Body and Soul is amazing for tattoos and piercings. I had my tongue ring done and it took a minute if that. The longest part was filling out the paperwork. I had my first tattoo done on the ribs there and it turned out phenomenal, the artist was light handed too. Helped with the pain, they are all so helpful and nice as well.

We just took our 7 year old to get her ears pierced here. The staff was amazing. This was a way better experience than our other daughter had when she got her ears pierced at Claire's. I would recommend this place for getting your child's ears pierced over Claire's any day!

walk in to see what the apprentice could do and she was honest and said she wasn't comfortable with what I wanted to do but she did say let me draw it up and I'll send you some pics of what I came up with. so I agreed we also set up an appointment for 1 week later in Saturday. during that week I haven't received any pics or messages of what to expect or even if she will end up doing it or not. so I did the same I never showed for my appointment and I also never got a call for that one either. I'm not a big fan of people not doing what they say they will do. I am looking to start two sleeves and my business will be taken else where just off this experience back to the hunt for a good honest shop.

I got my rook and a dermal above my navel done on the same day back in January. They both look awesome and have healed great. The dermal itself looks crooked in the picture, but that's just the angle. Will come again for another piercing.

I took my 5 year old daughter to get her ears pierced and thought they did an amazing job. We had taken her to Claire's a couple years ago and had them pierced but they fell out and so we waited a couple years to get them repierced and I much preferred this experience. The people at Body and Soul were so knowledgeable and they did both ears at the same time which was so much easier on her. They were really sweet with my daughter and after carefully double checking to make sure they cleaned and marked her ears just right they pierced her ears so quickly she didn't even have time to cry. I highly recommend this place!!

Overall, I enjoyed going here. It's better than some other tattoo shops I've seen in my time. The people are nice and don't come off as "clicky," they care about the customer for the most part (as far as I could tell), and they keep a very clean shop. As far as the art goes, I'd say Melissa is the best artist there, but they're all different. There's a kid who works there (I forgot his name) who is actually pretty damn good. I'd give him a shot, and maybe start with something small to try him out. I did see him doing some pretty awesome stuff while I was there. Overall though, Melissa is definitely the most experienced. If you're looking for an artist who could give you the best tattoo in Utah Valley, go to her. Justin is also talented, meaning the ink itself (for the most part) will come out 'good.' It'll look professionally done. However, I think he tends to rush things a bit. I have a tattoo from him as well, and although it's not bad by any means, there are certainly imperfections both in the art and the placement of the tattoo that tend to bother me. I think he needs to think about placement a little more, and be able to coach a customer and say "trust me, I know you're stoked about it now because getting tattooed is fun and exciting, but this will bug you in the future as you go about your every day life.." and maybe take it in a different direction or don't do it at all. Customers are stupid. They always will be. That's why we go to artists, who should be able to take an idea, create a piece of art, and make sure it finds the best location on the body. My advise - If you're the type that likes to come up with a general idea, and have an artist kinda do it all for you (like me), and you want to put all trust into that person.. either go to Melissa or I'd head up to Salt Lake. I hate to say that, but it is what it is.. if you truly want to be happy with your tat(s) forever, take your time and really think about it. Looking back, I'd rather pay thousands more, be on a loooooong waiting list, and get something amazing done by the best in SLC. You get what you pay for. I like a lot of aspects of my tattoo, and it is well done. But for aesthetic purposes.. I plan on seeking some minor cover up work just so I can live with it forever. Good luck to everyone!
