Facility is very clean and staff is professional and friendly (especially considering I was a walk-in and they took me back right away). Had a small piece done by Jeffrey recently and he was knowledgeable and very easy to work with. Line work is smooth and precise and pricing was very fair. I contacted Self Inflicted Studios wanting a tattoo for my daughter. I saw Mikah Webb's work on the website and from a few other reviews. He was awesome! The stencil he drew looked great. As he tattooed, he added some elements that made this tattoo look incredible. I would recommend him and the studio all day. My wife also got a tattoo from Berk. The design was exactly what she was looking for. Her first tattoo experience couldn't have been any better. We will be back very soon! Thank again

Want to get a piercing done? This shop is the right place for you! It took a minute before my best friend and I got somebody (they where getting some pizza lol) but it was worth the wait. Justin took care of my best friend, his gf, and me and he was quick and accurate. In addition, he is very thorough in the aftercare. I'm definitely coming back for more piercings!!!

I was a walk-in and only had a twenty minute wait time! It only took the tattoo artist five minutes to complete my tattoo (which was my first ever and fairly simple) and the end result was great! They were welcoming, fairly priced, professional, and clean. I will definitely be back for tattoo #2.

Jeff hooked me up with my first and only tattoo. I've wanted it for 5 years and he made it look perfect. It took about 3-4 hours. He took breaks at the perfect times and we had great raport. The entire staff was very personable. I would recommend this parlor to anyone looking to get some ink in the St Louis area.

Me and my boyfriend went in there today and i couldn't tell you the guys name but whom ever we were speaking to today I told him and showed him a picture of what I wanted and my boyfriend gave him a idea of what he was going for but he had asked him "do you have a picture?" we both sat there for a few minutes trying to find one real quick but this guy wasn't even helping us would've figured he would've tried to help draw something up considering he told him exactly what it was that he wanted. Well we went to sit back down after a minute because this dude wasn't even talking to us anymore so after sitting back down dude walked off and I was shocked because he wasn't even trying to talk to either of us. Soo needless to say after about 5 more minutes I told my boyfriend lets just go he apparently doesn't want the sale or for us to get what we came for so we left and went somewhere else and left from that shop completely satisfied. I was pretty annoyed and so was my boyfriend we both felt like this dude didn't even try to help us we sat and researched some pictures to try to help him get a better idea but he just walked off that there isn't good customer service if you ask me that's not cool at all. While the shop was very clean whom ever had talked to us I guess just didn't really care. I'm not a tattoo artist but if I was I would be drawing up stuff options for my client discussing with them we got none of that. Safe to say that first impression left it's mark on us and we won't be going back in the future.

New favorite shop in stl, it's super clean, everyone there is super friendly and all of their artist are PHENOMENAL. My first experience was with LT Woods and he did an insane job on exceeding my expectations. I plan on having the rest of my left arm done by LT and also go to the other artists as well for future pieces.

I've been going here randomly since 2011. Whatever style of tattooing you're into, with the eclectic group of artists that they have on staff, you can get literally get ANY tattoo you want here! Mikah did matching labyrinth tattoos for me and my husband while we were in town for a work trip. We originally wanted to add to the design a little, but Mikah patiently talked to us about what would work well and what wouldn’t for the size of the designs we wanted, and we trusted him. In the end, he was totally right and we love our “simple” line work anniversary tattoos!

Upon entering Self Inflicted Studios, you'll find yourself not only in a piercing and tattoo shop, but an art gallery. What really impresses me about this studio is that each tattoo and piercing artist there is multifaceted, having talents in painting, sculpting and more. This studio is very professional, clean and the staff is friendly. I appreciated their welcoming attitude...some other shops in the area are very 'smug' but that is not the case at Self Inflicted. I walked in with my tattoo design in mind, and Dustin N. was very happy to give me some advice before going under the needle. My artwork was simple geometric shapes, and was completed very quickly and with precision. I would absolutely recommend this studio to anyone wanting a tattoo or piercing. Hands down the best place to get a tattoo in St. Louis. These guys are real artists and are not just hammering out flash art tattoos for a buck. I would not get tattooed anywhere else. Whether you're all sleeved out or getting your first tattoo, you'll feel comfortable here as all of the guys/gals are friendly and professional. I sent my 50 year old neighbor to get a little tattoo on her ankle and she came back with nothing but good things to say. Jesse Tranter did my sleeve and everywhere I go I have people stopping me to ask about it. Simply put, check these guys out, you wont be disappointed.

My tattoo artist was LT Woods I came in there to get a mother daughter sleeve with elephants. He told me that it was going to be the max of $3000 when it was finished and he charged 100 an hour. So I put $800 down as a deposit for my last session. So he drew my sleeve up when I came in to check it out I wanted the trunks of the elephants up instead of down but he said no, he wasn't going for it so I just went with it cause tattoo artists know best right? So I go in for my first session to get the outline and it was 8 hours I spend over $1,000 because he said it was $150 an hour now I don't want to fight with him because he's my tattoo artist and he's tattooing something permanent on my skin so I just went along with it. Then after about two more sessions I had to cancel because my house caught on fire and then I cancel another appointment because I had to work. After i tried to cancel the appointment for when i had to work he got upset him and his girlfriend told me that they're not going to do my tattoo no more that they're going to cash out my deposit all because I canceled way too much, when i had only cancelled once before. Well I then I told my boyfriend that I basically was out $800 because they weren't going to work on my arm no more, he got pretty upset called them went off on them without me knowing trying to stick up for me. After i found out what my boyfriend did i called LT and apologize for my boyfriend, he decided to reschedule one more time and that would be my last session. So when I came in on my last session we started and I fell asleep on and off throughout the whole thing. I brought my little sister with me and she told me afterwards that every time I fell asleep he would get up and leave for a long period of time then he purposely messed up the trunk of one of the elephant, I've been told it looks like an alligator, and one of the legs to one of the elephant's is smaller than the other. Now I've paid over $3,400 on a half sleeve instead of a whole sleeve to be messed up. I have to find a new tattoo artist to finish what he didn't finish and a fix what he messed up all because of something my boyfriend said that i had no part of. To me that's very unprofessional and rude especially since I put so much money into it and have to spend more to get it fixed and finished.

We came here on Friday night with a group of girls after a conference. It was a great experience. The guys in the shop all made us feel welcome and even changed the music to something less metal (although I love metal, my coworker was not a huge fan). Jeff and Panda are awesome. Jeff did the book and coffee cup blackwork on my arm and Panda did my friend's WP Coffee Talk logo and the coffee cup with lips. It was quick, easy and the tattoos came out great. Highly recommended if you're looking for a place to get a tattoo in St. Louis. Ps- SIS should think about using WP Business Reviews on their site to embed reviews from here, Facebook, etc. directly on their site. You all rock! Flaunt it.

After being tatt'ed at SIS and seeing the level of artists that work at both locations, they are the only shop i will go to going forward.
