Ok so here is my experience. I contacted this shop through Facebook initially to let them know what I wanted and to see if what I wanted was something they would be able to do, then I went up to the shop to make an appointment in person and spoke to them again about what I wanted. The next available appointment they had was a week later. Fine, I set it. The day before the appointment I get a text about a family emergency and that they would reach out to me as soon as possible to reschedule. I was sympathetic and understanding to the situation. But then weeks go by NO call, no text, to IM. Then a month!! So I reached out to them.... Got an " Oh my god. I'm so sorry hahahahaha. I was apologizing for not getting back sooner. I'll call u after my appointment." On April 1st, well I guess that was an April fools joke because as of today, April 11th I still haven't gotten that call from 10 days ago. This is ridiculous and I have never had such a terrible experience with a tattoo shop, and I have been to many. I had high hopes but I will take all the signs ahead of time for exactly what they are. I wanted a special tattoo done for a very special occasion, thanks to this tattoo shop, I was unable to do that. The worst experience ever.

The environment is very clean, sterile and well decorated with their work. You'll find yourself planning your next trip back before you're even out the door. A+

Shawn had done some really great work on a friend of mine and his son. I was sold 100% on his beautiful artwork. I needed a cover up of an old yin yang with an American flag. I called. I came into the shop, met Shawn and was told I'd hear from him in a week or two. After 3 weeks I called back spoke to Shawn who admitted he forgot and he was writing me down at the top of his list. That was a few months ago. I understand being busy, God knows I am too. However, I will always give people common courtesy and respect. I do not own my own business, but I imagine I would treat potential customers a little better. Especially coming in off of a recommendation. There are other shows in town and competition is fierce. I'm sure you will get great work done here....if you can get in.

After visiting several tattoo shops in the area for a small piece I wanted tattooed, including a popular but overpriced competitor in Ledgewood, I decided to work with Shawn at North Jersey Tattoo. The artwork here is outstanding, in my observation unparalleled in the area. Additionally, the price is more than reasonable. The shop is clean and the tools are properly sterilized. I will return to this business again. Lastly, North Jersey tattoo is military friendly. I recommend all North Jersey vets check this place out first while doing their tattoo research. You will not be disappointed.
