In town for a short weekend with the roller derby team. Walked in here for two of us to get some ink and was thoroughly impressed. The shop was incredibly clean, puppy absolutely cute, and artist very friendly. Jess Carr did our work and I was thrilled with his light hand and pleasant conversation! They deserve the five stars! I spent long time looking for someone to do a Marine Corps emblem (EGA) and finally found Toby’s portfolio about a month ago. He does great work. I set up an appointment and this happened yesterday. Thought about going down to Oceanside or Norfolk for someone who does a lot of ‘em and knows what he’s doing. But didn’t want someone bored with doing same thing all time. So for about 15 years I been looking for nonmilitary guy to do it. I think it turned out great. He free-handed it, it, no stencil. If you trust him he’ll do wonders. I took in official seal to show him that, then a couple things I liked and couple things I didn’t like, pointed out what I liked and didn’t like and he combined everything just perfect

I have been here twice and Doug at Tattoo 34 is fantastic! He really does great work. The first tattoo I got from him was a cover-up and, it turned out great! The second is a larger set of flowers which we just did the line work for. It looks so good and I am really excited to get back in a couple weeks to get the shading and coloring done. I’ve been tattooed at several different shops and this place was the first to really impress. The customer service was great and the shop had a chill, unpretentious vibe. Tattoo shops can be kind of elitist and artists treat you like they are gracing you with their presence, but I didn’t get that vibe here. I came in as a walk-in and was tattooed by Kimber who was super nice and I’m so happy with my tattoo.

Walked in on a whim with my 5 year old son. Clean open space shop. Friendly dog Wes Anderson greeted us. Worked with artist Doug. He took my basic idea and created exactly what I was hoping for. They were cool with my son chilling with Wes while I got this buzzed on. Great place with a friendly and professional staff. Talked about my next idea and I look forward to going back. Tobey and Nisha were fantastic. We needed to get in for a double appt in a very short time frame, due to a family tragedy, and they were so kind and managed to fit us in. We gave them an original piece of art, and Tobey did a wonderful job on short notice, putting this ink on two of us. I would very much recommend this shop to anyone looking to get a new tattoo, or add to an old one.
