I was at Jim's Tattoo Studio in Seabrook NH on 8/12/17 for my first Tattoo. Dave was my artist. He promised me a couple weeks ago when I made the appointment, that he would give me an awesome tattoo and he nailed it. I gave him a design and when I got there, he showed me a few that he downloaded. I chose one of his and wasn't disappointed. He was very attentive to me as this was going to be a long sitting and the staff was friendly and entertaining. I recommend Dave and Jim's Tattoo Studio in Seabrook NH if anyone is looking to get a tattoo. Thanks Dave.

I am honestly surprised to see positive reviews about this place, because I had an awful experience at Jims. Last February, I made a bad tattoo choice (I got a small crow on my hand) that was poorly drawn. I wasn't sure about the image, and chose the placement last minute. I was stupid enough to go through with, so it's fair to say the bad experience was on me. However, I still do not approve of the qualitie of Jims. When I went, the guy at the front desk offered to photo copy my image. This only tells me that when the artists tattoo their customers, it's their first time seeing the image. Most good tattoo parlors draw the image, and then tattoo it, which always creates a cleaner result. Not saying their all bad artists, but the guy I went to (kori) was not good at all. Also, I'm pretty sure Jims uses synthetic ink. That is what my laser removal doctors think. I would not recommend Jims to anyone, but if you do decide to go, good luck.

My husband and his family have been going to Jim's forever. I got my very first teeny, tiny tattoo by Ashley and then decided to go big or go home with a half-sleeve from Angry Al. This is by far the best tattoo shop in NH, and their artists are amazingly talented. Prices are incredibly reasonable for such incredible artwork.

I came across Jim's when on holidays visiting my sister all the way from Calgary, AB, Canada. My sister and I aren't the most adventurous, but we really wanted to get a tattoo together. That being said, it was important for us to find a place that was clean, made us feel comfortable and confident with our decision. Right from the get-go, we were greeted in a friendly manner, and we were told that our simple tattoos would only cost the shop minimum. We were both thrilled to know that we were given a reasonable and fair price. Even more so, my tattoo artist informed that placement on the ribs usually cost more but wouldn't charge me. Also, it was a friendly environment so much so they were comfortable having my one year old niece hanging around in the shop while we both had our tattoos completed. Brandon did a phenomenal job on my sisters Roman numeral tattoo and made it the perfect size. He even touched up her other tattoo free of charge. When it came to my turn, Dave was also a true professional and ensured I was comfortable and satisfied. The team at Jim's were nothing short of accommodating, professional and a complete testament to to their artistic practice. I would recommend this shop to anyone in search of a tattoo...big or small, you simply feel like a valued customer.

Fantastic. Came up because my husband knows Joe. All the guys we met were friendly and it has a really laid back atmosphere which you want in a tattoo parlor. Love the pictures on the walls (even in the bathroom) that show the history of the place. And Joe is a fantastic artist and just a great guy.

For my first tattoo i went to Keepsake in Salisbury, it was the worst experience of my life. They did an awful job and refused to take responsibility and help fix their mistakes. I then decided to go to Jim’s Tattoo. I have gone 4 times just this year. I love the people and how personal each one is. Last night I got a piece done by Dave. Dave sat with me for hours working with me diligently and making me feel comfortable and beyond content. He has a beautiful talent and work ethic, putting his customers first. I feel like I have a forever friend now. Thank you Dave for my all time favorite art piece. I can’t wait to work with you again.

Called last Friday and was told they don't take appointments. Arrived at 12:30 pm today for my wife and I to get tattoos for our 1st anniversary. When we arrived we were told to come back at 4:00 pm. That was the first concern as we drove almost three hours from Keene, NH. We went shopping and arrive back at 3:40 pm. There were now 5 college girls getting small tattoos and we were told it would be quick. At 5:30 pm we were told they were ready. The artist then informed me that a compass tattoo that I had shown him 4 hours prior would have to be different. We scrapped those plans and focused on my wife's tattoo. A drawing of her tattoo was different enough that she didn't like it and at 6:00 PM we finally left. Total bummer is a day as this could have all been avoided by spending 5 minutes with us at the beginning clarifying expectations and the artsists ability to closely match the requests. Now a long drive home with no positive memories of the day and just frustration. I don't believe people realize just how badly their lacy of customer service affects people and that it leaves you totally disappointed.

Got a tattoo a week ago today. A couple days ago I noticed a streaking red circle around my new tattoo and that the scaring/ scabbing was super thick and bumpy. The scar falls off and underneath there’s this narly, scaly, wet rash. Went to the urgent care and they told me it was infected. I’m a clean person I shower twice a day and have numerous tattoos... this is not how a tattoo is suppose to look after a week. With no doubt in my mind my tattoo artist was either not cleaning his equipment properly or maybe it was the fact he was dipping his needle into tap (not sterile) water. Either way will not be going back there seeing I’m on antibiotics for the next week...

I had an amazing experience at Jims tattoo this past Sunday.. I needed a cover up tattoo and I had gone to tattoo america first and they was going to charge me $450 and said it have to be 2 sessions.. So my husband an I went to Jims and was very pleased as soon as we walked in.. They was up front and honest, gave me some advice, I wait 3 hours to see Dave and he did such an amazing job drawing it out free hand.. Also it was only $200 and done all in one session!!! I walked in to Jims Tattoo on a Saturday afternoon and was helped right away. I was directed to Dave for the small piece i wanted and was in the chair getting tattooed within 10 minutes of walking in. Dave was honest, straightforward and took his time to make my piece special even though he didn't have to. One of his appointments called saying they would be late and Dave asked to add some personal touches to my piece which i allowed and ended up loving. Dave's attention to detail paired with his honesty and the way he went about making my tattoo special will be bringing me back to Jim's for years to come. I went to Jim's on a Sunday (9/10/17) as a walk in. I was so happy I did!! Charlie greeted me and was great, took my drawing and gave it to Al and he perfected it. Al is the owner and his work is absolutely amazing!! Al was totally focused on his work and it shows, my tattoo came out perfect, I will never go anywhere else!!! Jim's has a great bunch of guys working there and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants great work at great prices. Don't waste your time anywhere else go to Jim's!!!

I went to Jim's Tattoos for my first tattoo about two months ago. I came in as a walk in asking for a customized tattoo and while at first the employees I met were intimidating, they were polite and professional and in the end they were what made me feel comfortable with putting my tattoo (and health) in their hands. My tattoo artist (Pete) both polished up and improved my design. He was up front about what I should expect (he was right, the pain wasn't that bad) and kept me calm with his own calm attitude. The tattoo came out amazingly and I'm so glad I chose Jim's tattoos. The line work and shading is amazing... and yes, they use single use needles!
