This place is awesome. Too many tattoo shops exist solely to take your money and vomit out mediocre tattoos, but the artists here really care about their work and customer satisfaction. Looking through the different portfolios, I was really impressed and I'm even more impressed by the work I got done. I got a tattoo in a fairly difficult spot but it turned out amazing. I get compliments on it almost every day and I send anyone interested to this shop. On a side note, everyone was polite, the place was very clean and my tattoo artist came in on his day off to fit me in the schedule. Couldn't be happier with my experience.

The owner is absolutely amazing. He talked me through everything, pointed me in the direction of the artist that would be best for what I wanted done. Every artist is extremely talented and professional. I have two tattoos done by Jaime and they are even better than what I had envisioned. GROSSLY OVERPRICED I made the mistake of not getting a quote before hand. As a result I was grossly overcharged. My son & I went in for small semi matching tattoos. Both of these tattoos are barely over 3 inches in length & each took less than 20 minutes to do. One says “I love you mamma”, the other says, “ I love you more”. I was charged $100 a piece. I tried to discuss it with the artist after, & I was directed to “the boss”, Chad Peloton. He told me each artist sets their own price, yet Lazlow directed me to take it up with “the boss”. I recommend that you take your business elsewhere. There are many professional & reasonably priced tattoo artists in the OKC area that aren’t out to take advantage of anyone.

Was super excited to get some more ink done. Made the appointment. Even paid for the hour up front. Artist didn't have the courtesy to show up on time. I'm sure Laszlo is an excellent artist. He has a great portfolio. I also understand stuff happens, but you can't keep a client waiting for 30 minutes. To their credit they refunded my money. I'll be headed back to Curtis at Cannibal. Edit: Laszlo called me and we worked out something. He does incredible work. Super happy with my new ink. Dude just had a bad day.

I am 59 years old and have several tattoos. I thought I would get a new one and was referred to Altered Images. I was fortunately booked with Joe. I brought a simple flash with me. Joe took that simple flash and turned it into a work of art. I am involved in both the biker and pit bull communities. I am going to recommend Joe to everyone I see. Chad Pelland is seriously a master at tattooing. I have wanted a floral half sleeve for years, but could never find an artist to match the color intensity that I wanted. Chad did the flowers even better than I could have expected. I have gotten countless compliments and people asking for the name of my artist. I have never seen anything like what I have and he works really fast. We are close to finishing up, but I already have many other ideas that I can't wait to start on with him. Had my first tattoo done here by Jamie, traveled around for work and had several of my other tattoos done at other shops. Since moving back to OKC I have had more work done by Jamie and he is by far one of the most talented artists that I've had ink done by. The shop is always clean and all the staff is very friendly. Jamie always shoots your straight and wants you to enjoy your tattoo and for it to look great for years. I have recommended him and Altered Images to all my friends. My brother also gets his work done by Jamie, can't say enough good things about him or the shop. If anyone who reads this is looking for a serious tattoo artist who plans on repeat business, check this place out. Personally all the other tattoo shops in the Metro are either not professional or way overrated.

It was my first time ever getting a tattoo, so I was quite nervous. My friend and I went in late on a Monday to talk over the pricing and details with the tattoo artists. Tyler helped my friend and I out and he was so sweet. He was more on the quiet side, but personally I liked that so there's no pressure for conversation because I can be socially awkward sometimes. They scheduled us very quick, for the following Wednesday! When we got there, he ensured our designs were fit for perfection. He photoshopped mine to ensure the lettering was spaced out enough and he ensured we liked the placement. My friend went first and we had good conversations. Anytime I said anything about being nervous he would reassure me that mine would be quick, since it was simple lettering. When it was my turn, I kept twitching because of the needle and nerves and he reassured me it was okay and that I was doing great, which I really appreciated because it calmed me down. All in all pricing was amazing for what you get, quality is amazing, and the service/friendliness is amazing. I highly recommend them. The store is super clean and so are the workers with their equipment. They take their time and I did not feel rushed or panicked at all. They notify you of all the aftercare and anything you would want to know about tattoos and the before and afters. It was the best first tattoo experience I could've asked. I would definitely go back again!

Had an appt with Joe. Wanted a custom piece across my upper chest. He drew it out no problem and ensured it fit just the way I wanted. Had to make minor adjustments based on his recommendation and it worked out great. Just based on 2-3 photos i brought in he came up with a design that far exceeded my expectations. Very professional artist, the shop was clean and friendly would highly recommend if you are in the OKC area and looking for high end artists with amazing talent! Will use them for my next tattoo without a doubt.

I got my second tattoo, my first large one, this past Friday from Chad Pelland. It was an amazing experience! He took my idea and concept photos and created a true work of art far more amazing than I imagined. Everyone at the shop is super friendly and answered all my questions prior booking my appointment via phone calls and email, several more phone calls in the weeks leading up to my appointment and during the tattooing process. Amazing first experience getting a tattoo. My artist was Lazlo who is more of a quiet guy which was fine. Was able to make me feel comfortable with the tattoo i chose. The staff was really friendly and cool. The pricing for the tattoo was expensive but worth every penny with how high quality the work was. Would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend and am already planning on going back for more.

Got a butcher job that will take hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to cover or laser off. I submitted my artwork three times, up to two weeks in advance, yet my artist didn’t even bother to look at it. He was annoyed at trying to freehand something, with the result not resembling anything I wanted. (Or anyone would ever want) There was so much smeared marker I couldn’t truly see what was there, and upon removing the plastic hours later am embarrassed to even let anyone see it. I feel like some in there have lost concern over how they will ultimately modify someone’s body in a permanent way, and that kind of complacency in the hands of a tattoo artist is dangerous.

I went in with a simple idea of a 50s style sailor tattoo of a wolf. An artist said the artist who specializes in that would be here in 15 min for his appointment. And he was 15 minutes late and I showed him the one I wanted and he said this is the one I would do and I said I didn't not like that and then he proceeded to called my idea "A 50cent stick on tattoo for a 12 year old" and I walked out of the door

This is definitely a grown-folks shop: Clean, classy, professional, and relaxed. I was tattooed by Joe Salois today and let me tell you, Joe is where it's at! I haven't had a tattoo done in over 20 years and when I came to him with the basics of what I wanted, he executed it perfectly. I probably sounded like a babbling idiot as I explained the tattoo that I wanted to honor my son that passed away, as it's an emotional subject. Joe didn't miss a beat and certainly didn't make me feel stupid for not being more specific. I started going to Altered Images for my tattoo work in September 2013. At that point I had only one tattoo, and hated the way that it turned out and wasn't impressed with the artist that I worked with. I was a walk-in customer and was set up with Joe Salois. He was new to the shop and to the area, so I was nervous about how it would turn out. I had absolutely NO reason to be nervous! Joe did an amazing job and I am so happy with the work that he's done for me. Since September, I have returned to see him an additional 4 times (5 tattoos done by him total) and each time I am 100% happy with the finished product. I recommend him to anyone that asks for a good artist, and I would recommend Altered Images to everyone as well.
