up creating a masterpiece! I love my tattoo and I am obsessed with it! I am so glad I found and went to Kira. She is amazingly talented and she will come up with the perfect tattoo for you. She is a badass!

Chado had done amazing work for me and my husband today. Mine is a purple butterfly with my mother's signature. The purple butterfly is a symbol for those who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which is something that I was diagnosed with shortly after losing my mother to liver failure. My husband got a water color wolf with the purple ribbon which is also for fibromyalgia. The attention to detail is remarkable and very unique. Chado took time to make it perfect and exceeding expectations for what each of us has envisioned. Both of us are truly happy with these beautiful pieces. My husband has been asked several times who done it and where to go. I would absolutely come see Chado and experience his exceptional work. Highly recommended.

If I could give them a negative star, I would. The artist would not do the agreed upon tattoo, and made us feel like doing small simple tattoos were beneath him. We had submitted photos 2 weeks prior and were NEVER told that we could not do initials. (Dude, it's my tattoo, on my body, your opinion is not valid.) After being quoted a RIDICULOUS minimum fee (to not get the tattoo we REALLY wanted), we left, took our business elsewhere. Don't waste your time or money here.

Beyond impressed with Kira. I just had my first session with her for my thigh. This is my tenth tattoo and by far the least painful and cleanest line work I have. From the first impression Kira exudes confidence and professionalism at the shop. She worked quickly and efficiently to complete my thigh and I honestly just had a lot of fun with her! Just got a tattoo with Kira and I am very happy with the work and the session. She had something drawn up for me. I told her exactly what I wanted and she made the changes. She made sure to put two different sizes of the piece I got on my shoulder. I liked this because I could see visually how both would look. I do recommend booking asap. It does take longer to get it. 7 months plus. Worth it if u want good quality work. I booked my touch up on a different tattoo at the current session because it is longer booking. I have had a lot of people close to me pass away in the last year, the most recent being my brother Smokey. Daxton reached out to me and offered to do a portrait of Smokey, I accepted his offer and placed him over my heart. It means the world to me that I now get to see his portrait every morning when I get ready for work and every night when I come home and shower. Just a few days ago I went back and got a portrait of my dad (who has also recently passed away) Daxton's work is amazing and having him reach out to me when I was in such a dark place means so much. I am forever grateful for all he has done for me. I still have a few more pieces to get but soon everyone who has held an important spot in my life will have a place on my body. If you are wanting work done Daxton is the Savage to go to. His work is amazing. He really takes time and makes it perfect! He will go out of his way to make sure it is everything you want! His staff is respectful and personable. They all work together to make sure your experience is one you wont forget.

I got my first tattoo here. On paper it was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. It took two sessions (technically 3. I had a better artist at another shop finish it.) It was estimated to only be one all day session. Wasn't. And it ended up being three times the price he had given me. The first session wasn't bad. It was just the outline which took four hours. And I got this on my arm, and I'm small so it shouldn't have taken so long. Only because every like 20-30 minutes my artist would leave to take a smoke break. For 30 minutes. Which I clearly was charged for. Second session. Was the shading and a tiny bit of color. Which then again took a little over four hours. Same deal with the smoke breaks. And he scarred my arm pretty badly. From over working it. He also seemed to not care so much about my piece. Like he just wanted it done and over with. And you could tell in the line and shading work. Yes there are some tattoos that are absolutely amazing that come from this shop. But my friend in the tattoo world has told me she has done more cover ups for them then she can count. All the artists at her shop do.

They didn’t listen to what I actually wanted, they had an idea but when I said what I wanted and my idea he changed the style and now my tattoo is not how I envisioned or mentioned. Now for my experience at Savage tattoo! The consultation was amazing. I gave him all my ideas and picture of how I want it to come together and he had the exact idea as mine and when he had an idea on what would make it better I trusted his lead and it made the finished product phenomenal, work of art! I sat for 9 hours and it’s was the best experience ever! Also the longest I have set to date. I will not go to anyone else other then @arsphox_tattoo at Savage Tattoo! Went in last night for a memorial tattoo. I lost my cousin, who I was extremely close to, suddenly last month. I gave Tyson my ideas and let him draw me up a design. It surpassed my expectations! His artwork was sweet, but his tattoo was even better! I've had several tattoos... One of my mother... This tattoo made me cry. The colors are flawless and design perfectly fit my arm. He isn't heavy handed, but the color he packed into my piece are impressive. He took his time to give me a perfect piece. If you are looking for a great atmosphere go to Savage and ask for Tyson!

I recently went into Savage Tattoo to have an existing tattoo redone. It was 20 years old and faded badly. I was fortunate enough to have Levi as my tattoo artist. This young man impressed me incredibly on many fronts. He is one of the more likable people I have met in my life. He exudes love for his artwork and a passion for his ability to make others happy.. He is also extremely self aware and he displayed a true sense of self worth and determination. My new tattoo is incredible. It is far Superior to the original, and a true testament to Levi's abilities. I recommend Levi to anyone that is contemplating a new tattoo. The experience will be top notch, that I assure you. My friend won a gift card for their holiday giveaway and has been told she is not allowed to get a smaller tattoo with the credit. She was very uneasy about her consultation because the artist would not listen to what she wanted and basically made his own plan and work for her. She messaged the shop on Instagram to let them know she wasn’t wanting what they had planned and the response was very rude so she reached out to the Dax the owner and he left her a voicemail which was even worse and called her a liar. Do not go here if you’re wanting to deal with reasonable and nice people. The owner is terrible. He continued to do a live video CALLING her out. Dax is terrible and is a terrible business owner.

(Recent Update) Paid 100 deposit to artists Tyson. Stopped replying to me and stopped in a few time to meet up with him, but he was never in! To this day I've yet to get a reply on the art plan or receive the deposit back. Updating to 2 star - really liked my previous encounters with this place until this event. Would be willing to increase back to a 4 star if I was reimbursed.

All of the people here are excellent. It doesn't matter what you have in mind weather its extremely difficult and intricate or very simple. One of the many artists here will be able to make whatever you want happen. For me I would say if you want something go to Kira Teeter. She has the best work I have every seen and will give you her one hundred percent attention. I've known her for many and seen her work from the first day shw started up to this present day. I promise anyone who bbn reads this if you go to Kira you will not be disappointed in the slightest. If she isn't the one who works for you there is a variety of artists who specialize in certain types of tattooing which may fit what you want.

I had a really good experience here with Chados. This was my first time getting tattooed and I have to say if you're a first timer go to Chados!! He is extremely patient and understanding while also being upfront and honest with you. This tattoo meant a lot to me because it is for my Grandma who recently died of cancer. I was really close with my Grandma and her passing has been really hard on me. Getting this tattoo for me was a way to help heal. Even though my tattoo wasn't anything super fun and exciting with a whole bunch of detail, I still felt like Chados took the time to make it perfect for me and I really appreciate that! This shop has been really good to go to, they are super clean and everyone there is really friendly. They don't just tattoo you and send you on your way they are also really helpful when it comes to the after care, they ask you to go back so that they can check and make sure everything is healing good and to re-bandage it. I've had a really good experience here and will definitely be going back for any future tattoos!

I heard about Savage from a friend who is a tattoo artist. She said Savage is the only place in Utah she would go. My artist was Levi. At my consultation he was excited about my piece. When I got to my appointment we were going over my design and found some issues. Instead of forcing the piece we came up with a totally different design and applied it as a cover up. At no point was I uncomfortable with Levi. I asked for his professional opinion and he wasn’t shy about telling me that he could do my piece but it probably wasn’t what I wanted simply because of the placement. He worked with me for 3 hours until we had a design I was excited about getting and he was excited about doing. Don’t go to Levi because he will be too booked for when I want to continue my sleeve. But seriously I would recommend Levi to anyone. His art is amazing.

I loved my experience there at savage tattoo! Kira was my artist and I had my dragonfly with the flower of life as a resemblance of my daughter that passed and my journey through life and all the hardships I’ve overcome. Customer service is also exceedingly great; they offer sugary drinks and water if you need at and they checked in with me regularly to make sure I was comfortable and feeling okay. It was not my first tattoo, but my best experience getting a tattoo by far.

I did leave a good review at first, because the way it came out the first day looked amazing, on a side note I have four other tattoos and I aware on how to take care of them. But i have my wrap off now and i realize everything that came out bad.. unfortunately half my tattoo faded already, the scales on my snake are uneven some pointy and some round and faded, the outline of the snake isn't very clean, a lot of the lines are shaky, on the belly scales the lines are to close together and then to far apart from each other when they are supposed to be even, my tattoo looks rushed and it shows. The shading didn't blend very well, I can't look at my arm without crying honestly. I love Levi as a person, he is very kind and wanted to do what I wanted. So much has happened with my appointment and he wanted to make me happy but the quality isn't there with the price sadly. I know you guys are passionate about your work, i know this tattoo could have been better in a different situation. I can replace money but I can't replace my arm. Im sad that i have to write this review in a different way and I only am because I hope you guys learn from this experience. Please stop over booking people, the stress will show in your work, you have the potential to do amazing work, I've seen it on your ig, but unfortunately not on my skin. Thank you for everything else you did, i appreciate that. I'm sorry this had to happen. I really am.

So this was my first ever tattoo and I must say it was overwhelming experience. It took me more than a year to decide if I really wanted and now the time felt right to finally get it done. One of the biggest reasons why I chose Savage is the professionalism they portrayed. Right from setting up the appointment for a consultation, follow ups & finally getting the tattoo done, everything was handled like a professional business should. My artist Chris is one of the best out there and now I know exactly why. Amazing skills with the needle & also has pretty good knowledge of what suits different skin types. If I’m ever getting a tattoo again, it will be with Chris & Savage. No second thoughts about that.

This is the ONLY PLACE I have gave a 1 star review. I seriously question how many of these reviews are legit.This shop is dishonest and does not follow up on what they say they will do. We paid for a tattoo and was promised a touchup. Also paid in cash. I wonder how much of that was reported? When the time came no touchup after months of trying and being neglected and ignored and attitude from the receptionist and no response from the owner I am done. They have lost all respect in any opportunity to salvage any of this due to the fact they have completely lost all credibility. If you say you are going to do something you should simply do it. There is no excuse. There is a better shop down the street and much better shops out there for the price. I would highly advise if you are looking for a honest artist to look elsewhere. I’m sure that the receptionist will write some smart response instead of trying to make things right but at this point elementary behavior is expected from this establishment. The unprofessionalism is incredible. Again this is after they have you locked in. Don’t make the same mistake that we did and make sure that you are taken care of. I would give this establishment a zero if I could. Yes expect a negative response from either the owner or the receptionist. Notice they will not respond back with doing the right and taking responsibility but instead they will try and discredit you which clearly shows the nature of this establishment. Seriously disappointed.

I had Chado finish the color on a tattoo that was already outlined. He did an outstanding job! I decided to make the journey all the way up to Ogden one Friday afternoon after hearing the raving reviews. I made a consultation appointment and the professionalism and welcoming attitude from Brandon was phenomenal. It was like talking to an old friend. He set me up with an artist he felt would work best for what I was looking for. After driving for an hour to get up there, I was told that my artist unexpectedly went home sick that afternoon. Instead of immediately turning me away, Tyson stepped up to the job. I was so grateful that he was willing to take on my tattoo after the other artist went home. He made sure my time was not wasted one bit. We made the appointment and I came back two weeks later to get my tattoo. Tyson is extremely talented, fun to work with and he will do anything to make sure you're happy and getting exactly what you want, even if it means starting from scratch on something completely custom. I'm very happy with my tattoo and how well I was taken care of. I highly recommend Savage for anyone looking for a great tattoo experience!

He showed up late, never did the desgin work, didnt do watercolors, didnt outline in black like I'd asked, tried to get me to have sex with him amd rushed the job so he could leave to get high with his buddies that showed up. Also found out i was lied to and he was actually an apprentice at the time which i did not want. I didnt go back for my touchups or to get it fixed. Dissapointing since he had a lot of beautiful work and this was a custom tattoo.

When I turned 18 and wanted my first tatoo I came to James Savage. The first thing I noticed about his shop is it was dingy and very dirty. Looked like the floors hadn't been taken care of in months and they had falling apart furniture in the main area. I scheduled an appointment and everything went well. After he was done I could clearly see spots he hadn't finished and parts he had messed up on. When I asked him about it he said he'd do some free touch up to fix it. So I scheduled an appointment for that. Now when I came back for my appointment he had booked someone else for the day and wouldn't do my scheduled tatoo. When I tried to reschedule he then said that he would not do any free touch up or book me another appointment. At that point I gave up, went elsewhere a d they offered to fix his work for free because James had screwed it up so badly. If you value honesty, integrity and getting what you paid for stay away from James Savage and his shop.

It had been a long time since I had gotten a tattoo. I had tattoo experiences that were absolutely terrible. I have dealt with artists who cared more about taking smoke breaks than actually working on the piece I was paying for. The constant breaks and lack of expertise has left me with some regretful tattoos. Got a half sleeve done by Austin Casanova. What an amazing experience. Professional, clean, entertaining, just an all around amazing artist. Made my tattoo go by quickly and his attention to detail impeccable. I highly recommended Austin for anyone wanting work done.

I seriously wanted a simple outline tattoo and they text me and said they don’t have an “outline” specialist. Which is bs because if they can’t outline something then how can they do tattoos at all. It was just an excuse to not to a cheap tattoo. They only want big clients and don’t care that this tattoo actually meant the world to me. I went somewhere else, thank God, because I can’t imagine getting a tattoo here where they don’t value their guests.

They've got one good artist and that it isn't the owner. The work is shoddy-- wavy lines, inconsistent color fields, stuff that should be symmetrical is not... They talk a lot about "you get what you pay for", and offering mentorships (like Trump University but for tattooing!)... But honestly, there are tons of excellent artists and shops in Utah. Save yourself the trouble and pay someone that can be professional in both customer service and product quality.

I have been watching savage tattoo for 2 years. Observing their work and seeing that they are truly the best in their field. My artist was Levi. He saw what I wanted for my tattoo and helped me to puzzle something together. We fiddled and fixed until it was how we wanted. He continually made sure that I was happy with this tattoo because it is something that will be on me for the rest of my life. I am beyond thrilled with how far we got for our first session and I immediately made an appointment for the second because I can’t wait to see where it will go from here. I went and got a tattoo that means so much to me I went to another shop but I didn’t feel comfortable there, I meet Chado when he was staying at the motel my mother works at, we talked briefly there about it, about a week or so later I went and booked my appointment, I should mention that the design for the tattoo my best friend has done for me and I wanted something very similar or exactly to that art and he did it 1000 times better than I ever imagined it to be and I honestly can’t imagine imagine anything different.
