If you’re thinking of going to another tattoo shop, let me save you the trip. I have been to Element two times now and each time has been nothing less than astounding. The staff are so kind, welcoming, and they make you feel so comfortable. Justin did my tattoo today, I walked in & had a simple/vague idea of a rose tattoo I wanted. He really took my ideas and ran with them, brought them to life and provided me with the most beautiful/elegant tattoo and I couldn’t be more excited. This is a shop I would trust with any type of tattoo. No matter what you’re looking for, they have someone to accommodate you. The first time I went to Element was Nov 2017. Tyson did a simple quote written by my closest friend and it still looks as good as it did the day I got it. I have gotten tattoos in high-end, expensive shops in various places around the world, and I’ve never been as satisfied as I am with the work of the true artists at Element. You will pay a reasonable price for the best possible quality out there. Most importantly, the staff at this shop are true artists who love what they do and are rightfully proud of their hard work.

Javier Luis was the first person I went to see about getting my first tattoo. The connection was immediate and I gave him a deposit right then and there. A couple days later I have exactly what I was looking for. Even more beautiful than I had imagined. The shop is really awesome, clean, and very professional. But I have a connection with Javier Luis and he will be doing all of my work. I would highly recommend this shop and more importantly Javier Luis to anyone, especially if you are considering having your first tattoo. My experience was spiritual. I went to Element Tattoo Studio to get my first tattoo done! I had a great experience getting tattooed by Jedidia; the staff was personable and well-informed, and Jedi was able to take my original ideas and turn them into something better than I could have imagined! I was in and out within two and a half hours, and the result was more than worth the price. For quality work and a quality time, I would recommend Element Tattoo to get your work done--there are plenty of artists to cater to any taste, and they take appointments as well as walk-ins! 10/10 will get tattooed there again.

Worst tattoo place ever. Do not book appointment with artist Justin. I went with my idea for a leg piece, he checked his calendar and gave me a date for a month later. He was excited about my design and asked me to put deposit. I asked about the design 3 days before my appointment and he didn’t design anything. And, a day before the appointment, he texted that he cannot do it and is booked and busy and cancelled my appointment. I asked them to refund my deposit and they kept passing my concern from manager to manager. Then when I went there for the THIRD time to ask for my deposit refund and I was explaining my story to one of the managers, a person(not sure if he was one of the managers) came with my deposit and threw it on the table in front of me with a stupid attitude. Not only the tattoo artist didn’t do what he said and went back on his word, but even the management was trying to hide his mistake. They were rude and unwelcoming for refunding my $50, when they knew and they agreed that they were at fault. Overall, you cannot trust anyone at this place, I would recommend not to go there for your tattoo.

She matched the color of my natural brows perfectly, they turned out fantastic, and have made such a difference to the overall look of my face. Jedi has been working on my back for a couple of years now, and I'm simply amazed every time we finish a session. Everyone here has always been nothing but awesome whenever I go by, I have never had any issues. I recommend Element to anyone who asks about tattoos/ microblading/ tattoo removal.

I went to element after doing a little research on places here in town. After I'd found a picture giving me an idea of what I wanted, I went in. This being my first Tattoo, I was hella nervous and didn't know what to expect. Soon as I walked in, I was greeted and treated very well by the staff. I went with artist Javier who could not have done a better job. Not only did he create an awesome design from a picture of a piece of wood working that I showed him, but he got just the perfect size for the body part I wanted it on. He's a true artist and I couldn't be happier with this work. 10/10 would totally go back, actually thinking about going back soon. I can not stress enough how comfortable they made me feel. Place is totally legit, would recommend to anyone.

I had a bad experience at this shop. Let me start by saying that I got my first tattoo here and my knowledge is limited to only what I've read online and heard from friends. So keep that in perspective about this review. I wanted to see if I could get a walk in tattoo at this place and I was happy that they were able to fit me in their schedule. I asked for a tattoo of a chess piece on my arm, and it's no more than three inches tall and an inch and a half at it's widest spot. So it's a small tattoo and I was quoted $180. So from what I've heard I expected good quality for such a small tattoo that only took no more then 45 minutes. In hindsight it definitely wasn't worth the money because the quality doesn't match the price. I know I'm the one who willingly paid for the tattoo so it's not like I wasn't aware of the price for the size of the tattoo. But since I got the tattoo last Saturday, it's has mostly peeled, and a lot of the ink peeled off along with the skin so I'm left with a much more faint tattoo then when it was originally finished. Again, after more research I have found out that a little bit of ink will come out when peeling occurs because not all the ink gets into the deeper layers of the skin depending on how deep the artist goes. But what left my skin was a LOT more ink then what was originally put there in the first place. I have two pictures of what it looked like the day I got it, and what it looks like now. Obviously the darker ink is the picture of when I first got it. I've been told it needs to be touched up and fixed since the ink didn't go deep enough the first time. Again, this was my first tattoo and I'm not putting all the blame of it on this shop and the artist who did it, as I was completely aware of what I was getting myself into, but there's no way that this tattoo was worth $180 after it's all said and done.

Everyone here is super cool and friendly and all of the artists do incredible work. I got my first tattoo done by a Chelsea who is extremely talented and I am so so happy with the finished work. If you're thinking about getting something from here, do it! In my opinion, it's one of (if not THE) best shop in San Antonio.

I recently went to Element tattoo to get something added to my arm sleeve. I went in as a walk in and was able to get my tattoo done the same day. I was originally supposed to get it done by Javier who does really great watercolor work but he was busy at the the time so I allowed for another artist to do it, since I believed it wouldn’t be too difficult to do. After our session was over, the artist assured me that I would be able to come and get a touch up once my tattoo heals but when that time came around they were no longer working at the shop. Also, during our session, it was really uncomfortable and awkward, plus the artist barely said anything. Anyhow, I wasn’t happy with the finished product and after it healed I contacted Javier and let him know everything that happened and he allowed me to come in so he could touch it up for free. During our session, he was very kind and talkative. Definitely a people person and you can tell he is very passionate about what he does. At the end of our session I was very pleased with the work that he did and that surely changed my mind about coming back to Element. I plan on coming back soon and bringing more people with me as well. Thank you Javier!!

Nothing short of absolutely fantastic. I will go there again ANY time to get more ink done. The place is classy, the artists are very down to earth, no nonsense or anything. Most tattoo places can be kinda iffy, but this place is NOT THAT. I moved here from Colorado Springs with a half finished Jurassic Park style t-rex on my arm, as it was a cover up. Not only did Zach fix it up, he made it look so much better than it did and you can't even tell there was another tattoo under it. If ANYONE is needing ink done, this is the place. I trust them, and you should too. :)

If you're looking to get tattooed at a place that won't have you regretting your decision, don't look any further! After a lot of research on the best place to get tattooed, I came to Element Tattoo to get a big piece that would mean a lot to me. I was referred to Javier since my piece was realistic. Javier did an amazing job! Not only is the piece VERY detailed, but throughout the session, Javier was very focused on what he was doing, and it was obvious that he takes pride in every tattoo he produces. Javier scheduled me for a free touch up, and again, he displayed that same focus and pride in the tattoo, which of course made me very happy. Javier not only is a great tattoo artist, but he is also VERY friendly and kept good conversation during both sessions. Everyone that I have met at the shop were friendly, and the front desk are probably the best front desk staff I have ever encountered; they know exactly who will do the best job for the tattoo that you want. As far as price, I can't believe people say it is pricey; I thought I got a very fair price for the amazing piece I received. Just a couple of hours after leaving the shop, I was complimented twice on my tattoo.

My tattoos and my husband's tattoos are beautiful and deserve to be in a magazine or a paper something. The ones Pete has done for me he has drawn from scratch with very few details from me. Got my first ever tattoo at Element and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! I contacted them on Instagram the day before and they were able to find me an appointment with Javier who does great watercolour tattoos (which is what I wanted). When I arrived, all of the team were so friendly and really made me feel at ease - which I needed as I was pretty nervous! Javier was just lovely and made me feel so comfortable! The tattoo looks sooo much better than the original picture I gave him and he did it in about an hour and a half, which is absolutely incredible. I couldn't be happier with the result. Other members of the shop came over to ask how I'm doing mid-tattoo and to see what the end result was like. I said what I wanted and then he gave his recommendation of what he'd do. I ended up getting about exactly in the middle of that and I thank him for that. I made an appointment with Javier to get an owl tattooed on me. He did an amazing job, the colors look awesome. I love my tattoo. He was focused the whole time working on me, he has great customer service skills. Very great artist, would recommend him to everyone. I loved his work, I made an appointment that same day to go back and a peacock tattoo!

I got two beautiful forearm pieces done by William and I could not be happier! Everyone was friendly and super knowledgeable about each other’s styles and specialties. I came in late on a Saturday (way too late to get a tattoo done before closing) but William quickly booked me an appointment for his next open day. I sent him some designs I was thinking about and when I came in on the day of my session he had everything drawn up beautifully! The pieces were a perfect mesh of my wants and William’s style.
