I recently got a couple pieces done/updated here by Maddie (@madnestattoos), and she was fantastic. My work was pretty simple, but she still put thought and effort into figuring out what I was really trying to go for, and sent me sketches a few days before our appointment. Most importantly to me, she spent a lot of time with the stencils making sure that the placement/alignment was perfectly right, which I really appreciated--especially because I couldn't really check for myself. Shop has a really good vibe, and pricing was totally reasonable too. Highly recommended.

She tattooed a gorgeous Phoenix on the back of my arm above the elbow in full color and did such a gorgeous job. She worked with me with conceptualizing exactly what style and colors I wanted, convinced me to do full color (thank God I did) and then transferred it onto skin flawlessly. A year ago, I got a Kanji tattoo in Japan that means "love". When I returned home, I decided that I wanted to extend the tattoo so that it would read "Love, Peace, Happiness". Of course, I didn't have the font that I used in Japan. Krystal was able to look at my pre-existing tattoo and the handwritten words I wanted to add and sketch out the remaining words which match it to a T. Sure, it hurt, but no pain no gain. It's absolutely stunning.

She helped me take my somewhat vague/abstract idea and make it into an actionable design. The shop was clean and I felt comfortable. The other artists there were nice and socialized in a friendly manner while I got my tattoo. Maddie was professional and attentive to whatever needs I had. It took 4 hours, with a few breaks, and the outcome was awesome. I couldn’t be more happy with the whole process especially the finished product. The original art was meant to be the start of a half sleeve. After waiting almost ten years I won’t be waiting that long to go back and have Maddie continue her excellent work! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I had thee best experience here. So I got my forward helix pierced while I was in California. I was so jet leg when I came back to philly I passed out and slept on my new piercing. I woke up to a swollen forward helix I wanted to cry. I googled some shops near me and no one was opened until 12:00 - 1:00 pm. But they opened at 10:00am I was happy! I waited and called and told them what happened and she told me to come in ASAP. I rush over there I was greeted by Krystal she was soooo sweet, kind and gentle with me. The jewelry I had in didn’t have a enough room for swelling so she cleaned my piercing and changed the bar to a longer one. I was so happy that I didn’t have to take out my piercing because of swelling or infection. I would definitely go back there for my next piercing. If you do go ask for Krystal she’s the best!!!

A few days ago I got an ear tattoo done by Krystal! The shop was very clean, professional, and the decor was really beautiful. I felt welcomed immediately by all the tattooists in that day, and got some good conversation in too. When my 17 year old daughter asked for a tattoo as a birthday gift, I was reluctantly hesitant but knew she’d eventually do it on her own, so decided to participate in her adventure. Maddie Harvey seemed to instinctively create the concept we wanted. Her artistic talent and tattooing expertise are obvious; her patient, kind and gentle disposition are enviable. I went in with a friend for a spur of the moment tattoo. I have had this one in mind for quite a while and it has a lot of meaning. I am so pleased beyond words with my tattoo. Krystal was my artist and she was so helpful and worked with me a ton to be able to fit it in my budget. Absolutly amazing atmosphere and super kind staff. I called the shop to see if they could fit us in and I gave them my name and number and Krystal immediately reached out to me. She was patient with us while we figured out exactly how we wanted everything to look, and was fun to work with! We had a great time getting to know her and were so happy with the results.
