Very great place to get a tattoo. They're straightforward and don't jerk you around. What I like the most is that they can get a lot done in the amount of time you have scheduled, I was able to get two pieces of artwork done in a 5 hour session. They do very fine work, and I like their willingness to work with you regardless of what kind of art piece you want to get done. I also like the environment, it's great to be surrounded by people who are passionate about tattoos.

Tipped well out of principle, not because I felt the artist deserved it. Both of the employees in the shop were terse, rude, passive aggressive and acted like they didn’t care. I was so excited to go there after hearing such good reviews and SO disappointed as I left. Would not recommend Remedy if you want a real artist to consult with for design. You’ll end up with someone that prints a picture and mimics the work of others with a light tracer. I watched Big Eyes, maybe they should....

Dani did my rib piece, she has such a gentle hand but still makes the art bold and vibrant, even in black and white! She could literally do anything well. 10/10 would be obsessed with Dani forever.

my sister and I made appointments to get sister tattoos before Thanksgiving. we were saddled with McCoy, and right off the bat our experience was not great. we showed up for our appointment at 2 and when we showed up we were informed our appointments wouldn't be for about an hour. fine. then our artist brings up stencils, and basically told us, "this is what I came up with, so this is what you're getting" my sister went first, her tattoo took about 35-40 minutes-during which the artist argued with her about whether or not words could be done in color. She was given a nu-skin cover to heal her tattoo, was told to take it off after 3 days and put lotion on it. my tattoo took a total of 8 minutes from set up to finish. my arm was wrapped with wrinkled saran wrap and we were essentially ushered out of the shop. the lines on my tattoo are blown out, uneven, and he was so rough that my entire bicep was bruised, not only in the place of the tattoo, but on the entire arm. basically, if he touched my arm, it bruised. this was my 11th tattoo, and I've never seen or felt what I did in this shop. I am so disappointed in my entire experience. it's been over 3 weeks and my tattoo hasn't healed entirely, and it's really scarred in places already and is in dire need of a touchup-one that I will not be returning to McCoy to recieve. after all the amazing reviews I'd seen on this shop and their artists, and the treatment my sister and I recieved, I found myself incredibly bruised, sore, and disappointed. i will not be recommending this shop to anyone. In reply to the owners response: You don't have to assume responsibility for anything. McCoy is the artist that did my terrible tattoo and caused an awful experience. Just letting people know so they can avoid the same thing.

I went to Burrell for a cute little piece he had already drawn up. He was very friendly and super upbeat. Just a great energy to be around. Update: Since my intial review, I’ve gotten tattooed by Burdell, ArJay and Kyle as well. I’d recommend them and my main artist, Macoy, to anyone! I couldn’t be happier with the work I’ve gotten done here and the amazing people who do it. Still 5/5. Original review: I have SO much love for this shop, for Macoys work and everyone else at this shop! So much of it that I broke this review into parts. Artists: Macoy is the artist I go and see here, but I’ve booked with Burdell and am looking forward to getting work done by him as well! To be honest though, you can’t go wrong with anyone you book with here. Take one look at the art on any of the walls and you’ll know you’re in a shop with some of the most talented artists in Utah. It doesn’t matter what style of tattoos you like, you’ll find someone you’ll like at this shop guaranteed. I’ve been so blown away by how incredibly clean and precise Macoys work has been that I keep coming back to him and have had him do many, many tattoos on me. I think it says a lot about an artist when you follow them when they move shops and refer your friends over to them because you trust them and the quality of their work so much. I’ve had several tattoos done before I met Macoy and I’m truly ecstatic to have found an artist I really feel listens to me, does amazing work and busts his butt to make sure I’m happy with the work I’m getting. Macoy also has an incredibly light hand, so much so that I’ve never had any issues with bruising in areas that would normally bruise or scabbing, everything always heals effortlessly when he does it. In regard to the other artists I’ve interacted with here, everyone is extremely friendly no matter what artist you converse with! You’re not going to find anyone at this shop who isn’t a kind and caring person and from everything I’ve seen, everyone here is dedicated to being the best artists they can be and making sure everyone leaves happy with their work. The shop: When you walk in, you’re always greeted so friendly by whomever is behind the front desk area that day. The owners are both an absolute pleasure and I’m so happy to be able to have a conversation with them while I wait, you’re truly treated with kindness here. I’ve never dropped by and been left not talked to for more than a minute and to find such a welcoming environment right off the bat for a tattoo shop is incredible. The shop itself is clean, well lit and open. Every time I’ve dropped by to get work done, the floors are clean, everything is organized and you can see how sanitary everyone is. They really take cleanliness seriously here and you can tell the second you walk in. I’ve been tattooed at several shops and this is one of the most welcoming and clean that I’ve seen. All in all, my favorite shop in Utah period and I’ve been to several. So bummed I can only give this place five stars because I’d give them a billion!

What a fantastic tattoo shop. Absolutely one of the best ones I’ve been to in Salt Lake County. It is clean, bright, and has a great atmosphere amongst all the employees. The apprentices Sam and Arjay are so personable, they always greet you and are happy to help you out. Burdell has done many tattoos on both my arms and legs now, and I can’t say enough about him. He does solid work for a fair price. He is genuine and easy to work with concerning appointments. Definitely get tattooed by him if you are looking for a new twist on trad. Overall a fantastic shop that I’ll continue to go to for a long time.

As they went they explained everything they were doing so my daughter, who has Autism, felt less anxious and was able to enjoy her first tattoo ‐ on her 18th birthday. This was my first experience being tattooed at remedy. Many people who have experienced tattoo culture in shops know how nerve racking it can be going to a new shop, not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of kindness, compassion and professionalism not only demonstrated by my tattoo artist but by the entire office staff. The atmosphere is comfortable, making it a safe place to relax and be yourself. I was tattooed by Duke, who I must say was over the top professional and went 100% out of his way to make sure I was pleased with my design and tattoo. Before my tattoo there were even some last minute design changes, and rather than make me feel bad about it, Duke embraced the change and did not make me feel my idea was insignificant. Not only is Duke a fabulous artist, but the other artists are just as fabulous. It was truly a breath of fresh air to be tattooed by such a humble man, and based off the interactions of the other patrons I would say they are definitely receiving the same hospitality as I have. My only regret is not coming to Remedy to be tattooed sooner! Thank you so much Duke, and Remedy Tattoo for making my ideas a beautiful work of art. Your artists display such amazing talent all while remaining humble and kind. Love this place. 20/10- would recommend to EVERYBODY!!

I went in for my first tattoo with Burdell and it was the biggest mistake of my life. When I got it I noticed the straight lines were crooked. When I asked why I was told that's just how it is until it heals. I got each planet on my forearm and the rings around Saturn are completely uneven and not the same size. I was told to let it heal and I probably wouldn't need touch ups but if I did just call. I called to get an appointment for touch ups the artist supposedly wasn't there every day. I went in completely polite asking if anything could be done to fix it. I got told in a very rude way by another artist it's not his responsibility and I shouldn't expect all tattoos to be straight. It's absolutely horrible and I'm stuck with it forever. I even gave him a big tip. Please save your money and go to Big Deluxe Tattoo right down the road they are going to help me fix it. In reply to the owner, Unfortunately Burdell did my tattoo and I am very displeased with it. I am just trying to warn others. Fortunately the owner of SLC Ink fixed it up and did an amazing job with it! I would highly recommend that place.

Seriously the best tattoo shop in slc Utah hands down! Right when you walk into the shop you will notice how clean and chill the vibe is. I love how open and bright the building is. Most tattoo shops I've been in it's pretty dark with screaming music blasting and it just give me anxiety. I'm already getting a tattoo and let's be honest it's not always the most pleasant feeling, but when the atmosphere is just chill, laid back, and bright it makes the tattoo experience a lot more enjoyable. Lance is my tattoo artist and he is seriously amazing! I tell him what I want and he and nails it every time. I love that he consults with me and makes sure it's exactly what I want before he begins. He actually listens to what I want rather than doing what he wants. If your looking for some fresh ink hit up remedy tattoo parlor you won't be disappointed!

Remedy tattoo was a choice made simply by looking at the reviews you are looking at right now! I was treated with respect and immediately felt comfortable. I spent eight hours with Burd and was consistently made to feel like I was what was important. Everything that was used on me was taken out of packages in front of me. In other words ,"sterile". I had a great experience with Remedy Tattoo Parlor. My tattoo artist, Lance, was very skilled, informative and careful. The whole staff there was friendly and made me feel welcome and at ease. The building was clean and open with great lighting. All in all great experience!

Went back to Remedy Tattoo Parlor get a part added on to my first tattoo and get my daughters done. The people there are super nice. Trevor did an awesome job making sure we were happy with our tats before leaving! He did an amazing job!!! We’ll be back for more I’m sure!

Went here for an estimate on a cover up. McCoy gave me an outrageous quote of 300 to 600 on a single sitting covering a four and a half inch by a half inch piece with a simple rose and lace background to cover what I had. Soonest appointment would have been a month out. Joke all the way around, glad I took my business elsewhere.
