I have had gotten pierced twice at Village Tattoo, most recently I had my septum pierced by Yolanda. I had a great experience the first time I had gotten a piercing here, and my last experience was just as great. I came in without an appointment, and there was no wait. I was on crutches, and all of the staff was very kind and helpful. They made sure I was safely up and down the stairs, and gave me a place to sit while I received my aftercare instructions and paid. I also had a friend with me, and he was able to sit comfortably downstairs with me while I got my piercing. Yolanda was so kind. She walked me through every step of the piercing, made sure to show me all of the tools that would be used, made sure to show me that they were sterilized and new, and on top of that she was lovely to talk to. I was given clear and easy to follow aftercare instructions, and was given the option to purchase aftercare products when I checked out. I will certainly be back for another piercing, and have recommended the shop to several of my friends. If you are looking for a great place to get pierced, and for a great price, look no further.

Got my 1st tattoo done by Jimmy, a smaller piece on my wrist. He's super light-handed and the tattoo turned out beautifully. Had such a great experience, I came back to get a second larger piece done on my back. There's nothing more awkward than having to stand mostly shirtless in front of someone you've just met but, Chris was extremely respectful and polite about it and I felt quite comfortable. His work is also phenomenal and he's very efficient. Mark, the owner(?)/front desk guy is very helpful with recommendations and tips. For all future tattoos, this is the place to go and definitely ask for either Jimmy or Chris. Thanks guys!

I am over the moon! I just got my 3rd (and 4th) tattoos here last night and they're just perfect. Chris has been doing my tattoos since my first one last year, and he is wonderful. He's polite, he listens, and he really goes out of his way to make you feel super comfortable. Not to mention that he's worked on my last two designs for me, and made them into so much more than I ever imagined in my head (for free, too! No deposit, no consultations needed!) I don't know how he manages to make the tattoo look a million times better on me than in the sketch, but he does. It's crazy. And the Manager Mark is super nice and welcoming, as are pretty much everyone else who works there. It feels like a little family, which is cool. Highly recommended! I'll only be going there!

I went in to change my nose piercing from a stud to a hoop (after 4 months of having it pierced)..in trying to get the hoop in, yolanda, jammed the new piercing through my nose thinking she was putting it in the piercing hole. After 4 months of carefully caring for my piercing, all of my caution went to waste as this “professional” scarred my nose by not taking appropriate measures to see where exactly the piercing hole was. On top of that, I was charged 65 dollars for the hoop. SAVE YOUR FACE & SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Very professional artists, not to mention very friendly. My wife did a tattoo on her arm and I didn't hear any complaints of the pain. It's now a week past that and she got healed very fast. They make sure you know how to take care of your tattoo before they let you go. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to get a tattoo in NYC.

Almost 2 weeks in now and my nostril piercing is in perfect shape. The titanium worked! I've been following Byriah's cleaning instructions, and the piercing is giving me no trouble at all. It feels healed, though I know it isn't yet. If I decide to get other piercings, now that I know which metal to use, Byriah will be the only one I will see!

This place is incredible! The atmosphere was wonderful, very comforting and understanding. I was late and it was not a problem. I don't live in NYC so it was pretty stressful and they put me at ease. I got two small tattoos done by Chris, and they turned out exactly as I wanted. It was $140 and took about an hour, including wait time. They offered me and my cousins candy, which was nice. The room is small and comfortable. Chris was amazing. He wa every nice, very respectful, and very helpful. If I'm ever in NYC again I'm definitely coming back!

This place is really great. My guy Mark answered my phone call and let me make an appointment just an hour in advance, was super friendly when I arrived, and set me up with a dope artist (Chris) who did a great job for me with the tattoo I wanted. Had some friendly conversation with the guys behind the counter as well. The vibe was laid back and friendly -- I felt at ease as soon as I stepped in the door. I made the initial decision to come to this location for ink because of the high volume of really good reviews, and the experience met + exceeded expectations. I'll be coming back again for my next piece.

Stopped in for some cartilage jewelry but unfortunately, they didn't have much of a selection. The man at the front counter wasn't particularly friendly and just kind of pushed a tray of jewelry options at me after I asked if they had any BVLA or Body Gems jewelry (they do not). I can't speak to their tattoo work, but the shop did seem to be rather busy when I was there for walk-ins. Ended up heading to Elite Jewelry a short walk away who had exactly what I was looking for.

I've gotten an industrial piercing here last Friday which would be 3/1/19 as of now. Everything was fast and easy. The piercer himself, I wish I got his name, had a good sense of humor. He seemed to know what he was doing and when he looked at my ears he explained to me why either or would be better or me, and explained to me the process and made sure to me that everything was sterile. It was professional, and I'd be more than glad to come here again for future piercings. Update: I said I'd come here for future piercings and I have. Gotten my tongue, conch, and rook done. Again professional service. While I have a piercing addiction I can't recommend these guys enough.
