The Friday the 13th line was a long wait, but they explicitly tell you that on their event page, that if you’re there early, the sooner you’ll be seen and that the wait gets much longer as it gets later, because there are SO MANY people waiting to get in, with only a few artists. I don’t understand why people were so mad about this. The staff was sweet and friendly, they tried their best to accommodate, even let people be on the early list for the next afternoon for first dibs once they had to cut off for the night. It was well worth it the wait. I believe Lyle did mine, he was fast and did clean lines, even after being there since they opened doing tat after tat, back hurting and sore all over, he was kind and wonderful. It would be nice to see customers give the same amount of consideration and empathy that the staff gave.

I have been a customer of American Ink since they opened. I’ve always had a great experience with Boogy and love all the tattoos he has done for me! Last night, Lyle (Ripper) did a tattoo for me that was very special to me because my son made it for me. Lyle was awesome...he took the time and concern to make sure I loved everything about it. He wanted to make sure my son would love it too! Thank you Lyle! Even though the shop was really busy with a Friday the 13th special going on (and some customers not being very nice), Lyle and all the artists were awesome taking care of everyone to make sure they loved their tattoos! Please remember when people leave google reviews...they are not reviewing their own behavior. The shop is awesome with caring people and awesome artists!

My best friend and I came in last minute requesting if any walkins for line work tattoo were available. We had a lot of free time, and saw a few others in the shop. OB said he’d definitely have the time, after the two customers, in roughly an hour if we’d be okay coming back then. That was perfect for us, we grabbed dinner and headed back. Had the whole shop to ourselves!! My friend got some planets that are now very unique to her because OB put a great twist to her idea. It came out great, and we didn’t feel rushed what so ever. I got some waves with a shark fin sticking out since I’m from Florida. I was in between getting color or simply going with black line work. We started with the line work and I proceeded to choose color. I definitely enjoy this tattoo. OB has talent and he knows it. I’m so glad we came into this shop. It was a great experience all around. One of the few shops open on a Sunday and late into the evening. Thank you for having such love for your trade and your coworkers. Your enthusiasm really shines when you share.

The lack of communication between the entire staff is out of control. LISA has the worst attitude and has no idea what customer service is. She is aggressive and abrasive when talking to people. This establishments lack of people skills and argumentive behavior is overwhelming and also overshadows any and all talent that the artists actually have.

LAURA TANKERSLEY is absolutely an amazing TaTToo Artist @ laying down her ink!! Its A priority of hers to keep her work space and tools very safe && sanitary!! The Shop is rlly chill- layed back atmosphere! Let her draw you up something custom with just A few thoughts && or bring in A few pics to give her an idea of what your wanting && watch as A masterpiece comes to Life right before your eyes!! You can come back for as many diff sessions need be to accommodate your hours or payments. Shes also really good at helping you fix or cover up all together, old unwanted TaTToos.. so well you would have never known it was ever there! Not only tht..but shes just an overall great person!! She is more than fair with pricing but let's all not forget TIPs are very much appreciated && you rlly should =]] PS..for yall out there like myself, I can take pain but getting A TaTToo is always going to be A little uncomfortable to me..so just give Laura A heads up about A week prior && for about $60 extra, she can order you in some, "numbing spray" -- bc WHY NOT LOLL... it rlly works!!

The OKC TATTOO EXPO is tomorrow so I know everyone was trying to pack up and get out of here. Very grateful for these flawless tattoos tonight!! Will be back, no doubt!

I went into this shop for the Friday the 13th event. I came on Friday afternoon and after about 5 hours I had to leave to go to a movie so I came back Saturday morning first thing to get back on the wait list and was able to get in after a few hours. I am so impressed with this shop and their staff. I want to start off by saying that this shop is great! Everyone was kind and I never felt uncomfortable. The owner (Lisa) was so sweet and kind. She genuinely cares about the clients who walk through her door. This shop held a two day long flash sheet special and not once did I see her blow up on anyone. It was so chaotic I honestly hope she knows she did an amazing job. She was answering phones, calling people on the wait list, prepping and filling out paperwork, scanning IDs, etc all while taking care of typical everyday shop duties. She was amazing! Now for my tattoo artist. I was assigned to OB. He was absolutely fantastic! The design I chose was drawn by him so I was very excited to have the original artist tattoo me. He was so great! I honestly couldn't be happier with his work. He had been tattooing for two days straight and you couldn't even tell. He didn't seem tired or anything! He has such a happy personality and he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. He lets you know what he's doing as he goes. He isn't one of those "too cool to talk to you" type tattoo artists. I absolutely loved him and would be ecstatic to return to him for any of my future tattoos. I highly recommend this shop and this tattoo artist. You won't regret it!

11/10, would give this 6 or 7 or maybe 10 stars if I could. Great environment, with friendly staff. Great people, none of them are the usual stuck up "artist" that's too good to talk to you. It's not just business, there's concern and passion here. Great prices and great quality. OB is the man! He makes you feel at home and welcome. Give that man your money and you will have some great art with amazing detail to be proud of. He's there to express his trade and art, not make money.

So I had a good experience here. Kevin did a good job on my tattoo everyone was nice from the time I made my appointment to me leaving after I got it. Kevin also talked to me afterwards when I had a couple concerns. Now the part I don't appreciate. While I was getting my tattoo he said you will need to come back for a touch up. Ok no big deal. A month later I contacted him on fb messenger (we were friends on FB.) He told me he was booked every time I tried to get the touch up. Even though he would post about having openings. I got a pink Floyd tattoo. I posted on my wall a picture of my rainbow showing how it is fading. He said nothing and instead deleted me from FB. So I'm done waiting my time and find another good tattoo artist that will do the touch up work for me.
