If you are looking for a clean and inviting shop for your first or next tattoo, Beloved Studios is where you want to go. I met Sarah Jane a few years ago when I needed a tattoo that I have had for years touched up. She cleaned up the line work and made the piece more feminine to the point that it didn't look like the same tattoo. When I went in for my second and third tattoos, Sarah Jane took my general and vague descriptions of what I was looking and turned them into works of art. This studio is full of talent and each artist there has their own original style. Beloved is one of the best kept secrets in the metro and is the only shop that I will go to.

Super sanitary shop! However I am very sad about the way my tattoo turned out. I am going to another artist to get it redone into something better. My artist was Seth. Wouldnt recommend. Now that my tattoo is healed i hate it even more. The placement that was suggested by my artist looks weird. Also some of the lines disappeared during healing

Travis at Beloved Studios is AWESOME! I had researched artists for months and viewed their portfolios searching for someone who was great at black & white, shading and real-life type tattoos. Once I came across Travis's portfolio, I knew he was a perfect fit for what I wanted. When I met with him one on one to discuss my idea and picture, we just clicked. He understood exactly what I was trying to achieve... a feminine skull that was made up of lace, flowers.. almost like my grandma's doillies. Remember these ? I completed my first of two sessions.. so we are almost done and my tattoo is amazing. The detail is crazy good. We are now talking about how I can connect my existing lower sleeve to my skull that is on my shoulder and he has amazing ideas. I can not wait ! Check out his portfolio... Travis is super talented!

Beloved is a one of a kind original studio with more talent than an art museum. I have had two pieces done here and the design process from start to finish is like no other. Give them some ideas and interests and you will end up with a masterpiece that will not disappoint. This is tattoo studio that is breaking the mold of what most people think a tattoo studio is. I urge anyone who is thinking of getting work done to browse their website, look at the portfolios and schedule a consultation with the artist that "speaks" to them. If you are looking to pick your tattoo out of a book or a number off of a wall this shop is not for you.

I went to Travis Daugherty at Beloved Studios for my first tattoo. I turned 30 this year and have been designing and planning tattoos for about 15 years, so it was really important for me to find an artist that could take my ideas and translate it into a true piece of art. Travis blew my expectations completely out of the water. I thought I liked my idea when I described it to Travis, but when Travis showed me his vision for the piece I was over the moon. I have quite a bit of work I hope to get done over the next few years, and I will absolutely be coming back to Travis for all of it. I can't recommend his work enough!

Love the aesthetic of this place Beloved Studios is part Tattoo Shop and part art gallery and all awesome. It is so much fun to walk around and take a look at Brandon and the other artist fantastic work all over the walls. My wife's tattoo artist, Seth Mcbeth did an amazing job! A bit restrictive on the hours overall but I think that helps keep more serious clientele so there aren't folks getting their SO's name on their lower back at midnight. I chose Beloved Studios based on Google Review and Yelp Review. Now, I would like to give a pitch of my own experience. The studio is very nice and cozy with very welcoming staff members. More importantly, they have a various artists' Galleries on their website, which related each artist style and design. I would recommend that you should check before hand, hence, you know who would fit best for your design. For me, I had Travis as my artist to finish up my half sleeve Polynesian tattoo on my right arm, as I knew that he had done some works on them before. He is very a skillful artist and suggested me a few improvisation , which helped to make my previous design look even better! I would highly recommend this studio to everyone. Pro Tip: Try to get a consultation and make an appointment as early as possible. As for me, it took almost 3 months for my appointment for a 4-hours session. Well, worth the wait!!

This studio is great, everyone is friendly, and the interior is comfortable - music isn't blaring and there's plenty to look at in most parts. The other artists and support staff might randomly pop in to take a peek at the work, which is cool. I have no complaints except that's it's so close to the State Fairgrounds, but just plan accordingly and it's no issue!

Dan is THE MAN!! He listened to my ideas, but he also stuck with his own design aesthetic which I respect because that's what makes him a great artist. Beloved is hands down the best, they're absolutely amazing! I have received work from both Brandon and Dan over the last few years; they are both incredibly talented and passionate artists. Back in 2010, I had finally worked up the courage to go into Beloved for a consultation. I'd been wanting a big back tattoo of wings for years and had thought long and hard about where I wanted to get that done. After doing a lot of research and hunting around online, Beloved was the winner by far. Brandon was receptive to my ideas and expanded my initial simple idea into a work of art. That's what I so appreciate about the artists at Beloved--you give them your ideas and give them room to play and you will get back something wonderful. He and Dan ended up collaborating on that first piece and tandem tattooed my back.Originally I had said just black and white because I couldn't think of what colors would look right. Dan and Brandon came up with a beautiful color palette that totally fits my personality. I still am amazed how much they nailed it. I feel like a walking masterpiece every day. I love how their individual styles are still noticeable but at the same time form a cohesive composition. After the back piece, I had Dan expand it down my right arm in 2013. I constantly get asked if it's real, because people can't believe a tattoo can be so vivid and detailed. I'm just chomping at the bit to get my left arm inked too. And now today, I had Dan do a small, simple butterfly, but he still put so much detail and care into it. No matter the size or design I always know Dan will do his best--there is nothing he considers too boring or simple. You can get a tattoo almost anywhere these days...but if you want a work of art, go to Beloved.

I absolutely loved going to Beloved Studios. Every time I've been there, everyone has been so nice and welcoming. I got my second tattoo done by Travis. I gave him a rough sketch and the idea behind it and he turned it into a masterpiece. I can't think of anyone else to go to from now on. The atmosphere at Beloved is incredible. It really seems like everyone there is a family. Even if you're not sure about getting a tattoo, go and consult with them and they will tell you everything you need to know and they will answer every question. I went to Beloved Studios recently and was EXTREMELY impressed. Aaron did my tattoo. It was my first, and is an infinity sign with a cross and date incorporated on my wrist. He was very personable and very detail oriented. He let us take pictures and was reasonably priced. The studio itself was really nice, and it had an artsy feel without feeling like a hole in the wall. It also felt very professional and differed in that sense from Saint Sabrina's, which has a much more medical feel. I would recommend Beloved Studios to anyone, and try to get Aaron to do your tattoo!

Felt a little intimidated walking into the tattoo shop but CM was very friendly and easy to talk to. The tattoo is not what I had imagined but still love how it turned out. There was a guy next to me who was about to faint while getting his tattoo done and they offered him a glucose pill and food and sprite and I just thought that was very kind. My friend and I had our first tattoo experience here today with Seth. We came in with a good idea of what we each wanted, and Seth went over the designs with us and walked us through how to make them better and more fitting for a tattoo format. We thought they looked good on paper, and with his guidance they look even better on skin! Seriously a down to earth and cool person too! The shop itself was very clean, well lit, and had an open layout. It had an awesome vibe all around. Cool artwork and decor everywhere. This is one excellent place to get some incredible tattoo work done. I have had work done by CM before at his old studio, and when I walked into Beloved to have a tattoo finished up from prior, I was actually awestruck. The atmosphere is absolutely incredible, very welcoming, a very polite and professional staff! As far as the work that comes out of this place, it is top notch! This isn't a place where you bring in a picture and get it slapped on. I have only gotten work done by CM, but it looks like every portfolio I browsed is masterpiece after masterpiece- I bring in a picture for a concept, throw in my ideas/thoughts in what I want the tattoo to mean, and CM has always drawn up something so much more then I expect, and it works perfectly with the location of the tattoo- I cannot say enough how satisfied I am with the work from CM and the quality of the studio. I don't think I will ever go anywhere else.

I have contacted other tattoo studios and some took a week, others still haven’t gotten back. My artist provided many suggestions to my tattoo design and I could not love it any more. I went into the studio thinking I was going to have a simple design tattooed but learned really quickly that the people there are artists... Brandon didn't want to use an ordinary design-- he wanted a piece of art- something full of meaning and something that was significant to me. So, I was challenged to think deeper into what I wanted. Brandon drew it up and it was incredible. I have received complements everywhere I go-- It is truly a piece of artwork that I am proud to have. It brings a whole new perspective to having a tattoo. I would definitely recommend it... If you want something simple tattooed on your body, go somewhere else; but if you want a piece of art and something to be proud of, get the work done here.

I wanted him to blend together my husbands face and his favorite spirit animal the wolf. I would much rather have someone working on me that is enthusiastic about the job and confident in their skills for that particular project and I greatly respected his honesty on the subject. The rest of the staff has been nothing but polite. I always look forward to going in for work because I know I am seeing real people who are interested in what they're doing as well as what you're having done. I've had work done elsewhere that left a bad taste in my mouth for tattooing. This place completely changed my view of things. I'll be going back for all my work and recommend it to all my friends.
