The crew at Tattoo Wonderland are very diverse in their styles of tattooing and will make sure you are placed with the right artist based on your preference of style. Simply outstanding in every respect. After a fair bit of research, I settled on Tattoo Wonderland, largely based on the excellent reviews they've received. Living across the continent, it was a bit of a gamble, but the process was professional, efficient, understanding and friendly from the first consultation through to the final aftercare call. Chris and Sandy were very welcoming (even an excellent lunch and snacks!), the space is warmly decorated, and clean (even for someone that is extremely fastidious about cleanliness). Seven hours in the chair, you get to know someone pretty well, and clearly Chris is a supremely decent person, genuine, compassionate and caring. Every step of the process was clearly explained, and he has made himself available for any post-tattooing questions. I'm very pleased with the artwork itself, Chris is definitely a talented artist. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Tattoo wonderland is amazing! I worked with Chris and the whole process was great. I wanted an iris tattoo and Chris quickly picked up on the style I was after and designed a beautiful custom piece that's even better than I expected. He really put a lot of thought and care into it and it's certainly reflected in the final product. I was a little anxious going in for the actual tattoo but he made me feel incredibly comfortable and he explained every step of the process to me. He's very friendly and we chatted through the whole appointment. When you walk in the store it's bright, clean and you immediately feel welcome. They are extremely hygeinic and great about explaining proper aftercare. I'm glad I found them and I definitely plan on going back!

Most friendly, clean, hygienic and professional place I have ever been too. And THE BEST costumer service. This is the place where I got my first tatto. I was so excited but terrified to make the final decision but Chris and his team ver above and beyond to make my time there most comfortable and explain everything in detail. Tattoo Wonderland is an absolute gem in the tattoo community. I came in for their custom designed Friday the 13th flash, and have returned twice more. I've been tattooed by all three artists, and each one is so capable, and it is obvious that Chris, Sandy, and Tim all take great pride in their work. The shop is impeccably clean, and sterile. The owner, Chris, is so sweet and knowledgeable and really genuinely cares about each piece that is done in his shop. The first time I walked into Tattoo Wonderland I was greeted by Chris and Isaac who made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. They were so pleasant and such a pleasure to talk to and discuss tattoos. I came in without any idea of what I was getting and left the shop that day with two amazing tattoos by Isaac. The shop is always kept extremely clean and has a really fun atmosphere. From all the tattoo shops I've been to or gotten tattoos at, Tattoo Wonderland is one of my favorite shops. I've been there many times since then, sometimes to discuss tattoos and sometimes just to say hi and hang out with everyone there. Chris is doing amazing work training his apprentices and every tattoo I have seen either Chris or Isaac do was just incredible. I have never felt uncomfortable here and everyone has been very understanding of my discomforts and religious restrictions. (I'm not sure why a different review stated that Chris was dismissive of religion, he certainly is not dismissive and is completely understanding and even curious to learn more about my religion.) I would recommend Tattoo Wonderland to anyone. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Giving it three stars because its definitely a cool place and the artists are cool but in the end, it's all about the quality of work. Maybe I should of gone with one of the different artists,I got done by the girl, I cant remember her name but I'm definitely disappointed. Almost two years later and the ink is patchy and just the outlining just isn't that great. Really I'm kinda upset with myself for not researching her work more than what I had.

I made my decision to go to Tattoo Wonderland based on shop's proximity to my home and artist's work portfolio. Tim's style was exactly what I wanted to have as my tattoo. This was my first tattoo which I've wanted to get for a few years but couldn't imagine the full image of all my ideas in my head. Tim was able to capture them all in a tasteful manner. I emailed the shop, they got back to me with a phone call within 2 days. We scheduled a consultation where I left a deposit and my full drawing was ready in 2 weeks. After that, I've scheduled my actual appointment for the tattoo. Tim was very professional and pleasant to deal with. He explained the whole process before starting to tattoo and the post care afterwards. I was only working with Tim, but saw Sandy at both my consultation and drawing review and Chris was there during my tattoo appointment. The environment felt welcoming at all times. If I ever decide on another tattoo, I will definitely be coming back to Tattoo Wonderland!

I was pretty apprehensive about getting my first tattoo, but the folks at Tattoo Wonderland made it easy and (believe it or not) fun. I'm an illustrator and had designed a logo I wanted as a tattoo. Would their tattoo artist be ok with inking someone else's design? During my consultation, Chris and Tim immediately put my mind at ease. They were very easy to talk to as I explained what I had in mind. Chris was full of helpful ideas, including suggesting the right size for the tattoo. So I made an appointment for a few days later with Sandy. She was professional and personable and funny. Sandy translated my drawing perfectly into a tattoo. It turned out exactly as I wanted. For some reason, the process of getting the actual tattoo didn’t really hurt me, but I guess that varies from person-to-person. Having my tattoo done by Tattoo Wonderland was a totally positive experience. If I decide to get another one, I’ll go back to them. Thanks again to Sandy, Chris & Tim!

I've been wanting two simple, cliche tattoos in my inner arms for the longest time but finding the perfect artist was the most difficult task of the process until I stumbled across Tattoo Wonderland and discovered Sandy. After holding off on getting the tattoos for a period of time, I finally made the decision to call the shop and schedule a consultation. Upon the consultation, I immediately for sure, 110% wanted Sandy to ink my 2 cliche pieces because she listened to what "I" want and even provided extra suggestions on what is better for me in the long run. On the day of my scheduled appointment, I had informed Sandy that i was nervous. She talked with me through the entire session that I felt so relaxed and comfortable, I forgot about the pain that I might or might not feel. Where do I start? I have been getting tattoos since 1999, in the US and in Europe, so I have seen quite a few tattoo parlors in my life. I can confidently say that tattoo Wonderland is by far the best tattoo experience I had. The place is very clean, from the tattoo artist's stationary to the restroom, everything is spotless. They are very welcoming and I felt comfortable at the shop. The decor and the ambiance were so nice. They have great customer service! Although I had reviewed and agreed on my tattoo prior to the session, once it was placed on my arm, there was something about it that I didn't like. Chris stepped in to help rework the design. It took them an extra 45mins but they figured out a way and I absolutely love it! Mind you, during this entire process -that can be quite stressful for both the artist and the client- they never made me feel uncomfortable. Chris explained that it was very important to them that I absolutely love my design, that it is MY design and there is no compromising on a tattoo. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to add a new custom made tattoo to their collection.

Everyone at the shop is super nice and professional at the same time. I rarely leave a review for anything but my experience there has to be known. I used to work side by side big name tattoo artists (not as an artist but a helper) and I have to say, aside from how well they keep their tools and stations sanitized, they also keep the shop pristine. Now for the real reason the shop is amazing is that every artist has their own style and is so dope in their own way of tattooing. Specifically Sandy, she’s the one who should be recognized but at the same time kept a secret because she’s wayyy too good at what she does. Anyways, this post was a lot longer than I wanted it to be but I hope this helps the next person decide on where to go when they want a really good tattoo. They are worth every pretty penny.

I love this place and the staff. All staff were friendly and welcoming. It's a small space but they make it as comfortable as possible and it is kept very clean. My tatto artist, Sandy, was very knowledgeable. This was my first tatto and although I did my research she did further inform me of the things I should expect from a tattoo artist. It's very nice to have a person that genuine. She also was very honest about my original placement. She could have just went with where I wanted it but she kindly informed me of why another spot would be better (i wanted a quote that would be too long for the original spot). I'm glad I did change it. The new placement is way better. Composition is key! The tattoo itself came out beautifully! Sandy, ensured I was comfortable through the process. My session was with Sandy and what an awesome time that I went back for two more tattoos three months later. I visited NYC for the first time, for a memorable vacation. I set up my appointment ahead of time and from the first call to when I walked out after my appointment, Sandy and Chris were so friendly and professional. I had an amazing experience from the first time I set foot into the shop. The shop is clean and both it and the artists are friendly and welcoming. I first went in a couple months ago with no clear idea as to what I wanted and Chris sat down and talked with me for a good hour until we came up with a concept that I absolutely loved. When it came time for the actual tattooing he and Tim made sure that I was comfortable (as comfortable as possible when someone’s going to be poking you with a needle for about 5 hours anyway) and kept me laughing throughout the entire process. I went and got my first tattoo from Tattoo Wonderland after coming to their shop a few times when my friends went in for tattoos. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming as is the staff made up of Chris, Sandy and Tim. I had Tim tattoo a snail sketch he had done for one of the shop's flash sale. He was taking great care to make the tattoo mirror his sketch and be a piece of work we could both appreciate and admire. Following this I proceeded to get two more tattoos from Chris in the following few weeks. Chris' attention to the needs of his clients and his workers is evident as you see his interaction with each individual. He takes his work very seriously and brought his vibrant personality to each session I went in for, even when he wasn't the one tattooing me. Chris wants to go above and beyond the needs of the client and provide them with pieces of work that will always look complete and really good. If you want artists who will listen and provide you with tattoos that you can look back on fondly and with no regrets, then you should definitely check out Tattoo Wonderland.

Coming to the decision to finally get an old tattoo covered up was a huge one for me but Chris and Tim made me so comfortable with my decision that I knew as soon as I got off the phone from making my consultation appointment that my experience at Tattoo Wonderland would be a unique one. Of course, my first visit was no disappointment! Everybody at Tattoo Wonderland was welcoming and friendly. From the time I walked in, my spirit just took to the place. When I explained the reason for my visit, I was so taken aback by how much they understood my need to get this cover up done more than I myself did at that point. They took their time with me showing me different tattoos that each artist had worked on so that I could see each artist's style. I really loved the fact that even at that point I could see that they work as a unit and have no ego, allowing clients to choose their artist based on their own personal preferences. I was also impressed with the process that I was taken through once I selected my artist. Tim took the time to discuss with me what I envisioned, even though I had no specific vision in mind at the time. I was so surprised at how professional and on point the process and paperwork at Tattoo Wonderland were. By the time I left that day, I was super excited to see what Tim was going to create for me. When I finally got to see the sketch of my tattoo, I was so impressed by how hard Tim worked to make my cover up into something that I had never even imagined I wanted. Tim was very open to answering my questions and immediately made an adjustment that I suggested. Today, on tattoo day, Chris and Tim did everything to accommodate me and make me feel as comfortable as possible. Tim worked nonstop to perfect my cover up and was so gracious to darken an older tattoo that I had. I have never spent this much money on a tattoo before but the experience I had Tattoo Wonderland was worth every single penny. Not only is my new tattoo beautiful but the experience was so impressive that I started to brag about them even before I started my tattoo. I couldn't tip Tim like I wanted to but I am more than glad to let the world know that they are the best tattoo artists in Brooklyn.

A couple of Sundays ago I spent my afternoon at Tattoo Wonderland. It was a really pleasant experience, my tattoo artist being Sandy Dex. Prior to getting the tattoo I met with her twice to go over what I wanted with samples I brought. She was great and super helpful about changing sizing and combining all the ideas I brought to her. The day I was tattooed she walked me through everything she was doing and opening new needles in front of me and constantly changing gloves. Overall, really professional and reassuring with how thorough everything was. With that, the shop has a fun atmosphere. The other artists were around and I could hear them talking with other clients. The people at Tattoo Wonderland want to give you something one of a kind, not just something off the wall that a thousand other people have. When I was done they had all the aftercare supplies I needed. I even got to try a new product they have, Saniderm. It’s like a plastic wrap that made the healing process really quick and it barely itched. I would definitely recommend this shop and working with Sandy Dex. They made getting a tattoo on the side of my ribs an enjoyable experience.

I had a great experience with the professionalism of the employees, their attitudes/conversation, and of course- the tattoo! In June, I had stopped by for a consultation ( I requested Christopher, because I liked his style and felt that he could bring this piece to fruition ). I brought in a whole bunch of prints of screenshots from the movie, and my own sketches, just to give him a more clear visual of what I was going for. He sat with me for about an hour, and drew up some preliminary sketches (even one on my arm for me to see!) . So yeah, he got what I was saying and his suggestions totally went with the aesthetic/vibe I was going for. I was itching to get it done as soon as possible, but he managed to talk me into waiting until after my vacation, because I was going to be in the sun all day and it would ruin my tattoo, so we planned for August, and scheduled a date in July for me to come to view his completed design ( to allow time for changes, should I not like anything ). Julys here, and I got stuck in California for an extra two days (I was gonna miss my design viewing!) I called them the day before my viewing, and they kindly managed to push it to the next day with no issue. Went in to see it and it was just better than I could've hoped for it to be. It was very true to the preliminary sketches he drew up, just obviously way better cause he took time to detail it (and I mean DETAIL). My tattoo feature the window of the protagonists apt and he used the screenshots I provided him, and I think even watched the movie himself to make sure that the window was true to the movie. All the broken pieces of glass on my tattoo are in the same spot as they are in the movie! Details like this matter to me! I know I keep saying it but what I really enjoyed is that he makes sure to explain the process to you, so you know what to expect from other artists as well (safe protocols, like opening the freshly packaged needles in front of you). Anyway, we start tattooing, and just talked about basically everything, seriously, we hit like every Jeopardy topic ever. Conversation came really easy, not just with Christopher, but Sandy also, we were cracking jokes about how to make the tattoo last longer just to keep chatting. Timur was cool too, but he had a client of his own in the front so he was busy. After we were all done (and this is REALLY important part): He explained how to use the aftercare that they offer there. So it's comprised of 3 products, Dial anitbacterial soap, this cream called Hustle Butter, and these clear bandage sheets called Saniderm. I've heard of similar products, but I didn't know that they were like these medical grade bandages that they'll even use on burns in the hospital. When I've gotten tattoos in the past, I've always been told to like just use A&D or nothing at all and 'just let the body heal itself'. The A&D was always too thick and would would leave this gross, always soft scab on top of the tattoo, which I could just feel was terrible for it. I've also tried doing nothing, and that just left me super dry, scabby as hell, and sooooo itchy. The first Saniderm was applied to me by Christopher, to ensure that it was done right and also to provide a tutorial on how to replace the bandages myself. I know it seems like a lot, but this has got to be the most low maintenance recovery process (aside from doing nothing, which sucked) that I've heard of. It looks like a piece of clear tape, so you can still see your tattoo as its healing and show it off, but you don't have to be cleaning it and applying lotions every day while its still so sensitive. So, the first bandage gets removed the next day, (clean w.the soap) and then you replace it...and then you don't have to do anything for another 5 to 6 days, and then you do the same thing with the last bandage. After that, just use the Butter on it till you run out of it! Couldn't have had a better experience or chose a better place to go to for this important piece, and if you're reading this now, GO for a consult!
