Awen is a professional top-notch artist! I never thought I would get a tattoo, but because I know and trust him, I went for it. The studio and all equipment is superior in the clean department. Comfortable chair, your choice of music, and Awen made my husband and I feel very comfortable. Honestly, I wouldn't go anywhere else. My art turned out fantastic and never even had so much as an itch afterwards...same with my husband and his was a lot bigger and more complicated than mine. Awen is easy to work with (trust me, I changed my mind a few times before THE day.) And while you're there...buy one of his sweatshirts! They're very soft and comfortable.

Awen is an amazing and talented artist! He's kind and professional, his shop is clean and his tattoo chair is comfy. I went to Art With A Point to have a memorial piece done after my husband passed away. I described what I wanted and the design Awen came up with was beautiful and so much better than anything I'd ever imagined. If you're in the Twin Cities and want quality ink, I highly recommend him! I love my tats from Art With A Point and I'll never go anywhere else!

I can't say enough about my experience with Awen. He met with me to plan out my tattoo, (which we actually started talking about 7 years ago), and took a lot of time asking questions to get a feel for what i wanted. He has an almost magical intuition, and drew up *the exact* design i had in my mind's eye. Its beautiful and it's me. the studio is quiet and calm and bright - which i wouldn't have thought much about - but when you are sitting in the chair for 2 hours at a shot, calm and quiet is good. And Awen is this calm and easy person (who also knows a helluva lot about Minnesota wolves, so you should ask him while you're sitting in the chair). His work is beautiful, his attention to detail, color, shading, nuance is brilliant. I have this piece of his body art that is unique, just mine, and i love it.

Awen is amazing! Got a coverup done 2 years ago on my hip. had a small single rose but with my other tattoos it looked out of place and wanted it covered up with bigger roses. He drew up exactly what I wanted and was even better than I imagined. He got the piece done so quick and the tattoo has held up so well and is so vibrant. The old tattoo cannot be seen at all. I know he is booked up months and up to a year in advance but its so worth it. I HIGHLY recommend him for anyone needing a coverup tattoo or just a really one of a kind piece!

AMAZING Cover-UP Work!!! After receiving an absolutely hideous tattoo at a different shop, I was ready to shave the inked skin right off my back. I did some research and after seeing his beautiful tribal cover-ups, Awen's Art With a Point seemed like the only solution. I have a limited schedule and he was flexible with appointment dates to work around my schedule. I was so embarrassed by my original tattoo that I didn't take my shirt off in front of anyone for nearly a year and needed help. There's a reason that the Art With a Point artists are in such high demand! Awen and Matt were absolutely great--they took AWESOME care of me during the appointment and designed a tattoo that I love. It turned out way better than I could have expected and I absolutely 100% recommend them to anyone looking for coverup art. Been whipping my shirt off left and right to show off the new ink. I was able to wear a bikini to the beach for the first time in a year without being embarrassed by the original tattoo. Awen is a genius and his tribal work is excellent. 10/10 recommend.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Awen. He and I corresponded for a while over email, sharing ideas, sketches, and images, and I really felt like we were partners in the process of designing my tattoo. I got a particularly emotionally significant tattoo as it was a memorial tattoo, and he handled it with such respect and understanding. Treated it as sacred, really. It was really wonderful. I get compliments on my tattoo everywhere I go; he added some visual ideas I would have never thought of that really makes it a beautiful, unique piece and I absolutely love the tattoo and my experience.
