If I could, I’d give this place less than a single star. I went in sometime this past week in an attempt to have a walk in tattoo done. I called in an hour prior to which I was told that I was welcome for a walk in as they had zero appointments that day. Upon entry I informed the artist of a budget I was working on, as well as a rough idea of what I wanted done. Upon showing him a picture off Google images of what I actually wanted, he became irate and began to give me attitude saying I wanted too much for such a small amount of money. (I had a budget of $130) i wanted an air Jordan jump man with Michael Jordan’s jersey number “23” underneath. I showed him another tattoo I had done at the same shop in the past, this tattoo is bigger and more complex than the one I wanted to get, and cost me $120. I also just so happen to see that the artist that did the larger tattoo Was standing behind the artist who is now yelling at me. I had him confirm that he had done the work on my arm as well as the price. Back to the man who is screaming at me, by this point it is clear he does not want to do the tattoo. I told him he didn’t need to speak to me as if I was a child, and simply asked why he was unwilling to give me what I wanted where I wanted simply because I told him my budget. It was as if he wanted to maximize his profits. He also decided he knew better and had started drawing something totally wrong. He decided now is a great time to huff and walk away. So I started to talk to Kyle, the artist who did the work on my arm. I asked him if he was available for a walk in, and he replied that he refused to tattoo me after my conversation with his colleague. At which point his colleague decided to scream at me from across the room, so I responded by stating that I wasn’t speaking to him and that I was speaking to Kyle at that particular moment. This is where all hell broke loose, he slammed down his notebook and sprinted towards me, as if he wanted to fight me. He stopped just shy of getting in my face and told me he was going to physically remove me from the premises or call the cops. It escalated very quickly so I agreed to leave. I went to a better shop (Tattoo junkies) and got my tattoo. Exactly as I wanted it, exactly where I wanted it. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better experience than with tattoo junkies. And now I’m in the process of finding a cover up piece to rid my arm of the work this terrible shop did. I refuse to be walking advertisement for such a disrespectful person.(hidden history artist)
Hidden history and Minerva tattoos are the same place. The story I received prior to the altercation was something along the lines of Google associating with the owner of hidden history tattoos’ last name with the name of the business, hence Minerva tattoos.
Also something you may want to keep in mind;
If my experience with hidden history(Minerva tattoos) hadn’t been so negative I would’ve never reviewed them. They left a sour taste in my mouth so I will be telling everyone I kno about this terrible experience. I also will be recommending everyone I kno look somewhere else for ink, as this shop sucks!!!!
