I've gone to John for 9 of my tattoos and I've left a happy customer every time. He also did another tattoo, which we're going to add more around down the road. He cranks awesome rock out of his stereo while tattooing, making for an awesome experience. John is a great artist and an awesome dude. Big Mike is awesome as well and both of them work so well together. Blue Heron is golden!

I had to have an emergency incision to excise infectious fluids from my middle back post back surgery, so I asked my wife to call the receptionist (Mary) to inform her that I would not be able to make my appointment due to the infection and needing to take antibiotics x’s 02 weeks. My wife called me back and informed me that the woman she spoke with said that I would lose my deposit due to not giving them “48 hours notice”. I called the shop and after a somewhat heated exchange, which I thought was very unprofessional on her behalf to argue with a paying customer. I didn’t really care about losing my deposit, I was more upset at her lack of professionalism, her tone with me and more importantly what she said to me about how she “can’t expect to maintain a business if clients cancel appointments”. She even went on to inform me that there was a client that had a death in the family and called to inform the Blue Heron tattoo shop that a family member had passed and would have to reschedule. She told me that she could not reschedule that client because he didn’t give her 48 hours notice. I couldn’t believe what she told me. I thought it was sad and pathetic of her to say that to someone who just lost a loved one. She may have stolen our deposit money, but she will not get my service or the amount it would have cost me to complete my sleeve. “What goes around, surely will come back around” for them.

JOHN DID AN AMAZING JOB!!! EVERYONE SAYS THAT, BUT HE REALLY DID! I HAD A TAT THAT I WANTED COVERED FOR 20 YEARS BUT NEVER FOUND ANYONE OR ANYTHING GOOD ENOUGH TO PUT OVER IT.
