Went over Labor Day weekend and got my very first tattoo! Vicent was an excellent artist, making sure my design was perfect and keeping my newbie mind off the needle during the process. Had an excellent piercing experience with Ian! Overall, Icon is clean, well-lit, and doesn't have the usual seedy shady tattoo parlor atmosphere. Ian was super professional, efficient, and calming. He explained everything he was going to do and everything he was doing. He answered all of my questions, gave me the science behind some things, and even answered questions I had about other piercings I want to get. Also, Darby was personable and did a great job helping me pick the appropriate jewelry. She made me feel at ease right up front and helped reduce any nervousness I was feeling.

I got a 3rd eye dermal done by Pat about 2 weeks ago. This was by far the easiest piercing I have ever had (I've had many) and the easiest to heal right. He was amazing, super friendly, great people person, very knowledgeable, and funny. My next piercing will be here with him. It is a little pricey here, but they stand by their products and I know if I have jewelry malfunction they will make it right.I do wish that the price they quoted me would have been the jewelry they showed me when I came for my appointment. But, any other shop would help, if you buy new jewelry. Very clean business with all friendly employees. I went back and got my daith and septum and of course by Pat. He's amazing.

Icon was awesome! They were able to schedule me less than an hour after calling them. They have many different types of jewelry to choose from, great for people who are sensitive to certain types of metal. The piercer was able to anodize the titanium right there to change the color of the jewelry - a cool addition. Lastly, the staff is SO NICE and very helpful. I felt comfortable and confident in getting it done there. Pat was genuine and let me know I could call with any questions or problems. I'll definitely be back for any future work :)

Went here with a friend for piercings. Friend got a cartilage piercing and I got a nose piercing. I usually have trouble with piercings in that my skin seems to get irritated fairly quickly and chronically from a piercing. Although expensive (or atleast for a college student), I was very happy to pay the $56 (for piercing and jewelry). The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I had literally no irritation or pain after the piercing. I had to return a few weeks later for a clear retainer and they changed it out for me with no pain at all. Highly recommend!

I called before i went in to ask about pricing and hours. I didn't get the lady's name, but she was professional, informative and friendly on the phone. I had a Monroe done by Rawn and absolutely love it. Everything was clean and sterile (Rawn changed gloves several times before the piercing) and he talked me through the entire process. He was clear with aftercare instructions and went through them with me (even though I have a visible lip piercing). The pricing was as expected and worth every penny considering the care that goes into the process. Every step was easy and comfortable. I'll definitely go back to Rawn for any future piercings.

If you just need something simple like a piercing or want to buy some new jerwlery I would definitely go somewhere else. I went in to get a simple jewelry change, i was told to wait just a minute and someone would be with me. I waited almost an hour before I was called back even though there were multiple people working and only one other customer in there. The jewelry is also very overpriced. Granted they have some solid gold pieces in there, but a simple basic small diamon stud nose ring was $47, crazy. On top of this, I wanted to get a ring they didn’t have in stock but they said they could order it for me and would call me when it came in, 2 weeks later I had still heard nothing back so I called in to check the status and the girl then informed me it can take up to several months for the jewelry to come in?!?? I’m sorry but why?? And why would you not let me know that up front? I canceled my order and will be going to another shop from here out, not worth the time or money.

Very professional and nice but I was refused several months ago a vertical clit hood piercing because he said that it was not the right size to have pierced and that it was too small and perhaps risky. I was visiting from out of state and when I returned home and spoke with someone there, she thought the guy perhaps was a bit squeamish because she pierced it for me and I had no problems whatsoever from it and it turned out Great, so I am so glad I did not take his recommendation and just let it go. If you are in a similar situation but want this piercing it can be done by finding the right person to do it for you.

Icon lived up to its better reviews-- friendly staff, make you feel at home. I came in twice, once to get a hoop for my cartilage and again to get my lip pierced. Both times, Bettyann was extremely nice and helpful. She offered to put the hoop in for me, free of cost. Other places will charge you. I have met other piercing artists before who are pricks and seem inconvenienced by you coming into the shop. Not at Icon! When Bettyann pierced my lip, she let me lay down and brought me water and glucose tablet when I started to feel faint. If you are looking for a clean, friendly place to get a piercing, go here!

I love going here because every piercer I've encountered here is very professional and knowledgeable about their job. I will say that staff members have tendency to change from year to year, but rest assured that all of them know what they are doing. The piercers are very good with cleanliness and sanitation of their space and jewelry. They continuously wash and re-glove their hands, and they take their time finding the perfect placement. If you like a certain artist, I would definitely suggest following them on social media. The only issue I've had with Icon is that their parking is atrocious on Church Street. This is a downtown Nashville issue, but it can be frustrating trying to find parking when going here. Usually, one has to park at different businesses and hope your car isn't towed.

great work, love BettyAnn Got a PA done September 2010, have had zero problems with it. Don't let anyone kid you, this procedure is pretty painful, but BettyAnn is a real pro and got me umm off the ceiling without incident :) Extremely clean place, excellent sterility practice. I think the only thing they don't autoclave is Ms BettyAnn herself. Update 1/13/12 Got a tongue piercing today from BettyAnn. Quick, nearly painless. Also some gratis information about my ear piercings. Another good experience.

Went in on a whim with two of my girlfriends for piercings. Amazing experience! Very professional. We went at closing time and all three got piercings. Pat was our piercer. Icon Tattoo is not committed to keeping their promises to paying customers. I recently got a tattoo at this shop. Upon walking in, my friend and I explained what we wanted which was a cookie cutter matching tattoo. While they fit us in, it was a rushed process and we are both extremely dissatisfied with the end product, not to mention the follow up customer service. After both getting our first tattoo, the cashier woman at icon handed us a piece of paper regarding the care of our new tattoos, as well as sent us an electronic copy. On this paper was a promise of a 6mo free touch up. At month 5, I called to schedule my touch up as it had started fading. Icon responded by telling me the tattoo artist no longer worked there and that I would not be able to get this touch up for free, but I could pay another $80 to get my pinky sized heart outline (originally printed from the internet) touched up. While this could be standard practice, I was never informed prior to this that the artist had moved, despite them having my contact information. When I walked into the tattoo shop, I had asked for this tattoo, not a specific artist and it was not a unique tattoo at that—so their service was a reflection of icon itself, not the specific artist as they were the ones who matched him to me. Lastly, it was the information they advertised on their “how to take care of your new tattoo” that I was informed of their touch up policy, not from the artist himself. Overall I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the experiences I’ve had at icon and I would never in a million years recommend this shop to anyone. In fact, I’ve already told many of my friends looking for a tattoo parlor to not go to Icon because of how dishonorably they run their tattoo parlor. They do not hold up their promises to customers nor do they go out of their way to ensure customers are satisfied. I will never return.

I can not attest to this shops work, we never made it past the receptionist. She was aggravated from the second we walked in, rolling her eyes as she had to put down her phone to acknowledge us. My husband and I have SEVERAL obvious tattoos and I asked to see an artist about 4 small dots I wanted placed on my ring finger and my husband wanted something much larger. Que second eye roll when she informs me that the artists there do not like to do finger tattoos and she doubts anyone would have time to talk to Me because they dislike doing them. Okay, cool, great business plan. Horrible service from a snotty receptionist.

I walked in for a quick nose piercing and I was in and out under an hour. I arrived on a Friday morning right when they opened. My piercer was Rat and he was phenomenal. He was very thorough in his explanation of my piercing and took his time to answer my questions. His process was sterile and I never questioned the cleanliness of Icon. I will definitely be returning. I imagine, though, any other time one would need an appointment because there were five people in the lobby when I arrived.

I went along with my friends while they got piercings. The artists were clearly experts. At no point did I feel that they were unsure. The noteworthy thing however, is how sanitary Icon was. The facilities were clean, and all of the necessary precautions were taken to avoid infection and such. Piercings and tattoos freak me out, but I would be comfortable getting either of these things done at Icon.

We got matching tattoos by different artists but they both turned out very very similar and looking fantastic. This was my first tattoo experience and the artist made sure I was always okay, and was fine when I asked to take a minute. The entire staff was very nice and helpful, I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone.

I went in with a friend who got her nose pierced at a different place in Florida. Her piercing has been irritated and inflamed, so we went in to talk through what she needs to do differently. On an impulsive decision I decided to get my nose pierced. I've wanted it for a while, but never thought I would actually do it, so on a split second decision went ahead and did it. The process was easy, barely hurt, and I love the fact that they custom fit all rings to your nose. They really have a detailed explanation of the cleaning & healing process. Great experience. Very clean.

Kristina pierced my septum yesterday and, oh my goodness!! She took her time, lined it up perfectly, didn't even get near the cartilage... I honestly felt no pain whatsoever. It's barely sore at all today either. She explained every step of the process before she even touched me so I knew exactly what to expect. She washed her hands in front of me and I watched her open brand new equipment to use. Hands down the best experience I have ever had. I will be back!! Stray was very professional and offered information about why my piecing had hurt so much when I got it (wrong site for the bar to have been inserted). Called to see if there was any open availability and was directed to the shop by a very cool lady. It had been about two years since my last tattoo and I needed to get started I my work again. I got to the shop and was quickly impressed by not just the selection of artwork and jewelry, but also by the very welcoming hospitality of the entire crew. I Wish i could have gotten all of my piercings here and that I knew about this place sooner. I impulsively set up an appointment last Saturday and was surprised they were able to book me in. I came in around 7:15ish and i could tell it was quite busy. Despite this, Darby greeted me immediately and after explaining i had an appointment for a piercing, they pulled out all of the jewelry i could choose from. We talked while i waited and after filling out the forms i was ready to see Pat. Pat was Phenomenal, i was anxious before hand but he never once made me feel like i was in a rush. He answered all of the questions that I had before hand which really made me more comfortable and helped with the anxiety. He explained the process and made sure i was happy with its location. The piercing itself was a little painful but he made the rest is as easy as possible. I was out of there in a second and super pleased with my new piercing! I did have to go back in two day's later because the bar that was used ended not being big enough to accommodate the swelling (not at all pat's fault, he had used a long bar, but my lip swole up more than expected!) and they were able to take care of me quickly as well. Unfortunately i didn't get the guy's name but he switched out my jewelry immediately. I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else again, I'm so pleased with my experience. I recommend this place to anyone!!

When I had the pleasure of getting my tattoo, it seemed like a gaggle of people in a party wanted piercings at the same time. Despite how busy it was, they very timely got me in for my tattoo. The artist, Zak, was prompt and created a beautiful design from what I described to him that I wanted. He priced the artwork very reasonably as well as having a very clean and great experience for my first tattoo. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

I loved the atmosphere of the shop and the piercer Ian was extremely clean and helpful. The lady in the front(I'm bad with names) was very helpful on the phone. I got my tongue and my ears pierced at a 10g. And my boyfriend got his ears. We are from Mississippi and we will definitely come back for any more piercings.

I came in about 2 weeks ago to get a small gold ring for my forward helix. I've had this piercing for roughly 8-10 years and it has been fully healed and healthy. Since I purchased the ring there ($80) I asked the piercer to put it in for me. The piercer started to put it in and couldn't close it properly so went to get another ring. I kept saying ouch! Because it felt like he was pulling really really hard almost ripping it. I felt sore when I left but thought nothing of it. Two weeks later I am having to go to another shop to get it removed and let my piercing heal and close up because it's too painful and I don't want to risk infection. I don't know if he didn't sterilize it properly or simply was just too rough but he's completely ruined my perfectly healed, decade old piercing. Changing the earring should not cause this outcome!!!

Awesome place for piercings. I drove over an hour to get my conch pierced and was not disappointed. I can't remember my piercer's name but he was hilarious, made the experience fast and easy. Gave tons of info on aftercare. As he was telling me aftercare info he started brushing his moustache nonchalantly. So funny. Previously I went to a local shop and she almost pierced my eardrum!! Wrong placement, she was shaking uncontrollably, kept dropping the jewelry.. i had to let it close up. I told the piercer at Icon this and he went out of his way to make me feel less stressed about getting it redone! Needless to say I have an awesome conch piercing with beautiful jewelry. I'm going back today to get my septum pierced and have him change the jewelry on another cartilage piercing. Worth the drive!

You know. I was kind of disappointed. The customer service was GREAT. The people were really nice but I came in for a *replacement* nosering, since mine fell out. I have had my nose pierced for a decade. The piercer put it in for me but when I got to the counter it was $53 after tax. I have never paid more than $25 for a nosering. I understand she put it in for me, but i did not get a piercing and I feel like I paid the the price for a new piercing. I would come back but I feel like I got ripped off.

Ok, let's be real. This place is pretty freaking sweet. Westin is very professional as well as very knowledgable. As someone traveling for work and not from the area, I chose this establishment off of reviews. Honestly, I chose everything off of reviews, who doesn't?!?! Did i hesitate, yes. However, it is safe to say I'm willing to drive 6.5 hours to have Westin do any piercings going forward -- and jewelry ordering! Highly recommend this establishment!! Thank you again, Westin!

I got my lobes pierced here and the staff was extremely courteous and understanding. I had some anxieties and they talked me through the whole process very professionally. I recently went back for a jewelry change and they gave me great information regarding the healing time of my piercing and which jewelry is the best to use until the piercing is fully healed. I would definitely recommend them for your piercing needs, especially if you've never had a piercing before.
