It was nerve racking due to the type of piercing I wanted to get, to get it done because I believe the shop is male owned so there’s more males then anything but they joke around with you and give you piercing humor to make you feel a little more comfortable !

I got a really amazing tattoo yesterday! Bill Le definitely took a few liberties in my original design but I am extremely happy with the outcome. I got a small tattoo done here two and a half weeks ago and it looks amazing. Vinny (I believe) checked me in and helped clean up the design I had doodled and brought in with me. Family guy was on TV behind him and he laughed along while listening to the TV as I watched him work on the computer. Jamie was my artist and he was also a very nice guy—everyone there was easy to talk to. It was my first tattoo and lying in the chair was unnerving because it felt like being in a dentist's chair (I do not enjoy trips to the dentist) but Jamie assured me that it was nowhere near as bad as the dentist, which it wasn't! I have already, and would in the future, recommend this team to people.

My friend and I went to Holistic for matching tattoos. We walked in on a whim with a basic idea for what we wanted. We ended up working with James. He took all of the hundreds of ideas we had made a perfect sketch, sized it perfectly and he helped us pick colors that would really pop for our individual (very) different skin tones. He was really friendly and more importantly was an excellent artist and prices were competitive! Between my friend and I we have well over 20 tattoos and we agreed that this was one of the best tattoo experiences we’ve ever had! Will definitely go back there to get work done again!

I can’t begin to explain how much I love my new tattoo just after one sitting (3 or 4 still to go). Vinny is an unreal artist. What’s a nice group of people that work here. Jamie, the gentleman who did my earlobes and nose was a very kind and funny guy. He walked me through the process of poking 5 holes in my face very kindly, and cracked jokes to ease my anxiety at the same time. Too bad I forgot about all his kindness when he shoved a needle through my nose. He did warn me it would hurt, but it really REALLY hurt. Tears rolled out of both of my eyes. But the pain was worth it. The piercings look lovely, he did a great job picking out the spots. As for all the other lovely employees, they are also very amicable and easy to talk to. The atmosphere in this shop is lovely, and the work is worth every penny. I absolutely recommend.

I came to Boston for the weekend and wanted to get a tattoo with a few friends. I am so happy we ended up finding Holistic Ink! The artist I had was great. I have 3 other tattoos and each one was done in CT by artists who were very hand heavy - Billy from Holistic Ink was the complete opposite. I’m not kidding when I say it was basically painless! He did a beautiful job with the monarch butterfly I chose. I would absolutely travel the 3 hours back to Holistic for another tattoo! Everyone who worked there was super friendly and accommodating (especially for a group of 4 people that were all walk-ins), and most importantly, the shop was clean. I highly recommend Holistic Ink!!

Mimi took care of my tattoo and while I was waiting (for less than 30 minutes) she made sure to keep me updated and comfortable. She spoke to me by name and made sure to give me all the proper facts on the way the shop works and how to take care of my tattoo. Vinny is the best artist around! Super quality work, I get compliments all the time. He also works fast instead of milking each session to charge you extra money. He’s finishing my whole sleeve in under 20 hours when other artists said they’d take 30-40... and his still comes out way nicer.

I walked into this shop on a Sunday afternoon honestly expecting to be turned around and sent home because it was so late in the day, but they were able to squeeze me with such a short wait time! Everyone in the shop was so friendly and can have great conversations. The entire place was so clean (which in any store is always a plus, but more importantly for a tattoo shop) I was tattooed by Mimi and she is by far one of the best I’ve been to!!! She’s so chill and down to earth, we chatted about our kids the whole time. She made me feel so calm and comfortable it was the least painful tattoo I’ve ever got because of how calm and relaxed she made me (& it was on my fingers so I was expecting the worst). She’s a born natural! I highly recommend any artist here, all their portfolios are amazing. Whether youre from Dorchester, Boston or even out of state this is definitely a place to stop in to if your looking for an amazing tattoo experience!
