Vinny has more than 35 years of experience. Emailed, got my estimate for a custom tattoo, & was in his shop about an hour later. His price was the best out of 5 other estimates I got (by FAR!) He does everything himself. Big or small jobs. Piercings too. (Two Indian girls dropped in to get their ears pierced & were out in minutes) Clean, sunny, comfortable shop. Plenty of seating for waiting. Clean bathroom. Deli on the corner (Vinny's former location before he moved upstairs) for coffee, water, & soda. Great old & new school tattoos framed on the walls: Plenty of tattoos to look at & talk about. (Look out for the bargains!) Classic rock playing in the background. Very friendly & loves to answer your questions. Overall great experience & I LOVE MY AWESOME TATTOO! Highly recommended

I should have went with my gut when I first walked into the place. I felt nothing but the negative, and that this place is very unprofessional.I got my hips pierced and they became infected immediately, and was dark around the barbells( I did not touch them with my hands, and I would clean them two to three times a day).I went to another body piercer to have them check it out, being told that the artist did the piercing incorrectly and used the wrong jewelry to insert them in. Basically the artist/piercer did not know what they were doing. Never coming back again!

My husband decided to come to Vinny's for a nose piercing solely due to his reputation, but ended up regretting his decision. Maybe he's good at tattoos, but based off experience and the looks of his Google Reviews, he is poorly skilled at doing piercings... Similar to others here, my husband also said it was extremely painful and that he bled more than he expected to. About a day later, his nose became inflammed and the piercing disappeared into his nose... We knew something was not right so we went to another piercer for advice. This person said that it was a poorly done piercing and that any knowledgable professional would have not used such a short, curved ring on a new piercing, let alone on a male because their nose cartilage is much thicker than females. You have to use a longer bar to accomodate for swelling during the healing process. He paid $25 at Vinny's and then $38 elsewhere to get a new ring installed... Just go to someone else who knows what they are doing and is professional enough to accept criticism. If this is a common complaint by your clients, why not take measures to prevent it? The place looks shoddy, too. Looks like it's his shop/house.

If you want to get your nose pierced I repeat do not ever ever come here..i don’t know about tats but if has to do with a piercing pls do not step you foot!! Into this store..I walked in to get my nose pierced first of all he had a no care attitude and was rude..and then when he showed me the ring I asked him if it’s not too small for a fresh piercing and he said it was okay it doesn’t matter...Wanted to know more he shunned me and told me he has been a piercer for many years and he knew what he was doing...immediately he pierced through my nose *which was very painful by the way* I started bleeding profusely and all he gave me was paper towel and told me to just press the top..The next day I woke up I couldn’t find my nose ring just for me to see it sank in through my nose because it was too small and he used this big ass needle..it swole up and it looked like I have gotten an infection in just a day..immediately I had to go to another piercer to fix the trash he did and they were also surprised that a piercer will use a ring as small as that for a fresh nose ring..it was a horrible experience overall pls do not attend

Vinny's been doing tattoos for over 30 years. I wouldn't trust another shop to do my tattoos. Friendly,clean shop. You have to wait at times but I think that's a sign of good work. His pricing is also very reasonable.

Vinny is a great tattoo artist. Been around for years. Excellent free hand and drawing skill. Went their for a cover up tattoo. Did an excellent job. A clean place and very well kept. Pays attention to the smallest detail. Takes his time on your tattoo. The price is what he says it is. Then again good tattoos don't come cheap. I will be going back soon. Honestly, I have had a horrible experience with piercing. I noticed that there are great reviews about tattoos, which, I feel he is best at doing. He pierced both the top of my ears, and the jewelry he used was horrible. They started to hurt and swell to the point where I could not sleep because of the massive pain I had. I just had to take them out and let it close. The funny thing is, I had the top of my ears pierced before by using a Wal-Mart piercing kit, had my sister-in-law do it, and it was painless and did not hurt at all. I went there a second time for my eyebrow piercing. It was pretty painless and I actually like the location of the ring but there is one problem - I can't get the damn thing off and it's been nearly a month now. I will have to buy pliers of some sort or go to another person to get the thing off. Lastly, I went back to get my nose piercing. As he pierced my nose, i felt a gush of liquid poor out of my nose which turned out to be blood. He gets me a tissue and tells me to just press on it to stop the bleeding, so I did. The next day, I woke up and noticed my nose ring disappeared but I still felt inside my nose that it was there. To my horror, my nose ring started sinking into the hole because the ring was just too damn small. I called and asked if he had better jewelry but apparently that is "all he had." I knew if I went there, I wouldn't be refunded for his horrible job. I pushed the ring so that it can emerge from the hole and managed to take it out. I went to Hot Topic to find replacement nose rings and they said "It's way too low, who did you go to?" I told them "Vinny's in Coney" and he was like "Really? Was it a different person?" and I said no, it's the same man. Even THEY were surprised at how bad it was. This is my experience with piercing and I gave the man plenty of chances by coming back, no more for me.

Very nice tattoo work got my first tattoo which I customized and explained how I wanted it to look and he did it exactly how I wanted it. At Vinny’s never had a problem quick and painless makes u very comfortable, he explained how to take care of it, friendly environment, great prices he does not rip you off like many shops would, very sterile ,loved the work recently got my second one with my best friend we are very happy with our result will always go to this place for my tattoos and touch ups
