This is my favorite tattoo shop in Springfield! I’ve had 2 piercings and 2 tattoos done here. They are super friendly, everything is very clean. Their pricing is very reasonable, and their work is good. I love my tattoos, they did them exactly how I wanted them. And don’t you dare get your piercings done at Claire’s!! Seriously. Come to this place because the piercing guy here actually knows what he’s doing.

Luke got stuck with some people that wanted to tell him their life story and he handled it like an absolute champ. Will always go back! Definitely recomend.

First let me say I love this place and get all my piercings here and have never had a problem. Chewy put a birdcage over an existing heart tat I had. The stencil looked great but my tattoo looks like prison tattoo. The line work doesn't match up in places. The birdcage is different on either side. I wanted my heart more vibrant. He put a blue and white blob at the top which I still don't understand. He outlined the heart so heavy that I don't know what can be done. I'm almost 2 weeks healing and hoping this can be fixed. I love this shop. I truly want to remain a patron. I need more ink. What can I do?

I went in last Thursday for a nose piercing. Great price btw best around and gave me specifically what I asked for! One of extremely few shops around here will pierce with a hoop! I was in and out in less than 10 minutes no wait time and the stuff I bought for $5 to keep my piercing clean is totally worth it! It smells like tea tree oil but it’s not and I’m not fond of that scent but it definitely keeps your hole clean. Guy said it’s good for about 10 days of cleansing. Pretty sure I’m getting a lot more out of it :) happy customer

The staff here are incredibly friendly and fun! Always joking and making you feel comfortable. They seem knowledgeable and approachable, willing to help. Totally confident in the cleanliness of the store. No problems will healing. The only problems we have with it are the piercings we have are a bit off, although I'm sure that happens all the time. My fiance got his septum pierced and it is crooked, one side drifting to the back, and I got my nipples pierced and one piercing is basically on the nipple instead of the junction of the nipple and areola (just a little more painful and a little less symmetrical with the other one). We aren't too worried about either, and they are so well priced and so much fun that we will always go back to Next Gen!

BEWARE! Nathan did a tattoo for me 2 weeks ago. It was my mothers handwriting. He made copies of her handwriting, placed it on my arm, got it perfectly straight, and started the tattoo... Upon completion, I was HORRIFIED! He didn't follow the lines and ended up misspelling a word and giving me a grammatical error permanently on my skin.. Jon, the owner, refused a refund, stating that I got what I paid for using a "cheap" artist... BEWARE OF THIS "CHEAP" SHOP!

I am just ecstatic with the tattoos I got here tonight. My artist was Chewy, and the tattoos turned out phenomenal. I had a cover up done over a homemade tattoo and it turned out amazing, you can't even see the old hideous tattoo that it replaced. The tattoo on my inner forearm turned out just how I wanted it too and I am overall very happy with the work. Chewy and the rest of the staff were super friendly, and we had some good laughs there too lol. I would recommend Next Generation to all my friends and family for sure!!
