Eric is such an affable artist, with talent. Hey listened to what my granddaughter, Melanie, and I wanted for our tattoos. He did research beforehand. We are so pleased with the results! Eric studied Graphic Design in College.

All of the staff was kind, professional, and well educated on tattoos and their specialties. We saw Eric who is super talented and also a great conversationalist (helped to pass the time) but I also get the sense that if I were more introverted he wouldn't have forced conversation.

The artists there are lovely and easy to work with. They all seem to be genuinely nice people who get along well with each other. The vibe in the studio is chill and open. I sat for three hours without much discomfort, even fell asleep for a little bit. Very highly recommend and will go again!

(((The owner responded below months later but it still don't change the fact what happened. Being as my concern was responded 3 days ago when this incident happened 2 months ago. The perfect time To build your story to make mine seem inaccurate. I was the only person there getting tattooed at the time and the artist was rude, me and David agreed on a design and price but the size was smaller than we agreed on, you not about to twist my story around so you can make this place of business seem supieor. When the artist clearly seen that I wanted to come inside he blocked me but you calling it a "clumsy mistake" shouldn't be a mistake in the first place if you see a customer trying to come in. Just writing this review is heartbreaking cause I haven't felt the same since! Energy and vibes don't lie. I know what I seen and felt no matter how you try to put it my one Star will remain )))This was my first time getting tattooed here and will probably be my last! The whole experience was shady to me. number one when I tried to come inside the artist blocked me and almost made me feel unwelcomed, but because I was so eager to get a tattoo I stayed. long story short I feel like because I was African American woman they had a certain judgment against me. almost like they had to force themselves to give me customer service.. it didn't seem genuine. While I'm looking for a tattoo another black guy comes in to explain a tattoo he want and the girl artist (blond and glasses) basically act like she didn't want to do it. her attitude wasn't polite and it seem like she was trying to find ways to not do his tattoo. The guy must've felt the energy because he left out. Me on the other hand stayed to let David tattoo me. the tattoo didn't come out the way I expected it. the tattoo took no longer than 10 minutes and it was EXTRA tiny and he expected me to pay $120. like what? I explained to him the tattoo is overpriced, and told him the most ill give him is $100 only because I came to a shop and he's an artist Etc. he had a indirect attitude about it and they didn't acknowkedge me or say have a nice day or anything. I'm only writing this review because I haven't felt the same since I left. I feel very embarrassed and humiliated and feel like I wasted my time and money. i feel like they tolerated me vs actually wanting me there. This the worst tattoo experience I ever had in my life.

I loved being in this shop and was over the moon with my artist. The shop was clean and beautiful. They definitely went out of their way to make it feel cozy. Adrienne my tattoo artist was a doll, she listened to my ideas and created something even more beautiful than what I imagined. I will definitely be coming back here!

I had a great time with my mom, who got her first tattoo, on what was little more than a walk in visit. Dave was funny, nice, and answered all of my mom's questions about the process. She left with a great first tattoo and I got a great new tattoo.

I was just at Spirited Tattooing Coalition and I came away very disappointed. I thought a queer owned tattoo shop would be really friendly, but that was unfortunately not the case. I entered the shop feeling kind of nervous about getting a fairly large tattoo on my upper arm and hoping that the owner and employees would put me at ease. I felt really uncomfortable with the two artists sitting on the right side of the room within a few seconds after entering. They seemed to look me up and down. And then they seemed to share a creepy chuckle at my expense. I found the youngish punky woman especially rude. I think they may have read me as a cisgender woman, but I'm actually a trans woman. The owner didn't help as they came off as unenthusiastic about the two design ideas I showed them, and just unenthusiastic in general. I want the owner Jaz to know that the punky woman artist lost the shop $400-$500 worth of my business. Quite frankly, I found the whole experience at STC really upsetting. It has put a damper on my evening out.

Leta did a great job on my tattoo, which is a chest piece based on an old engraving by Thomas Bewick which graces the bottles and cases of Brawler, a Yards beer. The shop is super relaxed but very professional. Everyone was very friendly. It's a profoundly artistic place run and worked by very normal, approachable people who are flexible, understanding, and highly accommodating -- as well as very honest and professionally trustworthy. I really enjoyed it, and Leta struck me as one of the best artists of any type I've ever had the luck of meeting. I'm looking forward to asking her to help me design a tattoo from the ground up.

For starters, my tattoo is top notch, but I think the most important thing I can say about the experience was how comfortable I felt. As a person with anxiety, going new places and talking to new people and letting a person I just met draw something permanently on my body is *extremely* daunting. However, the shop itself is a very comfortable environment, I felt welcome, and Jas is not only extremely talented but also easy to talk to. So if you are apprehensive at all about tattoo shops, this one deserves real consideration. I will absolutely be going back soon.

Super chill ambiance and very talented artists. Got my first tattoo here and my artist was super nice and assuring. He even did some extra detaling on my design to make it better fit the spot it was going. Definitely coming back!
