I went into Anchor Ink while my brother got his first tattoo. Having gotten one myself before, I have always been hesitant to get another one. After being there for a couple hours with my brother, I am convinced that I need to get another one and the only place I will be going is Anchor Ink. Steve Tippets was our artist. he was extremely professional, personable, and very knowledgeable. He loves his craft and makes sure you know it. I was shocked to see anything other than 5 star reviews here. You have to know that when you're walking into a tattoo shop, you're not walking into an office expecting to see people in suits and ties. There isn't a receptionist. These guys are a bunch of authentic, passionate artists doing what they love every day.

I got a tat here and it was pretty rad. Forgot the artists name. Was a little uncomfortable w/ the swastika artwork on the wall when I went but it was like 2 yrs ago or so, so maybe they took it down. Who knows. But everyone was chill and my tats still perfect.

Was recommended to go to Anchor Ink by a few friends. I went in to get a consultation with Steve. He was really nice and told me he was booked for a few months and told me he had artists available at that moment. He brought Shane up and we came up with a design and did the tattoo that day. Shane did an awesome job on my tattoo and was very friendly. Just from my experience of being in there all the artists were really nice and do great work. Very satisfied!

Not one to write bad reviews but i can't say id recommend this place. I tried to get my chest piece finished here and i went in and talked to an artist and got pictures taken of what i already have done and talked about what else i want done. Long story short i got an estimated time frame when i would be able to come back to get it done but never heard back from said artist after trying to contact them for a month. Sucks but ill go somewhere else.

My girlfriend and I went in for some simple tattoos and the artist, Shane, did amazing. It was even tedious lines on our fingers and it looks great. Definitely liked the feel of the shop and will easily go back for more work. Great place!

His linework is amazing and he uses a healing product (Landerm) that has made the rest of our honeymoon in UT super easy as we haven’t had to worry about our fresh tats getting irritated at all. The other artists are super cool too. We give Anchor Ink 10/10 for professionalism, great work, and atmosphere. If we were local, we’d 100% be back.

Today is July 03, 2015 and I just got my very first tattoo done here at the shop. Everyone was super friendly and will make you feel like you're at home. The artists are extremely talented and you can check their portfolios to see for yourself, the place is super duper clean and......smelled real good which was a big plus. Enough said about the place,let's talk about the artist that worked on me. His name is JASON THOMAS and he's freaking AMAZING, TALENTED, DOWN TO EARTH, and you WILL LOVE HIM. I was very scared at first but he made the entire session go through easy and light as a feather. His talent is just AMAZING, his skill of transferring and putting what was in you mind down on your skin is GODLIKE. I'm so glad that Anchor Ink has an artist like him. You WILL NOT be disappointing going with he man himself JASON THOMAS.

I visited this shop planning to make this the shop I get both my sleeves done at, but the artist I had made fun of my sister right in front of her and made her cry because of the tattoo she wanted (passion tattooed on her wrist, representing her passion for culinary arts). My best friend and I were looking to get matching anchor tattoos on our ankles. I was also looking into getting a white infinity tattoo on my ring finger as well. We were very excited to find a good tattoo place with good reviews, but so far my experience has been terrible. I spoke with someone on Facebook and asked if anyone did white tattoos. They said, "White ends up looking like a scar so as long as you understand that yes." I told him that is what I was going for because I was doing the infinity symbol on my finger and I was ok with it looking like a scar. They then told me if I did the anchor tattoo and finger tattoo at the same time there would be a discount but advised me to call the shop when they opened to get everything set up. I called them a little after one and what they told me in the shop did not match what they were saying on Facebook at all. They told me they don't do finger tattoos or white ink. A little later I had my friend call back about the anchor tattoos because I had to get back to work. She then sent me the following message that said, "I called them and they were like oh what's up Casey how you doing man? I was like uhh this is a girl and then they hung up." I asked her if she had the right number and she said they said, "Anchor Ink Tattoo." Just thought that I would share my experience because we don't really feel comfortable going there anymore. So far... Terrible experience. *This is an edit to my original post* Steve messaged me back. He apologized and said that there have been problems with their phones. True or not... I appreciate the apology. Even though he is booked for months he offered to stay later to do mine. I have already found another place to go, but I do appreciate what he did to reconcile to situation.

Mike, or Junior as my partner and I call him, is our artist and does incredible line work and shading. We mainly have superhero tattoos but his first artwork for us was two small symbols which were so clean we kept coming back. He did my family's Scottish crest for me with a very complex tartan background many told me couldn't be done. The rest of the artists are very friendly and inclusive. It's a great shop.

I scoped this place out for a couple weeks making sure this was the place and making sure the artist I chose was the one that would make everything I wanted happen. I did a lot of reading and finally made my choice with Junior and went in to get a pretty big tattoo done on my arm. He did absolutely amazing and you know every time I went in there I was treated with respect. My wife also loved everyone and everything about this place and found the artist she wants for her tattoo. There are about 10 or so artist that work there and all range in a very well spread of things they are good at. I know I made the right choice going here and having a beautiful tattoo done. I also was so appreciative of how friend and helpful they were whenever I called to know more about taking care of it and what I could do to make it look better and have less issues in the long run. Anchor ink has always been good to me and I love what they have done for me.

She is quick but not to the point where it compromises the quality, and very efficient as well as detail oriented. I originally scheduled with her because of how good her colored work is since I didn’t want any black ink in my first tattoo. The receptionist(s) are always amicable and helpful. BAHAHAHA! Austin did work on me. It's cool when you walk in and talk to them, but I agree with the touch up situation. I did simple sunflowers and my maiden name, it was cool ... until I needed the touch up. AND he said he would add some petals or whatever to link the flowers. NOPE! No reply. Their answer was always the same, "he just started on a tattoo." I already left a FEW messages and my call back number, still no reply. I also emailed him directly...still no reply. But I will admit, I didn't know that tipping wasn't included in their rate (so I probably wouldn't like me either) BUT I was willing to make that up and still give a real good tip for a "free touch up" since that would be the next time I see them. They really did have great reviews, but honestly I wouldn't give my money to people who don't care about their customers. I would rather spend the extra money I have on people who have great customer service skills. Plus, I got work done in San Diego a few weeks later and compared to the work and customer service abilities of the shop, I would definitely drive back down there just for ink.

Almost went somewhere else to get a "deal" for a tattoo, but they were booked. (So grateful they were cause just from walking in the front door, Anchor Ink was 100% better than the first place) Made my way in tonight to get an estimate at Anchor Ink and ended up staying to get my tattoo right then. Jon was amazing! The piece wasn't difficult, an infinity/heart but Jon made sure it was just the way I wanted, asking about things I hadn't even thought of (like if I wanted the infinity symbol to connect to the heart or not). I went to Anchor Ink to get some script done on my wrist. Casey did an amazing job! I gave him something that was almost impossible, I wanted way too much writing in a small area. He tried about 9 different times to get it to fit. Trying to get it on there took longer that actually tattooing it. But Casey was persistent and it came out great! Everyone there was very professional and friendly EXCEPT the front desk girl. She was snotty and talked to me like I was an idiot. When I went to make my appointment and when I got it done she acted like she hated her life and her job. I thought her tone and attitude was unprofessional. She is the only reason I would not rate Anchor Ink 5 stars.Casey though was awesome!

I just want to start off with saying I love this shop and I will definitely come here for all my tattoos! I've gotten tattoos done by Britainy and Austen and I am in love with them! They are so well done and the price is super fair! I didn't have to wait long at all! Erin (I think that's her name) is also super great and friendly! On the other hand my boyfriend had an appointment for 4:30 with Jon and he didn't even start getting tattooed until 6:30. It was really frustrating. But like I said I love this place and can't wait to be back!

As first timers we didn't know what to expect but everyone there was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Buzz was the artist who did both of our tattoos. He was very professional and I was so impressed with his talent and overall attention to detail. I would recommend him and Anchor Ink to anyone who is thinking about getting a tattoo.

These fellows surely have outfitted my friend with some hard-ass tats. Only, there was one unpleasant beardy gentleman when I went in, who would scoff as my beloved bro would ask that he aim lower than beardyman suggested, when plotting a space for his pokey tattool to poke about. They admit only one guest-personage to the back parlor. It was between me and a different bro of mine to venture aft, but I was so troubled by the prickliness of this specific staff member that I chose to stay lobbyside. Get a tat here, yes. Make certain, however, that you are not betatted by a pricklybeardy. Much more serenity is this way possible.

It was so much cheaper than I thought it would be for the quality!!! Britainy did a palm tree on my forearm. It only took about (what felt like) a half hour and it was absolutely perfect. Very comfortable, laid back environment. There are a lot of good artists at this shop, I ABSOLUTELY recommend. They listen to what you want and tell you what will and won't look good. I've had 3 tattoos done by Mat Barboa recently, and I'm really happy with how they all turned out. He may be young, but is very talented. I looked at a lot of other tattoo artists but went with him bc I could see he is excellent with photo realism and line work that is very precise. He is humble and takes his work very seriously. He's great at taking your ideas, but then individualizing the tattoo to make it unique and artistic. The shop has a relaxed vibe, and the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Best way to communicate with the artists seems to be to just drop in and talk with them. Saves time and they are happy to talk with you if they're available.

If I could give this shop and artist 10 stars I literally would... New to the area and I was looking for an artist to do a tribute for my grandpa as well as covering up a bunch of nasty scars on my arm. Set an appointment with Steve after looking at the reviews on here and seeing his portfolio. I was really nervous to go to a new artist because I had been with mine for many years and previous artist before that always screwed me over or let me down. Anyway, the day of the appointment when I went in he was on time to the T, ready to go and everything was set up. The shop was clean and the staff was friendly. I could tell Steve had been tattooing for along time (which I found out it had been 16 years). He had a good set up, good quality inks and equipment, he was light handed, everything was wrapped and clean. I am a really picky person and when he was done I felt like he went above and beyond of what my expectations were! I will post a photo below so you can see what I am taking about. You can't even see the scars on my arm anymore! He was very reasonable on pricing especially for being a portrait artist. He gave me good after care instructions to take home (even tho I didn't need them it would be great for anyone going in for a first time tattoo). He guarantees his work which also great for any touch ups that may be needed. He also wrapped my arm in some nice thermo wrap, most artist use cheap cellophane. Which thermo wrap makes a huge difference. The tattoo is healing nicely, no scabs or rough spots anywhere. I was so impressed that I set my next appointment up already and probably won't ever go to another artist after this. If you are looking for a GOOD EXPERIENCED ARTIST go to Steve you won't be disappointed......

There is so much to say at this place. Steve is my go to man, he did my first ink and came out beautiful, exactly how I want it and healed very nicely. His team are awesome and wonderful people, they create a very friendly and professional environment. I absolutely love this place, I referred my brother here and is getting the rest of his back done. You literally cannot go wrong here, they are all humble, straight forward, they have nothing to hide and there is nothing for you to be worried about. This is the place to go, I love the atmosphere, they are touch-base and they care about you. They crack jokes, making the atmosphere light and joyful, you'll never leave there without a smile. Personally, I have been searching for years, met artists that don't even meet the standards as they should and the environment is either drab and sketchy or downright you feel like you shouldn't be there. Unlike Anchor, you're taken care of and excellent customer service. Getting inked wasn't as painful as most people think, personally I thought it tickled. My ink lands on my right hip just barely on my hipbone and that's when it started to hurt, but other than that it went well. Check it out for yourself, drop in, check the website or call in, this is the place to go.

I got a small font tattoo on the outside of my foot back in March. Casey did my tattoo. He only charged me shop minimum, which was nice. About a month later, I noticed that the font had started to fade and parts of it looked like there was no ink there at all. My first thought was that he did not go deep enough, seeing that I took immaculate care of it. I called to get a touch up because their shop GUARANTEES free touch ups. Couldn't get a hold of Casey, so I left a message with the person who answered the phone to have him call me so I could come in and get it touched up. It is now August and I have called about 4 times and each time, they say that they'll leave a message with Casey and yet no call. I've even emailed him directly and he still won't respond. Each time I tell them that I've called and they give me attitude and say they have no control of it because Casey is a private booth renter. I think its absolutely unprofessional and it completely counteracts their "guarantee" of a free touch up. Also on their website, it says that they accept all credit cards. When I went to pay, Casey told me that he only takes cash so I had to drive over to an ATM to withdraw cash. I will never ever go here again or recommend it to anyone I know.

I went to a previous shop right up the road cause the artist was a family friend, needless to say, friend or not, her work was awful. I know Jeana through work and I showed her my crappy tattoo I had gotten done on my hip and she gave me her card to make an appointment to fix it. All of my tattoos (3) done by the previous artist are tattoos I was not proud to show off, I cried while looking in the mirror at them, and I debated paying thousands to get them removed. I scheduled with Jeana and had a totally different experience. I cried because once she was done fixing it, it looked like a completely different tattoo, it looked AMAZING!!!! She has now fixed 2 of my tattoos and completely transformed them. I feel so much more confident and proud to show off my tattoos to everyone! Jeana is wonderful.

My wife and I chose this shop based on reviews and the level of professionalism that followed from the first phone call. I called a few times and no matter who answered they were always friendly and professional. Austen had me e-mail him ideas for the two tattoos and he had them ready to roll by the time we got to the shop over the weekend. He and Jared made my wife and I feel at ease. The whole atmosphere of the shop was relaxed but the shop was bustling which is a good sign. Jared did script on my wife's forearm which turned out awesome. He worked with her on a few ideas and drew up some pictures for her. After having a large tattoo done on my ribs I can say Austen is top notch. Not a drop of ink out of place and the lines are perfect. We will be going back for the next round for sure.

Worst tattoo experience I've had. The artist could care less what I asked for and was nothing close to friendly -called the tattoo I wanted chicken scratch. I was appalled by the customer service and overall atmosphere of the shop. I recommend finding another place where your artist actually cares what you want and takes time to make it happen. Not satisfied or impressed.
