I got both daith piercings done with Chuck last year. Chuck was very clean and professional. I am a nurse so cleanliness was a big thing for me as well as the quality of metals used for piercings. I’ve never gotten a piercing before and he was good at explaining everything and making me feel comfortable with the process. He helped me pick my jewelry, a hoop on one side and a bar on the other. The reason I’m giving 3 stars instead of 5 is that when picking the jewelry, he did not pick a bar with extra length to allow for swelling. I took care of the piercing as instructed, but even with good after care, swelling is expected from the initial trauma. Then, 2-3 days after, I was in so much pain that I couldn’t do anything. Pain killers did nothing. I went back to Dead Rockstar and Chuck wasn’t there to look at my ear, so this other woman did (she’s not a professional piercer but had several piercings). She said everything looked fine and that this was expected and told me to ride it out. I went home in tears from the pain before deciding that night to go to a different piercer to get it looked at. They told me the bar selected was too small to allow the expected swelling. They helped me pick different jewelry and change it out, which as you can imagine was extraordinarily painful at this point. After changing the jewelry and continuing to load up on ibuprofen, I felt a huge relief from the pain.

About six months ago I had a piercing done and the lady was very friendly. She was easy to make conversation with, which made the experience much less scary.(Great experience!) I recently had a tattoo done here. The person that did my tattoo was not very friendly. When my tattoo was finished it didn't seem like the details were proportioned like I had in the drawing and some of the lines were not clean. The bandage that was put on my tattoo didn't even cover the whole tattoo.

I have always had great experiences here with everyone! However on my recent tattoo touch up my artist Candy was a little on the rude side. I told her I went swimming after I got my tattoo and she was very short with me about how she’s surprised I didn’t lose a toe and she doesn’t know why people don’t take tattoos seriously. I had no idea there was a chance of getting a major infection and losing a toe because none of their after care says anything about it. It just states not to go swimming. Please elaborate on your aftercare forms or don’t be rude to me. I still love this place, I will probably never go back to candy though after the way she condescended me like a child when I was never given that information in the first place.

Their jewelry is quality and has never loosened up since he tightened it which is incredible. I took my new piercing out for surgery recently and it stayed open due to how well it had healed. Amending my review a bit. Chuck D is incredibly professional and makes you feel very comfortable when he is piercing you. However, I have to dock a star because the jewelry he gave me was initially too small and pulled a little bit at the piercing. I've recently had him replace the jewelry with a larger diameter ring which should help, and he gave me the ring for free as he acknowledged that the initial jewelry was a little small. I would recommend getting pierced here, just be aware that you may want to request slightly larger jewelry than what is initially recommended to account for swelling and other tightness. Edit: Adding a star because I switched to a lower guage again and it seems to fit me a little better while I'm healing. It seems that piercing isn't really an exact science. You'll be taken care of here.

I have gone there twice now for piercings, and I have to say Chuck is awesome! I had Courtney change one of my piercings when I needed a longer barbell while it was healing, and she was good as well! They didn't charge me for changing the jewelry or for the new barbell since I had gone there to get it pierced just a couple weeks before. Very good service! I only gave 4 stars though, because I got 2 barbells for my tongue there. 1 lasted almost a year, and then the ball wouldn't screw on properly and I ended up swallowing it. So I put in the other one I got from there, which I had never worn before. By day 8 of wearing it, it was doing the same thing, the ball wouldn't screw on properly and would just fall out. I don't know what the problem was, but I've never had an issue with any others I've put in from other places. Needless to say I'm a little wary of getting another one that looks like those from them. I have never had that issue with the jewelry they put in when they pierce me, so I am not sure what the problem was!

Great place. Got my nose pierced last year. Everyone seems like they know what they are talking about. When I got my nose done, it started bleeding like crazy and I started to worry. The lady calmed me down and handled everything awesome. She cleaned me up and I went on my way. Very pleased with Dead Rockstars.

The staff is so helpful and do what they can to help you understand your procedure. They also talk to you on almost a personal level and they know and remember everyone they've helped. Feeling pretty let down, I went to Deadrockstar to have some pretty ugly scars covered up on my arm! The tattoo ended up getting infected on one area due to the artist going to deep into the skin then taking out the lid he had thrown away back out of the garbage, before he finished shading the rest of my tattoo! I ended up taking antibiotics for a week. I went and spoke to both owner's about this issue. Ofcourse Blaine denied doing such a thing, then they brough up the fact I am a boarder line diabetic. I let them know I was cleared by my physician to get this tattoo, my a1c was at a 5.3 blood sugars are stable and had been for 12 months. It was not caused by diabetes! If that was the case the entire tattoo would be infected. It was only infected where he went too deep into my skin. The tattoo was sloppy in area's, wasn't colored in, in several area's. After it healed I made an appointment for it to be touched up, it needed touching up in several areas and they knew it did. Josh told me he would touch up the red and blue area's as they are not bold like they should be, the red looks pinkish

After a horrible piercing experience at an "almost" piercing shop, I did my research and decided on Dead Rockstar. Chuck did my lip and nose. The difference in the entire experience was AMAZING!
