I don’t usually post things, But in light of recent news, I feel like this needs to be said. The place is trash. I got 1 tattoo here, I would never go back and would not recommend. They seem nice enough, but they display a lack of experience. My tattoo artist was very heavy handed. The tattoo that I got was clearly overworked and now has raised areas. (Thanks for that.)But there was no way in hell that I would have ever gone back for them to “fix” this. All in all just save your money. Or better yet, just go to artistic pursuit. They actually know what they are doing and would never be so immature as to play into a feud that they were having with an unsatisfied customer. Very unprofessional. And let’s be completely honest here... the lack of experience and professionalism really shows when you can’t even maturely handle an unsatisfied customer without putting the feud on blast on Facebook. The customer has every right to state their opinion, the business on the other hand should not be calling any unsatisfied customers a “troll infestation.” Just a sad scene. In response to the owner... Yes! It is very awesome that we share the same name!! Surprised that you noticed, seeing as how you can’t seem to see that your shop and attitude suck. As for your very generous “shop policy” offer to “fix” my work... I’m gonna have to take a hard pass on that one. Although I do appreciate your “shop policy”, I would just as soon not have you people effing up my skin yet again. But thanks for the offer. And also, I noticed you’ve turned your reviews off on Facebook. That’s cute.

I have never had a better experience... Not only was our artist Will exceptionally nice, funny and informative, but he was able to take my sister and I as walk ins. He was fast and the tattoos are amazing and decently priced. Would absolutely come back for my next ink!

My husband has been wanting to get our youngest son's name on him. It was put on his chest and we expected it to hurt a little due to being right in the center. Artist Eric Ray at Devotions has done extensive tattoo work for me. He is an outstanding artist and has a pleasant attitude. I will definitely go back for more work as I am thrilled and amazed by his abilities. His designs, colors and details are incredible. I have recommended Eric to many others and will continue to do so. Kevin is terrific at piercing. He carefully re-pierced my bellybutton after a piercing from many years ago left a scar. I am quite pleased with the result.

Went here for a tragus and rook piercing. Well I only got the tragus piercing bc the piercer “wasn’t in the mood the do the rook piercing.” First off I noticed when I got home, he pierced my tragus with a nose ring, paying $35 and it fell out in a few days bc the nose ring isn’t made for a tragus piercing. Very Unprofessional.

I left one star because there was not an option for zero. I have tried to buy and order items from this "piercing shop" and I have never been able to get a dam thing. I've even left my number at times. Seems as though my business was not needed? So here is the BEST part...I've had my ears gauged for yearsssss! I've gotten many, many compliments over the years on my piercings originally done at "Sadu" in Charlotte (my suggestion is go there, anywhere but here really). I attempted to give this place one more chance because, I live in the vicinity now. I go in to stretch up a size and an acrylic taper was used to stretch my ears, because of the lack of proper tools. I was also asked to participate in my own ear stretching. Yes, I repeat, I was asked to complete my own piercing, because the young lady could not finish once the taper was in my ear. I wasn't even offered gloves or a hand-wash. My ears were so f'ing angry and it is just now 3 or 4 months later, that I can even talk about it., After over 12 years of pretty healthy ears, mine are severely damaged. One ear doesn't hold a tunnel and has scarred tissue that I'm praying will heal. I tried to talk to someone there and they acted like their horrible mistake with my body was a bother. I have been researching how to report the situation and these practices to the appropriate agency and/or organization. When I get time I will be writing the BBB and Consumer affairs where applicable. No one should have their body torn up and then be treated like the whole ordeal is of little importance. HEED MY WARNING....DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT TRUST THIS "SHOP" WITH YOUR BODY!!!

I went to Devotion Tattoo on March 28th to get my first tattoo. It was an Infant Loss Awareness ribbon in honor of my first three babies who died. I showed Eric the design, after he drew it out I went to check it against the design I had. I was told to put my phone down, that it was my tattoo, and I didn't need to look at the other. I wish I had not let me nerves get the best of me, and double checked anyways. My ribbon was done backwards, so it was not correct. I am left with a ribbon that serves no real purpose. I went to another tattoo shop, to get another tattoo, and was asked many times to make sure the design was what I wanted. I am extremely disappointed.

Came in for a consultation. A girl was in there for a piercing and she passed out. A tattoo artist named Scott counted down from 10 like it was a boxing match to see if she would get back up. You don’t embarrass a customer in front of customers. Very unprofessional.

I went there to get my son's name put on my arm. I shouldn't have went on a Sunday! Im guessing the worst is there on Sunday. Eric was the guy who did the tattoo. Once done I explained I didn't like the way the first letter looked like in my son's name which is a D and it looked like a O. Anyways after asking him to fix it he said it will have to heal, ok I have tons of tattoos so I know the process. After talking to him a week later, he said come back on a Sunday between 3 and 4. Today was the Sunday I was going to go back at 4 after him telling me that was good. Well I contacted him and he said come at 3, and this was at 2:40, so no way to make it by then. I asked about coming around 5. He proceeded to get a attitude and was trying to blow it off. So I decided not to go and would rather pay a real tattooist that stands behind their work unlike this guy. I wont say their all bad there because I don't know the others, but Eric is not that good, and wont stand behind his own work? Ill never go back there. To the owners response.... it wasn't the I want it now attitude and I got mad about it, its Eric got the attitude when I was simply trying to schedule getting the tattoo fixed. And for you to assume and not wont to know or understand the whole situation just shows what kinda place your running. So shake your head to that!

I went in to get a different option on my piercings, because mine weren't done entirely correct. I've had these piercings for about 8 months and no major problems. Started acting like they were trying to get an infection. Went in got cussed at, insulted, called stupid. (And degraded in my option.) The guy was talking with a group about something and told me he wasn't leaving them, so I had to show my piercing to a group of strangers. Insulted me some more and then said nothing was wrong. I then turned around and went to another tattoo shop, friends with the owner, that was an hour away. He checked me out and actually helped me. I have only read good things about this place, I was really surprised and shocked when I walked in and was cussed at. I don't think I'll be coming back. Sorry.

Wow. The responses from the owner are really not helping his case any, in my opinion. I’ve never seen an owner lash out and attack every unsatisfied customer. You’re going to have unsatisfied customers, how you handle these situations speaks volumes! Usually they try to do something to help ease the discomfort of being unsatisfied with your experience, Not attack you. But hey, I guess if that’s what he thinks will get him business.

I recently had a piercing done in which the piercer used the incorrect bar length and it began to swell over the ball of the jewelry and become irritated. I did not have the piercing performed at this shop. However, I called this shop to see if I could come in and purchase a longer bar and have it changed out. The guy who answered was very rude to me. He informed me that when I arrived he would be lecturing me on it. As well as telling me that since I was old enough to make a bad decision (as in picking a person to pierce me), that I was old enough to make a good decision (coming in to their shop to correct it). He said these comments with a very disrespectful attitude. I was highly dissatisfied with my brief experience with this employee, and will not be calling them or going to them for any future events.

The atmosphere was really calm here but I still don't think I would recommend it to anyone getting their first tattoo. I can't remember the name of the tattoo artist I had but he was very rude. When I told him the tattoo he sketched out was a lot different than the picture I had given him he told me that I was being indecisive and that I was getting to be a "pain in his ass." I told him that I didn't want anything different; that I wanted exactly what I gave him and I ended up getting his own remake of what I wanted.... also needing to go back for some touch ups but probably won't go there. I would not recommend this tatto place to anyone who cares about specifics in their tattoos.

Literally had the BEST experience here! For it being my first tattoo, it was so easy and fun. Scott was patient, friendly, funny, and made sure the tattoo was everything I wanted before starting it! He also made sure I understood everything about the tattoo process and was constantly checking on me during the tattoo to make sure I was still doing good. The place was super clean and everything was super sanitary. These other reviews about the shop are complete bogus. Would highly recommend Scott to anyone and everyone looking to get a new tattoo! Well I usually dont post negative reviews but.... I went and had my septum pierced for the first time on 6/25/18 I was so excited to get it. Well I had it done it hurt alot lol... next day I was cleaning it and it almost fell out so I went to another place to see if they could put something other than a retainer in, she said it was way to low and he pierced the cartilage so sure enough I HAD TO TAKE IT OUT. 40 $ + 5$ tip out the window. Will never go back again and will not recommend it to anyone EVER.

I would actually give this a 3.5 star rating if I could. I came here with my sister to get her eyebrow pierced, the staff was very friendly and helpful. My main complaint with the place was the seating they had my sister sit in to get pierced. I do believe places should have chairs with a back to them especially if you are piercing people. My sister passed out for a second and fell off the seat and I think it would have been prevented if she could have sat back. The staff was really great to us though and of course my sister is fine! The piercer caught her before she hit the floor. If they got some better seating in the building this would be a 5 star review.

I had a bad experience with this place a few years ago. I'm hoping by speaking up I can save someone else the heartache. I went in for a belly button piercing. I followed their aftercare advice to a T. My bellybutton stayed irritated and infected. Eventually my body rejected it and pushed it out to the surface. I went to another piercer later on and had it redone. I had no issues after that. I used the same aftercarethat I did when I had it pierced at devotions. But this time I had no irritation and it healed perfectly. I also had an ex go here. He ended up having to go elsewhere to have his tattoo fixed after they boched it all up. :/

The shop is fantastic and great atmosphere. Devotion and Miguel is the only place that I will be getting any and all additional work. I love this place.

My sister and I went in to get our septum pierced just walked in with no appointment was able to get them done with no problems nobody had an attitude it was late in the evening there was 2 tattoos in front of us which I didn't mind waiting one bit because like I said we walked in. It was a great atmosphere very chill and layed back loved the guy Rob who did the piercings he had great attitude and was able to take the edge off and ease the nervousness with great conversation thru the process the clamps were a pain but the piercing itself was painless. I had such a great experience I went back in a few days later to get my nose repierced and had once again another great experience. I give you guys a big 5 star rating and will be coming back soon for my much wanted snake eye piercing. Keep up the good work :)

went in here a couple of days ago to get my daith pierced. i’d heard mostly negative things about this shop but i figured i’d give it a shot. the guy who i talked to was pretty nice but he obviously wasn’t completely sure as to what he was talking about. when i told him i wanted my daith he said for me to point out myself where i wanted it and it caught me off guard because he should know where the daith is, right? after showing him he continually kept sticking a pencil in my ear (which kinda grossed me out) and he said could pierce it but in his opinion piercing my daith wouldn’t be a good idea because it was shaped weird and all but turned me away. went to another shop in morganton directly after, guy took one look at it and said no problem. he pierced it easily, and it hasn’t given me any problems.

I have gotten many tattoos and piercing here and today I decided I wanted a piercing I'm omw there 20 min till close even call for a heads up and the guy who answered the phone told me they closed at 8 and the piercer had left basically telling me they were closed I ride by 2min after my phone call and there are 4 cars in the parking lot . not to mention the tattoo work I had done there was a bit over worked but allowed them to continue piercing me
