Horrible experience!I I called the shop weeks in adv to schedule a tattoo for my kid’s bday. Sent the $60 thru FB to be applied to final price. Tattoo was to cover scars from self-harm. Matt decided to switch his days off to do it. His choice. We discussed price ($150/hr!!) I worked to increase my budget. He asked what my budget was, then he resized the sketch several times before settling on a flat price. My kid suffers from mental/emotional disorders and to see her so upbeat was exciting. I had never considered a tattoo for myself but I had recently learned about The ; Project, which brings awareness to the issues of suicide, addiction & mental health. I mentioned to my daughter that I may have a small (;) done on my wrist in the future. She begged me to do it. I asked Matt if that was ok and he said, “Sure!” I sat down he spent 10 mins inking out the small “;” tattoo. I paid w cash. I forgot about my $60 dep and when I asked Matt about it he told me he had to keep it “to make his books right.” Not wanting to cause anxiety for my kid, I left with the intention of discussing the issue with Matt later. Back in Knox I started to look harder at my “;” tattoo. The “,” portion looked great, but the “.” was not round. It looked like a misshapen mole! I got on Msnger with Matt, & he told me if it didn’t look better when the swelling went down for me to “swing by the shop” so he could “fix” it. I reminded him we had rented a car to get there. I then asked him about my deposit. He freaked out like all hell had broken loose! He started going on and on about how DARE I expect a “free” tattoo; that he should have charged $160 more than he did; and didn’t I know he had to come to work on his day off!! He told me the $60 was a sitting fee for my tattoo. Wow!! That’s an huge amt of $ on my fixed income! ALL MATT HAD TO DO WAS TO TELL ME THE PRICE AND I NEVER WOULD HAVE SAT DOWN IN HIS CHAIR!! Instead, he said nothing and just took my deposit. He said if I wanted my deposit back I would have to come to the shop to collect it (hello, no car!), that we were banned from the shop, and that he would never work for us again!! He said some really ugly things to me. Who does business like that!?! It’s obvious the tattoo is messed up!! It looks like a kid in prison did it and now I’ll have to pay to have it fixed at a shop here in Knox. I spoke to the owner before writing this in the hope of quietly working this out. I was told “sorry about the miscommunication” but that I would “have to work it out with the artist”. This was NOT a MIScommunication! This was a LACK of communication on Matt’s part. Had he told me the price I would have declined the tattoo. I thought he was just tacking my little “;” at the end of my daughter’s time. How was I supposed to know? IMO Matt needs to find a little humility and realize he’s not the only-nor is he the greatest-tattoo artist around. His theft and attitude spoiled the experience. I don’t want other ppl to get ripped off! Beware!!

I'm from our of town and was looking for a good tattoo shop. BOI, did I hit the jackpot. Shop was very clean and full of nice artist. Prices were fair and artwork was great. I went in not expecting to get a large peice because I was a walk in, i got lucky with Matt tho. He sit and did my tattoo all day. Now everytime I visit I know the place to go. I want to say thanks to everyone out the shop for the great time and experience. 10/10 would sit in pain for 4+ hours again.

Nice and experienced staff. SAM did my daith piercings both on the same day and I love them and she was upfront on the pain scale . I never even held my breath as she pierced thru. Did an outstanding job on cleaning and keeping my ear in one piece. I will be back for more piercings and a tattoo!!!

Got a cover up done by Matt and he was great. He did great work and was fair and up front the entire process. Everyone at the shop were great as well. They were all friendly and all were complimenting the work the whole time . They made conversation to keep me occupied as this was a lengthy tattoo. Thanks Matt for fixing the mess I had on my arm. I have and will continue to recommend these guys to everyone looking for a tattoo.

The women who peicerd my nose didnt wash her hands before she put on her gloves. She was very rude and snapppy when my boyfriend asked questions about the pericing. It was an awful experience. The stud she perircied my nose with ended up being two small and i had to change it the next day.

I went the other day to have my tongue pierced and i walked in to a smiling face that told me no problem. We walked to the back popped the needle in and i paied and walked out super quick, clean and professional. Then i brought my wife back the next day to have her migraine piercings done took all of 5min and we were out the door. Again super nice,clean,friendly,professional atmosphere. Highly recommended!

I am an older lady that got my nose pierced here. Very nice at the time. Told me to come back when I got ready to change jewelry. Mine came out night before last. I went by Walmart and chose a new one. Went there and told him what I needed and he wanted to charge me for another piercing! If you are not true to your word why would I need to do business with you again? Was thinking about getting a new tattoo, not my first rodeo, but not there.

Was told I was sketchy bc I wore a hat and sunglasses in, the "manager" accused me of doing a drug deal out in the parking lot lol I had to run out to the parking lot. Pot meet kettle... Two stars because mego doesn't deserve that, highly unprofessional. I am double sleeved and looking to do more, it wont be at there. Go to naked ape or nick Moran in Knoxville. The tattooed lady is good too.

I had a custom tattoo by Mego Widmann. I cannot say enough good things about this sweet girl. She drew up my tattoo just the way I wanted it. She was patient with me on the changes I wanted made. It was perfect. A perfect tattoo by a sweet and talented girl at a great price. I will be coming to her for all my future tattoos and referring my friends and family. Seriously, go see this girl. She does amazing work.

Got two pieces done a few years ago by Doc, they still look amazing. Got a tattoo from a well known place in knoxville last year and you can tell the difference in quality. ***EDIT/UPDATE*** Recently called to see if Doc was available for a consultation, no one answered so I left a message asking for them to call back. After 2 days of no call back I called again, this time I asked if Doc still worked there and the lady said no and hung up. Not sure if I upset someone or what. Kinda rude

Loved this place unroll now. Me and my wife used to get our work done here. My wife went there to get something new. All the artist were talking her out of it. Which is fine. They do this for a living there opinions are appreciated. But rudeness is not. My wife had leggings and a T shirt on. They assumed this was gonna be her first tat. When she informed them that she had 10 the guy says well if you have 10 then they must all be small ones then. My wife has her whole left side covered down to her hip. They were rude to her the whole time. Even with how they were telling her the location and what she wanted wouldn't be a good idea. I don't think it was a show of good bussiness. Felt more like they were ganging up and picking on her. Like I said I used to love this place I thought of it as a hidden gem. Now there is no way I'd recommend them or ever go back.
