Wasnt real impressed their clothes selection was lacking even with that other shop inside the same building. I would give Kaleidoscope 5 stars they have a good atmosphere and a good selection a products for all the lines they carry. My problem lies with the staff and some of their attitudes. All of the female staff I dealt with were great had to deal with the manager Kim she gets 5 stars. Here's the deal I live an hour away each way my wife and I went in to get her septum pierced the older guy that helped us was rude it seemed like maybe it was due to how busy they were and it was just too much for him it seemed every time we asked to see something inside the glass case we were putting him out that was our first experience our second experience would be the next day the ball on my wife's horseshoe for her septum piercing fell off the first night my wife called spoke with Kim like I said Kim was awesome said come in and we'll make it right and give you a free ball and a discount on the next piece of jewelry the young guy we approached to help us told us it was first come first served so after driving an hour's time we had to wait in the store over an hour to have a piercer put a ball back on the jewelry we asked if we could leave to get a bite to eat and we're told we could lose our place in line first come first served you can see where my frustration comes from the ball shouldn't have fell off in the first place then being made to wait over an hour after driving an hour was just ridiculous my wife told the younger guy we were dealing with that Kim the store manager said we would not have to wait it's like it didn't even register with him he said first come first served was very short and rude about it I would be giving one or two stars if it wasn't for the rest of the staff making up 4 this one guy's attitude and unprofessionalism

Kaleidoscope is a Springfield institution. They have been in business for at least 40 years? And there's a reason! I've had two of my piercings done here and bought several pieces of jewelry. The piercing room is very clean. And the guys who have done my piercings have been very professional! I've never had any problems with my piercings and when I needed to have my jewelry changed, they've done it for free as long as I bought the jewelry from them. I would definitely recommend Kaleidoscope!! In fact, I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

My daughter recently had some piercing done. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, and clean. They were very busy that day and let us know that we would have about an hour wait. We just took our time looking around the shop and reading books. Once we got in to see Tim he discussed how to keep things clean. He marked out the piercings to make sure they were even and efficiently pierced her ears. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience and would highly recommend them for piercing.

I had went against my better judgement and got snake bites done at next generation because they were cheap. Instantly I knew I had messed up, they were crooked!! The guy who pierced my lip had a bad attitude and I didnt feel comfortable having him poke another hole in me. So I left and drove to kaleidoscope ready to pay whatever I needed to to get the peircing taken out. The guy (I forgot his name) was very nice and took it out for me free of charge. I cannot express how much more professional kaleidoscope is compared to any other piercing shop I've been in. When my piercings heal (I left one in) I will go to kaleidoscope to get mine repierced and get lip rings :D

The first time I went there, everything went smoothly. I didn’t know what to expect so my standards were: a clean place for them to I advised the original piercer that I had had problems with a piercing years back because it developed a keloid and ended up getting infected because of the piercer. Someone behind the counter (a female) suggested I get hoop earrings because “they are the ones that heal the easiest” and they were the cheapest earring option. I paid $200+ for four ear piercings. Nothing fancy just my second and third earlobe piercing. I quickly realized that something wasn’t right when I went in two times after my original hoop earrings were put in and they weren’t healing, they were swollen and developing keloids despite keeping up with aftercare but I was being told it was normal and just to use saline wash and even incorporate Emu oil into my aftercare. Three months after my earrings were pierced, ANOTHER piercer from Kaleidoscope told me that the hoops almost always have a hard time healing and can cause you to get a keloid. I had four keloids. He advised me to change to regular post earrings. So I changed my earrings to a regular post piercing. I then had to pay $90-100 more to change from the hoops to the post earrings. I went back after a couple of weeks because the piercer put posts that were too small in my ear and they were digging into my ear. I was not charged anything. Today, I went back because I needed to change the posts back to shorter ones, since the swelling is gone and the keloids have subsided. They told me it would be $10 per post. I was a little confused because they had not charged me before. So naturally, i questioned why they would charge me since I hadn’t paid the previous time. The piercer was a little rude (maybe having a bad day) and told me he couldn’t “give me jewelry for free”. I wasn’t asking for anything for free. I just was wondering why i hasn’t been charged before. He told me that the piercer gives back the posts after they change them, but i didn’t receive anything back. He then took me to the back to attempt to identify who changed my posts and their license pictures are so outdated, i obviously cannot. It’s been 7 months since I got my earrings pierced and all I wanted was to have a piercing that fit me right. It isn’t my fault someone didn’t do their job or maybe does things differently from the way another person does. Or I don’t know what happened there, but honestly, it isn’t worth the money. The service is lacking and I’d rather support a business that cares about what their doing to someone’s body, rather than nickel and diming them. I have two pairs of hoop earrings I was told to buy, paid $200+ for and I can’t do anything about those or wear them because they irritate my ears, yet this business is worried about charging $10 PER POST to change something out.

The shop as a whole is pretty awesome. But the tattoo artist are not. I got a rose tattoo quoted at $300 what I wanted was a red rose, I got a black rose! the tattoo artist refused to add color because he didn’t have time... at the end he told me the tattoo now cost 650! An extra $350 For a tattoo I hide and am not happy with at all.

Get workers! They've got really amazing things upstairs and downstairs. Body piercings,tattoos cheap at cost. They've also have an adults only area where you and a partner can pick out all kinds of things to spice up things in the bedroom or wherever you desire. Kaleidoscope is the place to go.

I always had a positive experience at Kaleidoscope. I got pierced there 3 times by two different piercers. Both of them were very friendly and informative. Everything was always very clean and organized. They also have quite a bit of jewelry to choose from. I would highly recommend getting pierced there, even for ear piercings! It’s worth going to a professional for all piercings.

The downstairs area is super friendly and nice but once you go upstairs it changes... I have multiple large tattoos (not visible) and went to ask about a approximate quote on a tattoo I want and they treated me like I was stupid. No smile when I was standing there. I don't think tattoo shops realise if you were a little nicer I bet your pocket books would be a whole lot fatter.

Staff was really impersonal and short. And honestly when you take an item that costs a 1.60 and mark it up to 20 don't wonder why people won't shop local. I was about to order a set of Silicon gauges from amazon but would rather put money in the pockets of local business ppl, but not when they're just gonna gouge the consumer. Otherwise cool atmosphere and good work from what I could see.
