About 3 years ago I had my first Ink there. Just had my second tattoo at this place. Matteo was great. Place is clean, friendly and very professional. Price very reasonable. I came from Florida, just because I like this place.(Granted there are good artist in Miami but I like to come back to places where I feel comfortable and welcome.) Highly recommend to anyone. You will not regret your tattoo and art work

So far, I've gotten 10 tattoos from this shop, mainly from Gusak/Sergey. All have been fairly priced, done very well, but what really stands out for me is the atmosphere these guys create. The music is good, the people are good, it just feels nice to be in there. I can't speak for the piercing quality as I have none, but if you're looking to get inked, you can't go wrong with Citizen Ink. Honestly I haven't stopped recommending this place to friends, keep up the awesome job guys!

Ecstatic. I drove to Citizen in Brooklyn from way out in Suffolk County with a rough idea of what I wanted. They helped mold it into something beautiful and brought it to life. Bauza did an outstanding job on my traditional bear tattoo, such that, a week later my father came in and got a uniquely and equally detailed tattoo. I've had Spider work on me before as well and am completely satisfied. The crew is a riot, always a good time, and the shop is clean as a whistle. Can't wait to come back, will only recommend friends and family tri state to Citizen.

i cant believe it took me this long to leave a review this shop is home for me and a large group of my friends.. 14 tattoos and counting from 3 artists in this shop. pricing is fair to other local shops, but the quality is well beyond the pricing. this shop easily compares to any world class shop in the art of tattoos and doesnt have that arrogant streak that comes with those shops... ive walked into and out of shops in the city and other places that charge 20x what this place does and the quality from citizen ink. is as good as if not better then. the staff are friendly, helpful, skilled, funny and a endless help of info on the entire process of a tattoo, from initial design, the tattoo itself and the healing process. they are always able to answer a question anytime you ask one, be it a quick phone call, walk in or instagram comment, they always reply as fast as they can with the info you need clearly stated... i have told countless friends about the shop, and all have been as happy with there tattoos as i have....

Joe is the MAN! Super friendly and patient with any size/design tattoo you want. He takes his time and makes sure it’s placed right before he gets buzzing. Everyone in the shop is friendly so no worries if you’re a tattoo veteran or tattoo virgin. All are welcome(unless youre under age, then you can come to watch). Highly recommend coming in here for your tattoo of any kind.

If I could give this shop 0 stars I would. Started off bad I arrived for a 4pm appointment and no one in the shop acknowledged my arrival. Katya Krasnova, the artist I had been corresponding with via email, finished her earlier appointment late, and then left the shop, not returning til after 4:30. After that, she handed me the flash book and told me to pick a tattoo. Through our correspondence, I had asked for a custom design. She has no recollection of this and was no where close to apologetic for her obvious mistake. She made NO POINT to rectify the situation and basically told me to she "couldn't do anything about it". I left the shop angry and disappointed that a tattoo I had scheduled 6 weeks earlier was not happening. Extremely unprofessional. I will not be returning to Katya or this shop. Do not come here if you are looking for a professional and friendly experience.

My friend and I just walked up on this place, it was a third shop we had stopped in at. Everyone was super friendly. The shop was clean and had a lot of cool details. My friend and I both had custom pieces, they drew it up exactly like we wanted and had the work done in about an hour. Prices were fair and work looked exactly like we wanted.

Went here to get my ear lobes pierced for the first time and lady was nice and all but piercings are all wrong. both ears the piercing looks nice on the outside but on the back its completely crooked and 1 ear got an infection and now I have to get my ears re pierced because its so crooked that i can barely get a thin earring through it! The lady who did the piercing was nice so that's why 3 stars. But otherwise, they seem to do better jobs at tattooing than piercing. :)

I asked for a tattoo of Elizabeth Bennet and a Veloceraptor - I was taken seriously - treated courteously - Carina did 3 versions before being patiently waiting for me to wipe away my tears (I have the worlds lowest pain threshold it turns out). Great experience - amazing tattoo.

Not the best place for a piercing. I did mine a year ago and the girl did it wrong so it's still not healed and now I'm having an inflammation, but when I just got it I asked her if it is really suppose to look like that? she said yeah it's a human body and it's asymmetrical but it's just ridiculous she put the needle in the wrong direction and it still can't be healed. I went to the doctor and he said that I have to take it out and if I want to get new one I have to wait at least 6-8 months and of course I have to pay for the new piercing

Very clean and well designed tattoo shop with a great vibe. Everyone is always friendly, in a good mood and just an overall great atmosphere around everyone that works at this place. All the work of the artists at this studio is truly high quality and does not fade over time like tattoos do from so many other tattoo shops. The owner of this place is a great guy too and really takes great care of the place, his artists and the people that come there to get tattoos or piercings. If you want a tattoo and have it done right the first time, this is the place to go to. Ask for Joe when you get there, he's one of the senior artists there and one of the most talented artists I've ever seen. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place to get your next tattoo if you were looking to get one and wanted to go somewhere to have it done right, you'll be in good hands getting it done by these guys and you'll be glad you found them so you know where to go in the future to get more work done.

I have been there for a couple of tattoos and my daughter got her first tattoo there. At that time it was a very friendly, cool spot. It's still a cool spot but there is definitely a language barrier in my son's case. He got his first tattoo there tonight and communicating with the artist was very difficult. I also wanted to get a tattoo of my beta fish on my wrist. It would have been a pretty small tatt. I was told it would be $400-500 because they have to use more than one color. I almost fell over when I heard the price. He then told me I should book an appointment for the following day after I find a picture I like, and he draws it. I politely declined. Number 1 I didn't want to wait. Number 2 a lot of tarts have more than one color. When did they start charging by the color? No thank you. I'll be going somewhere where the prices are more reasonable. Even my son's tattoo, I felt was a bit much. Also, expect to go in with a wad of cash as they don't accept any other form of payment. No longer my go to or recommend spot

Ok so in All my years of going to this shop this is the first time I’m reviewing. Myself, my hubby, daughter and son and countless friends and family have MANY tattoos as well as a few piercings. HAPPY not a complete enough word to explain how my entire family feels about our Citizen Ink family because that’s what we have become is family. So the tattoos are next level I usually go to Joe he is the greatest guy in every way if I give him an idea he makes it OUR OWN the work is perfection I LOVE THE SUN but his ink stands the test of time. There is not one single artist that I can ever say nothing more than positive. Really don’t know what else to say other NEVER EVER DISAPPOINTED

Amazing artists. I couldn't be happier with the tattoo that I got. Spider was professional and so was everyone else. Get your tattoo here, these guys are the real deal. I took of one star off because the guy who made the appointment for me told me I would be charged the flat rate. When my first session was done I was told a different price. Was a little more expensive than the flat rate. That was a little annoying but didn't care because it was still a good price for the art I got. Just wish everyone was on the same page. I'm sure it was an honest mistake but still.

Best tattoo shop in the neighborhood Joey is a great artist and an old time neighborhood friend of the community. Very clean and organized space with interesting décor. The staff are all very friendly and professional. I highly recommend stopping by for some tattooing or piercing, or just to hang out and chat .

Contacted an artist about a design of hers. I booked an appointment and paid a deposit. When I arrived she said she wouldn’t do that design and handed me a book of overpriced flash. 450 pieces around an inch wide. A terrible experience and I’ll never go back.
