Miss Mikki has decades of experience and was able to help me with a large arm piece that is much better than I could have imagined it. My beautiful black and grey work was transformed following her sage advice on an old tattoo that needed a refresh/rework. The environment is clean and comfortable-just what I would expect from the quality of work that is produced there. I've had 3 tattoos done there so far. The shop produces solid, clean, classic, and professional tattoos. This is why when my pop turned 70 and wanted his first tattoo, we went to Fortune on Burnside.

what a great shop. I was referred by a friend who'd had a full back piece done by Ms Mikki that is just amazing.. I had some line work done elsewhere but am so glad to have it completed by Mikki. I've had 9 sessions with her and the work is gorgeous. I get so many compliments about it, including getting stopped on the street a few times by random ladies that could be my grandmother (heehee). the color palette is perfect. I'm proud to have this calibre of work/artistry on my arm for the rest of my life. my next question is "what should I have done on my other arm?".

My husband was fortunate enough to be tattooed several times by Stephanie and twice by Miss Mikki. The shop is super clean, well kept, bright, well decorated, and has a great ambiance. Stephanie is easy going, quick to laugh and make jokes, and made my husband (and me) feel comfortable and welcome. Her flash pieces are awesome and my husband is stoked to have gotten several from her. Miss Mikki is an amazing artist, has a wealth of experience, and has such a warm and positive vibe. Her portrait work is outstanding and she captured our daughter's expression and personality so well! My husband was always (and still is) really proud of the pieces each lady did on him, and he's looking forward to making more appointments with them in the future.

There is no one better than Ms Mikki! She has done numerous tattoos on me, including a breathtaking chest piece of a skull butterfly, and a gorgeous belt of peonies around my waist (in progress) which cover up the not-so-lovely stretch marks I got from my daughter. Mikki's work ethic and creative abilities are unmatched. I can tell her my ideas and let her run with it, and am always impressed and happy! Also, while she has done very large pieces on me, they have never scabbed or chunked up, heal very easily, and have not required touching up.

Had a pretty bad experience here. Came in with a simple idea and it was one of my first tattoos so some of the fault lies with me here. But I wouldn't recommend this place if you are not used to pushing for what you want in a tattoo. I had an idea for a tattoo came in and it looked like the artist sketched it in two minutes pretty carelessly to be honest. I get that it was a smaller piece and sometimes artists don't take those as seriously but I had some issues with it when it was stuck on my body but she told me we could fill it in and make it better if I wanted later. The lines weren't really straight after the outline was traced out so the trust was lost a bit. I figured I'd take my chances somewhere else for a cover up and ended up being really happy I went down that route. I hate to write anything bad about an artist and I'd hope my experience was a one time thing but it was pretty bad. I wouldn't want someone else seeking a smaller piece to have to have something on their body they weren't happy with for awhile. The place was really clean and they did a good job with aftercare instructions and all that and the artist was nice enough besides brushing aside my suggestions. I just didn't feel like the artist took it seriously that she was putting something permanent on my body because it was a simpler piece. And again, if I had been a little bit more experienced with getting tattoos and understood the process more, I would have asked for another sketch or walked out, so not putting all the fault on her here.

i love this shop! a very comfortable place to get work done by really great and fun artists. i've gotten several pieces by Stephanie who is always up for doing whatever crazy idea i have in mind and the results are always awesome! Mikki has done my fingers and a color piece on my thigh that turned out beautifully and is currently working on black and grey portraits on my backpiece that have come out excellent. spending time at this shop is one of my favorite pastimes!

I was originally apprehensive about getting a few of my faded, 30 year old punk rock tattoos fixed up, but thanks to the highly professional and talented artistry of Mikki Colmus, my old tattoos now look like brand new ink!!
