This shop is a little cute shop in the Astoria area. The staff workers are really nice felt welcome as soon as I stepped inside the place. The price ranges are decent prices and the finish touches of the tattoos are a piece of beautiful art work. The energy and psorive atttiudes among the workers are very professional and they love what they do which is show off their craft. If you ever need a tattoo done or want to make your old tattoos come to play def go to this shop and get some ink done.

Body language tattoo shop is THE tattoo shop I always go to and my family goes to. Body language tattoo is the shop I always recommend to anyone and everyone who ask where my work is done. Everyone in the shop are always welcoming, not one issue when it came to making a appointment, to meeting Nicole or any of the artist there. The transportation isn't bad at all. You get what you pay for and they will never disappoint. Every single one of the artist are amazing talented human beings. I absolutely love the shop and the environment there.

Was looking for someone to extend a floral sleeve. Via phone I asked for So Yeon based on her portfolio; receptionist told me to come in next day for an in-person consultation. Next day: travel to queens. Wait awhile. Nobody offers me water. So Yeon doesn't ask my name, looks at my tattoo and tells me it's "not in her style, have you seen my portfolio?" I say, yes, which is the reason I sought her out. Ok. I can deal with someone not wanting to work on my body, but she was weirdly combative and rude. Kept asking me what I wanted, interrupting me when I tried to explain. Told me my existing tattoo "wasn't a _bad_ tattoo." Alright. Thanks. Showed her a PHOTO of a rose I liked and she told me she can't do realism---I made it clear the photo was a piece of inspiration not to be taken literally. I asked her what her vision would be based on my ideas--pale roses with dark leaves. Her full response: white ink wouldn't stick. I explained my skin is white so the negative space would suffice (I was sitting in front of her and my skin is white!!). After such a warm introduction, she quickly moved to trying to book an appointment. No concept shared with me. Nothing. She just said it would take two sessions--I had no idea what she had in store for me. I asked her price and it was $175/hr, at which point I left. Long story short: you're talking about working on people's bodies, you shouldn't be so rude if asking so much.

This is the only place I go for a tattoo! I've been getting tattoos for years. Been tattooed by some great artists and some terrible ones. However, once I started getting tattooed at Body Language I refuse to go anywhere else. Their artists really know their craft and take pride in their work. They will take time and work with you on a unique piece. The shop isn't pretentious either which can be a problem at a lot of places. I can't count how many tattoos I've gotten here or how many people I've sent here. In fact, my tats get compliments on the street so often I actually carry around BLT business cards and hand them out to strangers. True story! All the artists are great with different styles, check out their portfolios, pick your favorite, and make an appointment.

I have nothing but good things to say about Body Language Tattoo. When I went in for my initial consultation, everyone who I spoke to was friendly and accommodating, and booking my appointment was simple and quick. When I got my actual tattoo, it was done by Carlos. He looked at my design with me, and helped me tweak it just a little bit to make it that much better. The whole thing took about an hour, and the price was more than reasonable for the work that was done. I will definitely come back here for future tattoos, and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We laugh and joke throughout my sessions, maybe too loudly. I have to work on that and consider the other patrons. Other than that, awesome tattoo studio.

I walked in on Friday the 13th to see about getting something small done that day, and I had inquired about the artist Nasa previously and was going to consult the following day. The horizontally challenged woman at the front desk responded to me in such a pompous way that I will never return. I don't understand where you people come off being rude to your customers and expecting them to return. Unbelievable.

I currently got a beautiful tattoo done here. The environment is very comfortable, warm welcoming, and very clean. The staff was geniuinly sweet and caring for my needs while I got my tattoo. Nicole was very sweet, made sure I was very comfortable while doing my tattoo. Nothing but positivite vibes. I've gotten tattoos at other spots before but Body Language Tattoo by far is my favorite. I met Nicole a while ago and instantly became a fan of her art and style so it was easy to go when the shop first opened up. I was excited to get my first piece, and super happy with it. Since then have been going periodically whenever I can spare the money, and happy EVERY time I leave the shop. And in doing so, met a bunch of other great artists as well. They all have their own individual style so any newcomers have a nice selection of the particular type of style they'd like. Overall, I haven't been anywhere where I've felt more comfortable than at this shop. Highly recommended.

If you're in the market for a tattoo you should read this. Whether you've been tattooed before, or if this is your first time this is the place to go. I went to an artist at a different shop who did not stick to my vision at all, and I had to respectfully leave. Some artists develop a complex where they think their clients are like cattle, and suggest what they want to draw rather than stick to what their client wants. That is not the case at Body Language Tattoo. Every artist not only has their own unique style, but they all have true vision and that is incridibly rare in a tattoo shop for all of the artists to share. That vision is almost like a police sketcher. People give those sketchers the worst possible descriptions and somehow they draw an exact portrait. Instead of a quick portrait, these artists are designing insanely detailed pieces of art, which are directly personal to you. When you walk in here you feel the connection these artists have with one another. Eventually if you become a client you feel you're part of that. It's the exact experience I had been looking for in a shop My experience: I saw Nicole's art work online and really liked her style, so I figured I'd go to the shop and check it out. When I got there and started talking to her, I instantly knew she was a true artist. As I started explaining each minor detail of what I wanted, she was able to see in her minds eye exactly what I was saying, and actually began finishing my sentence in depth! ( always be as clear and concise as possible to help with this process ) She has worked with me and was able to bring vision I have in my head perfectly into my tattoo. She was and still is insanely respectful of what I want and that translates into her work. She is so easy to talk to, so involved with what you want and will do her absolute best every single time. It's the experience I've always looked for in a tattoo shop. Nicole is truly incredible and I would say go to her, but each individual artist at the shop has so much to offer. You really should talk to and research each artist before you make up your mind. If I could have done it all over again, I would only have come here every time. - Chris

Fantastic female artists, helpful, friendly, and skilled. Their prices are affordable, and the location is accessible to public transportation and meter parking. I’ve personally gotten over 20 hours worth of tattoos over the past 6 years in this shop. All of my tattoos are in tact in terms of color and shading. Most importantly there’s never been any ink spread (which is VERY impressive). Nicole runs a very professional yet comfortably fun environment. She’s always involved with her customers, getting to know them and building a genuine relationship. There’s always nice music playing or a good movie to watch during your session. She’s very festive with her shop during Halloween, art shows, and the shops anniversary. She always invites her fellow neighbors to celebrate and enjoy whichever entertainment she has hired for the event. Every Black Friday she offers store discounts on her hourly rate. Also, every year I receive a happy birthday message from Body Language Tatoo. You cannot get more involved than that. I’ve seen her business grow since she first opened her business about 5-6 years ago and I’m happy to know that she truly cares. Gestures like this is where loyalty ignites.

I was recommended this tattoo place y my best friend who got a cover up done by the owner. I came in to get more information and decided to book an appointment. I placed $100 deposit down for my tattoo and was informed that if I cancel with less than 2 days notice I will lose it. Well, I showed up the day off my tattoo and my son because my babysitter was a no show. They curtly (was very short and rude with me) explained that for safety and security reasons he couldn't be here. I completely understood and try to explain my circumstance. I explained that my best friend got her's done here by the owner who allowed her daughter to be there but my son couldn't. As if my son was a bad kid - he has been there are my last 7 tattoos at previos locations and has NEVER ran around or gotten up. I had no problem to reschedule until they wanted to tell me that even though I showed up and was ready to be tattooed, I lost my deposit and needed to give them yet another $100 because of a misunderstanding. If my best friend came to this same place and got her tattoo done WITH her daughter, why would I think it was such a big problem for me\? They tried to "hit me with the rules" but openly admitted to bending them for customers they felt like. I will never come here again and the 5 people I had lined up for them plus the other 3 more tattoos that I had ready to bring business is now going to someone else. I understand the policy and I was willing to pay for my tatt but their lack of customer service, people skills, and unwillingness to work with me shows me how money hungry these people really are!!!
