I had known about this tattoo parlor for years and I know that it has a good reputation and is popular. I already had 3 tattoos from other places. I promised myself that when I would visit Philadelphia, I would get another tattoo. I am 57 but there is no age limit to getting tattoos. I spoke with one of the staff members to decide on the kind of tattoo that I wanted and where I would place it. I decided on feathers with the word "Angels" to be placed on my left side chest above my heart. The staff member, whose job is to make the sale, told me that I could get one feather only for the quoted price. I thought it was a little steep in price for just one feather. He introduced me to the man who would be my tattoo artist. This man was very kind and understanding. He told me that he would do two feathers. I was grateful. He positioned the stencil where I want it placed. We talked the entire time and it wasn't painful. It was a great experience. The tattoo is wonderful and exactly what I wanted.i highly recommend this shop.

Poor customer service coming from the owner him self . He was slightly racist based on the way he spoke to me .I’m not even black ,I’m Hispanic... even his employees took note of that . I just simply Came to ask for a quote the guy didn’t even let me get a chance to say what I wanted since is my skin ,my body not your sales price . On top of that .... this guy was trying to charge me 3000$ for a forearm tattoo where else where they would charge less and do a better job . And for the record I’m not bitter about this ... this is also part of my job so I hope this helps I’m a certified B2B business reviewer for google and I personally do not recommend coming to this tattoo shop .

I walked into the shop asking about prices for a specific tattoo. I didnt get a straight answer until I sent a picture of the tat to the woman who works there. I wasn’t really looking to get the tat if the price was not reasonable. They didn’t even give me a price until I was looking at paperwork and it was double what the place was down the street. On top of that, as I was having second guesses about getting a tat (as this is my first time) they were speaking very rudely....like I was dumb for second guessing something that would be permanent. I asked to make a phone call real quick to my husband. I decided that I would wait until he was able to be with me to get one and to get a better price. When I told them I would like to wait for another day when my husband could come, the man was very rude, took my paper, ripped it up and shouted I would never get that price again. I’m glad I chose not to get my tat done there and I don’t recommend!

This shop is incredibly clean and fun. It’s rare to find the level of professionalism matched with comfort that you will find at Philadelphia Eddie’s 621. I’ve been to 7 different artists for 16 tattoos and Emil (having done 4 of my tattoos) is easily my favorite artist. I could not reccomend this shop or artist more. If you’re looking for impeccable traditional work Philadelphia Eddie’s is your spot.

Top notch tattoo shop for the city of Philadelphia. As a walk in I was able to get tattooed right away with the design I wanted and I'm more than happy with the tattoo I got. John made a really great tattoo for me at a super reasonable price that I'm so beyond happy with. Also, their shop guy Mike is not only really nice, polite, and inviting but super knowledge about what he's doing. I would absolutely go back in for another tattoo, or if I was looking to get my first. Highly recommended.

Got my first Tattoo from Philly here today on my 30th birthday. It was a terrific experience. They were welcoming, kind, and funny as hell. Clean lines crispy like bacon. I was weary of it being on South Street but it was totally worth it.

This past Tuesday I went to Eddie’s for my first tattoo by Emil. Walking in I was unsure of what I wanted let alone wasn’t sure what to expect. I felt right at home with Emil and Renee who made sure they explained every question I asked and made me feel super comfortable. I am so in love with my ankle tattoo and I’m so much looking forward to returning soon for another piece of art. Thank you so much! Highly recommend and will only come back to them. went to get a tattoo with my aunt- hers came out great for her first- however the guy that i had was a mess- i got two - some script and a small outline of a camera- the outline you can see where he kept stopping its not straight at all and its blown out- the script is even worse the way he did it the letters are to close together its hard to tell what the hell was written it just looks like mush-

Went in to the property to get a new tattoo because I knew they did amazing work on tattoos because of my last one I got form Eddie's. When I arrived there was no waiting, however when I presented the type of tattoo I wanted I was quickly turned away at the door. Never will return to this place again...

My son and I came in here on a whim to get a couple of small tattoos before a concert. My son picked one out and a tall 30s guy (the owner?) was helping him. He quoted a price after my son asked that was higher than we were willing to spend at that time. All my son said was "that's higher than im willing to spend right now" Then the guy helping him went full steroidal high school bully, making fun of my sons dirty glasses, implying he couldn't see, loudly asked him to read the sign behind him saying "Weve been in business since nineteen fifteen whatever!" Whatever all this alpha male preening had to do with deciding on an affordable tattoo is beyond me. Needless to say after that we didnt want this man anywhere near us with a needle. Good luck.

I just had a great experience at the original Philadelphia Eddie's. My tattooer, Frank, was knowledgeable, down to earth, and did an incredible job on a tough body part. Came into the shop as a walk-in after calling the night before and talking with Frank. Being from out of town and this being my first tattoo, both him and the staff made the process seamless. Not only was he able to deliver a great piece, he is also a very personable guy with a lot of experience. At no point did I feel pressured into getting something done, nor was I rushed into making a decision. I'll definitely be back! The picture was taken within 24 hours of completion.

My roommates and I went here today and we had a great experience! I am not sure how pricing works for tattoos but my roommates price went from $250 to $200 and then she tipped $60. The other paid $300 and I forget how much she tipped. Eddie was super cool and the team was super relaxed and put them at a ease before they were gonna get tatted. He’s been doing this for years so he has a lot of experience and I would recommend him. They have walk in appointments which is how we got to go in so quickly.

Shop at 621 is fantastic, professional, and laid back. Charlie was very sweet, funny, and accommodating of our group, made us four young ladies feel comfortable. Great conversation with all 3 guys. Out-of-towners but will be back! Shop at 604 was condescending and deliberately tried to steal our business, knowing our appointment was with the other shop.

I was fortunate enough to win a $350 gift certificate to the shop (courtesy of 93.3 WMMR). Picking an artist was an absolute chore, (compliment). The tattoo Eddie's Instagram page serves as an outstanding portfolio for the shop as a whole. I went with emil.dz.tattoo (on Instagram). Emil was great to talk to, super collaborative. We settled on a basic design and left the color pallet up to him. I could not be more pleased with the result. A Japanese Hanya mask done in the American Traditional style. The red of the mask is deep and bold. Rich golden yellow peaks out from the eyes set in an electric light blue. Skin breaks really help to bring the piece to life. The entire tattoo process for me was not an easy one. From the moment ink met skin it was rough for me despite Emil having a very skilled light hand. The entire time he was patient and worked with me. Helped me keep pushing a few times. I got nothing but kindness and respect and a really really killer tattoo.

For a tattoo that was supposed to be around 75 it turned out to be 140 which is rediculously high. I got two tattoos by someone else for 120 before and they were way larger. Then the one doing my service rushed through and missed filling in spots of color. I also didn’t get the colors that i asked for. They were rude even before we entered the shop and took our money before receiving the service which is unheard of. I will never recommend this place nor revisit this place again.

Had a great walk in experience on a Friday at noon! They were just opening up and a newer artist to the shop who was really cool and down to earth helped me out with no hesitation. I told him my goood friend had passed away earlier in the week. He got right to work, due to the fact I knew what I wanted. He had me in and out in 45 minutes wit a completely perfect tattoo! This place is super dope. I went here once last summer with my boyfriend since he wanted a tattoo, and one of the guys did it right on the spot beautifully. They're professional yet very personable at the same time, which is really cool. I went back in March to get my own, and I am so pleased with it still. It was my first tattoo, but the experience was pleasant and really not all that painful but then again I probably have a high tolerance. Anyway, I was able to pay with my debit card and in cash for the tattoo. GO HERE IF YOU WANT QUALITY SERVICE AND RESULTS :)
