PLACE IS A SCAM! If I could give this place no stars I would! The owner Erik charges $80 for a down payment. I gave Erik my money. Come to find out that the drawing he did looked nothing like the photo I showed him. He also told me that my favorite part of the photo would not work. BEST PART IS that I am a USMC Veteran, and still currently still in active duty. We all know we don’t get paid a lot and Erik wouldn’t even give me half my money back

I got a tattoo from Daniel Bythewood here and it was a phenomenal experience from the moment I walked in for a consultation. This was my first tattoo, a relatively small bird on the inside of my bicep, and for a first timer I couldn't have received better instructions or care. It's the little things they do, apart from the art which speaks for itself, that culminate into a 5/5 experience. Highly recommend.

Great artist, clean, friendly staff. And special shout-out for having artist that can carry a conversation while doing work. Definitely a great spot

MY RATING IS ONLY BECAUSE OF ONE ARTIST, THAT ARTIST WOULD BE BILL BYERS. THE GUY USED TO TATTOO ME OVER AT ERIDANOS IN CAMBRIDGE. HE HAS BEEN WORKING ON MY ARM AND HAS DONE MOST OF THE WORK FOR ME. MY PROBLEM WAS THAT I EMAILED HIM AND TEXTED HIM CONSISTENTLY FOR THE LAST TWO WEEKS, HE KEPT IGNORING IT. I KNOW HE GOT MY EMAIL BECAUSE HIS ASSISTANT RECEIVED MY EMAIL AND REPLIED TO ME ASKING WHAT I WANTED TO GET DONE, AFTER THAT I WAS IGNORED WITH NO REPLY WHATSOEVER. I CALLED AND ASKED THE GUY WHO ANSWERED TO TELL BILL TO GET BACK TO ME AND STILL NOTHING. I HAD $2000 WORTH OF WORK TO GET DONE. I WAS BUMMED TO BECAUSE HE REALLY IS A GOOD ARTIST, I JUST DON'T THINK HE CARED ENOUGH TO GET BACK TO ME.

Was here last week to get work done by Brian Hemming. I've been going to him for over a year now and am always blown away by his work. The shop is spotless and has lots of great flash and artwork. Easy to get to location in Oak Square with lots of free street parking. Will be back soon to get more work done.

Bill Byers does absolutely amazing black and grey as well as color realism and portraiture. I had no intention of getting a full sleeve but after I got my fathers portrait on my fore arm, I knew I had found a truly exceptional artist and continued to give him free reign over my entire sleeve. It was the best decision ever and I came out with a much better sleeve then I could have ever imagined. People comment on my sleeve in amazement on a frequent basis. Bill is also super nice and a pleasure to work with as are all the people who work at this exceptionally rad shop. Cheers

Such a GREAT shop, the set up is really nice, even the floors are pretty. super good vibes, feels like anyone is welcome. All the tattooers there have beautiful work, and they can all do different things. I have been tattooed by Bill Byers, Erik Reith and Josh McAlear, and can't wait to get one from Brain Hemming!!!

The shop is clean, friendly, professional and full of some of the most talented artists I’ve seen in Boston. The decor is gorgeously eclectic and the area in Brighton is an adorable hive of hustle and bustle. Looking in any direction will give you something interesting to see or do; highly recommend.
