Disliked my experience. I didn't feel like I was a valued client. I did a 4 hr session. During that time Storm broke away from my time to conduct other types of business, answered the phones, showed jewelry, set up future appointments and even did a piercing. Although he did make up the time it was the inconvenience that really bothered me. So I spend my money elsewhere.

I love this place! Storm is awesome and has really great people that he has working at his shop! I've had them do both piercings and tattoos on myself and a couple of my family members. Both Storm and his staff are very clean and professional and they do everything they can to make sure you're happy with the results. This is the only place I'll go for tats and piercings!

The experience was great I had my tattoo done by Steve, made me laugh and did everything possible to not have me think about the pain (still hurt) but over all customer service was amazing if I decide to get a second tattoo definitely going back to Art On You!!!

UPDATE ON MY INITIAL REVIEW* My husband and I went for simple tiny tattoos on our wedding fingers. Storm Anderson did both our tattoos. He is very friendly and welcoming. The facility was very clean and designed great! The lines on both our fingers look very blurry in places and fine in others. Though we took excellent care of our tattoos, we both have some red scar tissue within our tattoos. With that said, Storm did advise us that tattoos on fingers sometimes require a bit of touch-up. Since I wrote this review, Storm has been in touch with me to let me know he charges as he does because he is certain that the tattoos will require a touch-up, which he will honor no questions asked. So the $180.00 I paid ($90. each) includes a touch-up. Thank you very much Storm for reaching out to me, it says A LOT of your integrity and professionalism!! I apologize for hurting you in my initial review.

My artist Alex Weaver made me feel very comfortable and reassured me that everything was going to be just fine.. Three tattoos later, I adore everyone in that shop. The owner's Storm and Renee Anderson make sure that all the clients are taken care of and comfortable, the artist's make sure that before they lay the transfer on your skin, it is want you want, does it look like what you wanted, and are you comfortable with placement. I will not go anywhere else to get my tattoos. Sorry Art on You. you're stuck with me.

The studio is a bit out of the way, but the Halloween theme is fun, and the whole staff is friendly, laid-back and welcoming. (And from what I've seen of their work, really impressive.) I got my first tattoo here from Walt Watts, and he is **INCREDIBLE**. I had asked for recommendations of who does the best floral tattoos in the SLC area, and his name came up. When I checked out his portfolio, I found that in addition to doing breath-taking flowers, he's a talented artist who can do really any style or idea you might want--especially if you want something creative, unique and well-executed. My tat is a gigantic back piece of a crow that ended up taking about 17 hours (in 3 sessions) to complete. He sent me several designs to help get just the right feeling for the piece which helped me immensely in clarifying my vision for it. Obviously, it hurt, but he has a very light touch, and the line-work really wasn't too painful. I was shocked at how quickly parts of it went, and now that he has his new equipment, it's even faster and a little less painful. This was a totally new experience for me, and with Walt's talent, professionalism and bedside manner (helpful hint: eat enough before you get a giant tattoo!), I got through it in one piece and came out with an unbelievably bad-ass, original piece of art that I get to show off for the rest of my life. He gave me progress reports and checked in on me as we were going and educated me on exactly how to care for it. It's also worth noting that after each session, I was pretty much healed (albeit itchy) after only about a week! His time is WELL worth the cost. For real--hurry up and book with him before you have to schedule a year out! THANK YOU WALT; YOU'RE THE BEST! I love my tattoo and Art On You Studios!! I will definitely back for more!

I went to get a tattoo in memory of my grandma. It was a cover up of a hummingbird and strawberries with like a natural color scheme. BUT WHAT I GOT WAS... Bright colors, and you can still see the lines of the old tattoo through the new one. The new tattoo wasn't big enough to cover up my old one. I DEFINITELY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THESE GUYS IF YOU ARE DOING A COVER UP OF ANY KIND... I tried to talk to the owner about it and let him know I wasn't happy with my work and he was not very nice when I started asking him questions about fixing it...

WORST TATTOO EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!! Didn't want to give one star but it makes you...worse than Poor!!! Beware of getting a tattoo here. I had Julie do a Koi fish and she f****ed it up!!!! Then she tried to fix it by doing a cover up and it is still a mess and TOO DARK!!!! Storm (Aaron Anderson) the owner of Art On You Studios is the BIGGEST Bully, most unprofessional, dishonest, abusive, jerk I have ever had to deal with. What man touches a woman? Very unprofessional. Storm is obviously out of control!!!

I first went to the shop with a friend about a year ago, who was getting tattooed by Steve, whose work was impeccable. While there, Walt didn't have any clients and I was just there jealously watching my friend get tattooed, so we BS'd for a few hours. He showed me his portfolio and I was incredulous when he told me he had only been tattooing for about a year at that point. I have since gone there to get some of Walt's art on me -- he tattooed 3 gorgeous colored roses, the first phase of a shoulder/collar piece with roses and lace, in February, and I am going in today to get it finished with the lace design, which he is going to do freehand based on some designs I have shown him. It's by far my biggest and most beautiful tattoo so far, and I can't wait to see the finished result & post pictures! I can't believe how talented Walt is, especially given the relatively short amount of time he has been tattooing! In my opinion his work is at least at LEAST as good or better than any of the more experienced artists out there. Steve is also an incredible artist, all the guys at the shop who I've met are very nice and professional, and I highly recommend this shop to anyone who wants some awesome ink!
