Don't go here. They were smoking pot in the next room over. My friend who got a tattoo here later found out he reused needles by burning them with a lighter. Simple line work was messed up and looks like a 6 year old child with a dried up marker did that tattoo.

At first last week I went and had a terrible customer service experience. The gentlemen who said he was "to busy" with no one in the shop treated me terribly. Shortly after I wrote an email to the company and was quickly contacted by management and owner Phil and Jef. Phil went out of his way to come in on a day off, take the time and give me the best tattoo I have ever seen. He was such a pleasure to work with. So although there was one sour apple, all in all the entire company is fantastic. I would recommend Phil or Jef for a Tattoo. Their work is beautiful!

Wanted a tattoo, put down a deposit to get it and made an appointment. When I got there Jef was tattooing someone else and I had to wait an hour until he was free. After that they told me they wouldnt do the tattoo because the text on my arm would be facing me (there was significance to this, and they had seen the design beforehand) and I never recieved a refund on the deposit (60$ of an 80$ tattoo) very unproffessional.

Love love love this place! Went here about 2 weeks ago with 2 of my friends to get rib cage tattoos and had josh as our artist. Works amazingly fast and really clean work. Will definitely be going there from now on for the rest of my tattoos. Little expensive but well worth it!

All the artists have always been very, friendly, helpful, and accommodating!! Jef and Kat are the friendliest people and I recomend Top Shelf Tattoo highly!!! Go on a night they have live music also!!! They have killer bands play there periodically!!!

I was not pleased with the fact that my artiest (josh) took 10/15 min breaks every so often. may sunflower tattoo should have only taken an hour where it actually took 2 hours including his breaks, i was also displeased that it was costing me $125 an hour. I evended up paying $225 for a tattoo thats the size of the bottom of a glass snapple bottle. for something that size its deffinitly over priced, I will not recommend this shop to anyone. the line work on my tattoo is shakey and you can see where the coloring was missed. my freshly new tattoo was also "wrapped" in a bounty paper towel with tape, for those who dont know this is wrong, paper towels shred and stick to new tattoos and pull out ink, he should have wrapped it with a plastic wrap like saran wrap, where as that comes off easily and doesnt pull out the ink!!! he also brought up conversation about drug use (BIG NO NO), mean while he was constanly talking to his friends and his wife who showed up just after my outlining was done.... I dont know about you but im not paying for someone to talk while im geting tatted...

The was the worst experience I've ever had. First and last tattoo I'll ever get. How hard is it to draw a penny size heart?! Couldn't even stay inside the lines. Don't recommend at all.

Took a fifty dollar deposit for work he never did. Would not answer calls. Have to check yo see if he ever refunded cash but was told by those who know him, "Good Luck". Gave him every chance to get back to me with drawing for work I wanted done. Blew me off. Well, I guess I own him now for fifty bucks. Not a good shop. Should be shut down.

Who is Holden?

Walking downtown the streets of Manchester at 8:00pm. Saw that they were open. Saw that there were 2 guys out front (one I later found out was the owner jef) showed him I had a tat I wanted filled in. P.s. it's whinne the Pooh. He said yeah i can get u in in about an hour. He did an amazing job coloring and shading. Highly recommend and would definitely go back for another tattoo.

I got a tattoo here a few months ago and it was one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. I could not have felt more unwelcome or under appreciate as a customer. My artist was Chris and he did nothing but rant and swear about something that was going on in his life the whole time. I mean, I get it, suff happens, but this is your job man. You should be making the people that come to you feel welcome. I almost walked out after listening to this guy for 30 mins and I should have. The ink start to come out as soon as it started to heal. The line work is crap and now I have to pay at least $60 to have someone touch it up after only 4 months of having it.

Got a small purple heart on my wrist, went back a month later to find out the guy who did my tattoo didn't work there anymore and they wouldn't say why. Got my tattoo touched up for free by another guy because he felt bad but the line work is now screwed up. looked fine the first time, i just wanted it to be touched up and it ended up looking worse.
