Don’t recommend coming here if it’s your first time for piercing. The only option they had was a hoop. It was our first time to get pierced and she was ready to just get us in and out, no explanation for what she was going to do. Didn’t put us at ease. Plus we really wanted a simple stud, I thought that would be a standard option at any shop.

Went there today for the free silhouette tattoos. They were only going to see 8 people. Was first in line. People kept getting called before us. Was told at 9pm after sitting there since 10 am that we would not be seen. Because she had already tattooed for 8 hrs. Which is a lie because she took 45 min breaks between people. Will never go back! Bunch of BS

Just had my tattoo done here by Kayden and he was great! Did an amazing job on my tattoo and was very professional and personable. I had brought in a custom drawn picture by my dad and he did a great job with it! I would certainly recommend him to my friends and family.

I walked in to ask for pricing on a tattoo and they were charging me 80$ in comparison to another tattoo shop I was visiting in Burnsville which was wanting to charge me 140$!! The staff was super friendly. I was in and out in under 20 min. Thank you Ben!!

Let me start this off by saying that this was the first time I have EVER gotten a tattoo before so I was more than a little hesitant/worried about the process. We went into the shop on July 20th, was greeted by a very nice woman (Selina), and the first thing you'll notice is the AMAZING artwork all over the walls. To say that they've got some professional designers in there would be an understatement. We proceeded to show her the design/style we were looking to get, and the area on our body we were wanting it on. She went over all of the options with us, helped us pick out the design/location that was going to work best, and was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. She passed our design onto the artist (Jason) who came back with 3 stencils for us to choose from. My wife went with the smaller design and I went with the next step up. After waiting a little bit, the artist came out, introduced himself, and led us into the back. We went over who was going to go first (I decided to, since if my wife did and I saw it, I might of hedged even more lol). Jason proceeded to put the stencil on my arm, and then said "Here's a little line of the stencil so you can feel what this is going to be like and get acclimated to it". People say it's like thousands of bee stings, but honestly? I didn't feel that at all. I had a little twinge at first, but after that, it was smooth sailing from there. He was very careful, detailed and made sure that the design came out exactly the way we were both wanting it to. The entire time he was working he was engaging us in conversation to take our minds off of what was going on, and I felt like the time flew by and was not rushed whatsoever. Needless to say, this won't be my last tattoo that my wife and I will be getting and the next time we're wanting one done, we're making the trek back up to the Twin Cities (we're from Iowa) and will be going back to Jason/Selina and the gang at Mutiny Tattoo. EXCEPTIONAL Service :) :) :) thanks again guys soooooo much!!! You are truly masters of your craft.

GREAT PLACE!! I did not go to Munity for a tattoo but my piercing turned out wonderful! Mary answered all the questions i asked even if they did not have anything to do with the piercing i was about to receive. The environment of the shop is very chill and if i had to compare it to another place in the cities i would FOR SURE say that Munity is a smaller version of Saint Sabrinas. VERY clean, VERY welcoming, an all around great experience and i recommend them to anyone!

I had 5 tats on me prior to going to Mutiny to get my most recent job done, which was this past Mon. Out of all the tats I have had done the one I got from Mutiny was excellent. By far the most artistic and best drawn tat I have ever gotten. Tommy was my artist and he did a standout job. Once the work was finally finished it was well beyond what my expectations were in the beginning. If I ever get another tat in the Twin Cities area I'm only going to Mutiny. Great job, you guys kick ass!

Piercer was very nice and the piercing itself was good but after asking and hoping for questions answered, the piercer basically implied I didn't need any sort of aftercare for my septum piercing. I get that it's an 8 week heal and not bad but keeping an open wound clean is paramount to your health and safety to stave off infection. If you go here, please research beforehand and use proper aftercare cleaning. It's just dangerous to not inform people of healthy practices. It is the piercer responsibility to inform the customer of healthy practices, otherwise it's just blatant negligence.

TERRIBLE place. tattoo artist has not finished my tattoo, its been 3 years and gave him $500 upfront! every time i made and appointment, tried to schedule one tried to go into the shop, no one was there or answered the phone.

I went in looking for replacement jewelry for my nose, which was pierced far longer ago than I need to explain. I perused their jewelry case and didn't find what I was looking for. I asked for assistance in finding a small, plain, flat, sterling silver, stud. It took 25 minutes for someone to come out to meet with me. This dude explained that he didn't know much about piercings, but knew enough to say what I was looking for rarely is available, anywhere.

I saw Levi for my second tattoo. I wanted an outline of the Minneapolis skyline on my left forearm. Levi went out of his way to find the best view of the skyline so that the buildings would match the contour of my arm. Really nice guy. Made some casual and comfortable small talk and really cared about how much pain I was or wasn't in throughout the whole process. I will definitely go back to him when it's time for tattoo #3.

Went in saturday, as a walk in, AFTER reading Google reviews on the artists, figured it was a safe bet seeing as the ratings were high. Wanted to get my dog's paw prints with a rainbow behind them after she passed away the morning before. I spent $220 for Tommy to put something on my arm that makes me want to throw up every time I look at it. For someone who "has been doing it for 2o years" I expected something that looked like a skilled artist put together. Instead I got something that looks like he didn't give two f*cks about it or what it meant to me. Hoping to God, the woman I asked to fix this mess can bring the beauty to it that my best friend deserves.

I went to Mutiny for a tattoo cover up. They suggested that I go to Alex Morse for it, he ended up being incredible, nice, and easy to work with. The shop as a whole will make suggestions for your tattoo to make it better for design purposes and/or for you as the individual. I have been back for more tattoos since because I really trusted him as an artist for my other ideas that I wanted done. I also noticed how clean and well kept the shop is, which is something you look for in a tattoo shop as well. This space exceeded any expectations as a tattoo shop and more, the staff is wonderful and easy to talk to about anything tattoo/piercing, they have a ton of piercing merchandise and will help you with just about anything you need!

My friend and I stopped here on our way through Minneapolis, me to get my second ear piercing and her to get her nose done, and it was great! We both were pierced by Selina and she did a great job. She was professional and personable and did a great job with both of us. The shop was clean ad had a great vibe to it as well, I would definitely recommend it! The only downside is that they take cash only and we didn't know that ahead of time, but the store next door has an atm.

I have come 3 times over the last couple years and I swear this place does not want my money1.jewelery they said I should go to st Sabrinas 2. A tattoo quote the guy wasn't available come back in a few hours 3. Piercing the guy said he doesn't really like to do the specific piercing and quoted me double st. Sabrinas quote and said they only had basic piercing jewelry. Main girl at front didn't know anything and I'm done trying to give them my business even though it's only a few blocks away. St sabrinas it is.

I went with hope, left with a bad impression. See update at the bottom. I was here to get a tattoo with my wife. The two of us were on a date and exploring the Twin Cities. We called a head to find out if they had openings. They did. While here, we had our sleeping infant with us. We were told by the staff that the owner had something against children in his shop. It was 98 F out. We were not about to leave a child in the car, nor have one of us wait in the car. Our child was sleeping as we wanted something small (2"x2") that wasn't very complex. We talked to the artist who was available. He said he'd check with the owner. The owner kept hiding in the back instead of coming to the front to deal with us. The artist had started sketching a tattoo design for us. We were very pleased with his preliminary sketches. After about 15 minutes, the owner came close enough to the front for the artist to talk to him. The owner delegated to the artist to refuse service since we had our child with us. The owner refused to talk to us himself. The place was empty and we were told they didn't have any appointments for a few hours. I wouldn't write this review if the owner had had the guts to come talk to me himself. I feel sorry for the artist who had a sweet design that we couldn't get because the owner. Based on my impressions of the owner, I would not recommend this place. I hope the employees find a better tattoo parlor where their drive and skills are better used. UPDATE: The owner did respond to this review, but still didn't have the balls to talk to me directly while I was in the shop. I do not believe it reflects well on the owner's character. Also, I don't buy the response about children being unpredictable. When you have chairs in private rooms and a separate waiting room, there's no way a 4 month old would be a distraction. Especially to a professional artist.

I got a tattoo from here about a year ago of 2 black bands around my right forearm. Tommy Epps who was the artist had me bleeding so much from my tattoo. He rushed it in an hour. I have visible scars left over from the tattoo and patches missing. Looks as though someone took sharpie and just scribbled some black lines around my arm. I dont reccomend coming here for walk ins. The guy seemed irritated about my request for the tattoo, could have just turned me away if he didnt want to do it.

I'm one of those nerds who does things like get really picky over quality lines, shading, and basic stuff like that. I like big, bold tattoos that I'll be able to tell apart from my liver spots ~30 years down the road, and things like clean lines and even shading make a big difference in the lifespan of your tattoos. Mutiny Tattoo keeps my business because I'll never have to worry about those things when I'm getting tattooed. I've been there 3 times, twice by Benny and once by Jason, and plan on going back for a lot more sessions. The staff has always been friendly, receptive to ideas, and good at providing input to newcomers who might be struggling with a concept. Whether it's flash or custom work, I never hesitate recommending Mutiny.

Called to get a piercing they said their piercer would be in at 12 I got there a little after 12:30 and they said he didn't even work that day drove 20 min , piercing shops need to get better sceduals for their customers Although I am sure their piercings and tattoos are amazing a the timing is off

Mutiny is my FAVORITE place to get tattooed. I get tattooed by Jason Donnor, and he does a wonderful job. My fiancé, and our entire family get tattooed by Jason. I highly recommend him. Jason is great to chat with, and makes the whole situation very comfortable. I also love everyone who works at the shop. I have had quite a few conversations with Benny, as well as Lucky. Than just side chat here and there with the other artists. I do not have a single complaint about any of them. If you want to get a tattoo or piercing, Mutiny is the place to go!
