Thank you ELijah much love, God Bless Black Ink......Decided to memorialize my father the day before his funeral with a tattoo... The moment was spontaneous in a joking manner with the wifey. Then I challenge myself and did it, kind of strange doing this at 46..... ELIJAH's work is tight, the environment was over whelming, became crowded as soon as I sat down, groupies stopping through throughout the session... Could I've just been lucky that day when I stop by, maybe........ it was fate to me..

Ceaser! I know you looking at these reviews! The Walking Dead, The Simpson's and King of the Hill all had long running seasons on tv! You better get your shop's in check and tend to your customers. Tv shows never last! Look at MTV Making the Band! Never forget how you started or what keep you in business! It can make you or break you! Now! I don't want no tattoo here either! Word of advice! Check your Google reviews!

Can't get enough of these guys. I'm an older woman that is in love with the entire Black Ink Crew. My first trip to NY ...my first stop was to Harlem hoping to meet any members of Black Ink, was told I had just missed Ceasar and Dutchess but had the opportunity to meet Angel and Ceasar's uncle. Great vibe.

Walked in and reception was so bad that I walked out. Ambiance is sketchy, could not hear the receptionist (her normal voice is a whisper), artists were "out to lunch" with no return time, and card machine was broken.

I went in really quick before work. I had no idea they even had a show I just wanted to see the artist work and see what the shop is about. I gave the guy that was attending me my ideas and as I was talking he kept speaking to me dismissively. Very frustrating and I don't even think he was an artist just someone who works in the front. I've never been to a shop and treated that way.

Saturday I had a great experience at Black Ink on 125 ... I called prior to my arrival since this was not a planned visit and to my surprise a very nice young lady by the name of Ryan answered the phone and said I could come in right now I was extremely excited .... when I arrived Omg it was dope everyone was smiling and friendly and most of all clean. That day my artist was Berto at first I wanted to be picky but I was so overwhelmed by the experience I just said ok and but the great experience didn’t stop there this guy was amazing top notch equipment that I like afterwards there was no pain and his work was that of a perfectionist will definitely be going back to him for more work... 10 stars to Black Ink..

I went yesterday and the receptionist (who originally said he was the shops manager) was very rude and aggressive. He made the shop feel cold, stuffy, and uncomfortable. He acted as if he did not know who my tattoo artist was and that I’d come to the wrong place. He made me wait in the sitting area, making it a problem when I tried to talk to my tattoo artist Kevin about what I wanted done. But after all that my artist Kevin was great he completing warmed up my experience and did a wonderful job tattooing what I wanted. It was exactly what I invisioned; he was very professional, friendly, and clean.

The people that say that have actually been there, had a bad experience. I love Black Ink the show but seriously people even on the show they don't do alot of tats. Love the staff but skeptical about the shop if you go as a customer and your not a super star.

SCAM ARTIST!. They make you pay for time in advance example 6 hours about 1300. Mind you my outline was already done so that shouldve had them a step ahead. ...then they take breaks consult others customers and go slow so that they won't finish your tattoo in the alotted time just so you can go back and spend more money. Uncomfortable folding chairs small tight space no breathing room. Most of all none of the people from the show is even there. Just some mediocre scam artist. A complete Rip off. Someone else will be completing my tat.

I am out here, in New York on a conference from the Westcoast. Some friends and I went sightseeing. We decided to go to Harlem and stop by "Black Ink!" Once arriving there, one of their employees came out very rude...."He stated that, they were not taking anymore appointments and they were closing!" The shop still had clients, he rudely escorted us out and wouldn't even let us take pics. This is suppose to be a professional establishment and this is how you represent it? Smh my head, it's unfortunate because clients are the ones who keep a business going. The owner need to, update the business hours as it reads open until 12am and the website location. Someone needs to also answer the phones, to answer questions when needed.

A little advice to black ink, I wanted more tattos and I never have been to black ink shop, but it sounds as unprofessional as the show is,if u are reading your reviews,stop worrying about hiring unprofessional people who never seem to do tattoos but to be rachet,your workers need to have more work ethic, I understand it's good entertainment for the show,but when it comes to people paying there hard earn money,y'all definitely got to get it together,I really believe Cesar u are getting too relax with the show check,because even a blind person can see your workers are unprofessional,but I guess those the workers u want because u don't have to pay them much because they don't do any tattoos anyway,no one should have to come in and be string along and wait on a tattoo artist to do a tattoo and they are giving u money,there are too many tattoo parlors in Manhattan that is way more professional, if this is your passion Cesar you are sure letting it go down the drain

Stopped by when I was in town ...they were closed ..but one of the Black inc crew members were sitting out front...I'm not a groupie by far...but dude had a very bad attitude. .when your in the business your going to have Fans that want pics!!!! Please remember it's the fans that make you,...so you should never be to good to take a pic with a fan!!!!!!! I guess that's why he's not one of the regulars on the show....Not A good look !!!!!!! If you go to Black Ink on 125th, go to Kevin (@tattoothetown)! He did my tat a few weeks ago and it's PHENOMENAL! Absolutely breathtaking! Kevin was really nice, and very detailed about his work. I truly enjoyed working with him; he's a fantastic artist. Very professional which I appreciated. The organization of the shop itself could use some work. Before getting the tattoo there was a lot of miscommunication between myself and the establishment about my appointment. I got redirected to multiple people telling me different things; some things I should not have known. That was the only bad taste left in my mouth from the shop. Other than that, once there, everyone was very nice and welcoming. The shop had a cool atmosphere and the employees were very cool. I would recommend going there.

If u want a great tattoo go to Tuff City in the Bronx. Better artists and people. What you see is what you get. When u see these clowns on tv the word class is buried under all the plastic surgery and horse hair. You can't find art digging in a trash can.

Black ink, I'm not to sure as to what's going on. I came there on January 4th 2019 to get a tattoo for my birthday. I had gotten a cherry blossom tattoo. Fresh did it. But, my concern is that my tattoo is still itchy and raised. I'm not bashing you guys because I really like to support black owned businesses, but if you can pls reach out to give me some kind of reason as to why I'm having these symptoms I would appreciate it. I have many tattoos and none of them feel this way. It really itches and looks weird! Pls reach out... I know where your located, and by the looks of my tat anyone would agree something is wrong!!!! Very unprofessional and rude, personnel on site declined services and stated they close at 9pm although their website clearly states the hours of operation are from 12pm-12am. I tried calling the phone number prior to my visit that was listed via the website but no answer. This was a very disappointing experience due to me having to travel so far.

My daughter Loves the Black Ink reality show, so we were afforded the opportunity to visit one of their locations last year! As a fan of the show, i couldn't wait to go get a tattoo from Black Ink! We Drove up from Massachusetts, 5 hours it took. Oshit rejected doing the tattoo in front of me. Which was disappointing because he was the one who i would have wanted to do it. The conversation that was happening was disrespectful for any woman to hear. I was sitting there thinking, is this a business? Kyle ( i think that was his name) ended up doing my tattoo and he was GREAT, which is why i give 3 stars. I guess i went in expecting to much, like a hello, thanks for coming . Maybe a laugh or two..... Left very disappointed. It was cool to see the shop, but i Wont be back, or suggest anyone take a long road trip to go there. There are plenty of professional artists right here in Mass.

A big disappointment!!! I came all the way from Texas for this tattoo. I paid $100 for a tattoo that only took 15 minutes. I had no beef with the price because I thought I was getting exceptional work done. Big mistake! Fast forward a month later and the tattoo lines are not sharp/clear. The coloring is uneven. I can see my skin through it. And part of the tattoo has faded completely away. I've only had it for a month! I've now got to go to another shop (one I know is reputable for sure) and pay more money to have them correct Black Inks poor work. I wish I could include a picture for you all to see
