The Guy at the front desk was friendly, however the piercer was not what I had expected. I got a tragus piercing. The piercing was horrible. I’ve gotten piercings before and no warning was given as to when she would put the needle through. Usually they tell me to take a deep breath, but nope she forced it through and jammed the jewelry in. Then one of them had gotten stuck and she paused then twisted it for what felt like hours to force it through. Can you imagine how even more painful that was? Excessive bleeding on one ear that I had to press tissue against to prevent it from dripping. Never had that before with other piercings. Not less than a couple hrs later when I got home to clean it, the jewelry fell out. It clearly wasn’t placed tight enough. I’m disappointed because I had gone here before for my other piercings in the past. Different piercer, though. Yet I still definitely won’t go back.

Got a double nose piercing here a couple weeks ago. Horrible job!!!!! Didn’t notice how bad my piercings looked until I replaced the studs they gave me with hoops. The piercings aren’t even in a straight line. I’m so pissed! You’re better off spending your money somewhere where they know what they’re doing!

Clean, well maintained, fair prices and haven’t been disappointed by any of their artists, yet. Open late-late night too, so that’s a huge plus.

Dirty, gross, and over priced. Got forward helix piercing done here. Piercer didn’t wash his hands, didn’t clean my ear before or after, and guy at front desk just handed me my jewelry and dismissed me to the back where I waited 20 min with no communication. Would have left but I knew I wasn’t getting a refund. It’s been 5 days and I’m still in pain with a piercing that should have been close to painless.

The environment was very rude. The tattoo artist did not speak english and no one working in the shop could translate for the artist. The artist was very impatient, and got angry when asked to reposition the placement of the tattoo before beginning. His work was good, but the experience was poor.

Awesome experience and incredible tattoo! I had been wanting to get a tattoo to show my love for the great Johnny Cash, and was just waiting for the right time and the right shop. I found both when I walked into Village Pop. Wendell was the artist who was available at the time and he did an excellent job and I am so happy with the outcome. The entire staff was very friendly and we had a good time talking back and forth while my tattoo was getting done. So, if you're looking to get a great tattoo at a very professional and ultra clean shop, then Village Pop is the place for you. Next time the urge strikes you to get some ink done, you can't go wrong going to Village Pop.

I got my cartilage done on a Sunday at night when most other shops had closed. Walking in I was pretty nervous since I hadn't gotten pierced before (ever). The piercer I got (Tre, I think?) was great, though, and he took the time to explain how it would feel and match up the marks so they were symmetrical. Overall I had a good experience there and would definitely recommend it to others!!

I've gone here for almost all of my piercings, the artist have changed over the years but they remain friendly. The location is clean, easy to get to, and the staff is friendly. It is in Manhattan on W4 street so be prepared to pay extra for the location! But I've never had any infections or piercing complications so I'd say its worth it.
