This tattoo shop is ridiculously expensive. My first tattoo (walk-in) they charged me $100, because they said that was the minimum charge for any tattoo regardless of size. (My tattoo was super tiny by the way) I still liked it and the tattoo guy was definitely experienced. The second time I went I got a medium sized tattoo. I paid $160 for it which I think was still way too expensive. The tattoo is just ok. It lacks a lot of the details I asked for. The guy who did it seemed somewhat nervous and inexperienced. I honestly don't love it. I noticed a few days later that some of the lines were crooked and other parts of my tattoo are barely visible. Their customer service was ok. After my two experiences I honestly wouldn't go back. **Update - After months of contemplation, I finally decided to get the second tattoo removed. I just couldn’t accept the way the tattoo looked. The lines weren’t sharp/clear. Part of the tattoo faded completely away. My biggest mistake with BTC was not completely reviewing the tattoo artists’ experience/work. Big mistake. Please do your research. (Side note: I never went back for a partial refund, or to even give them my feedback of not being at all satisfied with the tattoo. I should have though, but I let it slide and took the loss)

The BEST!! 100% sanitary and clean. Professionals that know their stuff. All very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They're all great there, but when it comes to tattoos, my opinion is that Roz is the best! She is an amazing artist and she's extremely friendly. It actually makes getting a tattoo enjoyable.

I was tattooed by Roz, and I couldn't be happier with the results! She was easy to talk to, super understanding when I had to reschedule at one point, and is WICKED TALENTED. I got custom ink and it ended up not only being gorgeous, but reasonably priced. The shop was professional and all the staff I interacted with were nice. The downstairs is very atmospheric, but then the tattoo parlor upstairs is as sterile as any good tattoo place should be. I would HIGHLY recommend getting work done here.

My friend went here for a small tattoo; her tattoo was a mess lol. However, as I sat to wait for her rude guy Mike to finish up I watched his co-worker do a beautiful tatt on a guy. Coloring and art was amazing. Also the guy Mike who did my friend tatto was so rude that I told my friend ask for someone else but she didnt and just like Insaid her tatt is a mess. Place was clean which is a plus but I would would only allow Ravv to tatt me. His personality is great and happy but his work is magnificent

I've now gotten two tattoos here, one from Sean last weekend, and another from Craig a few years ago. I would most definitely come back here for my next one, and recommend them to anyone! Everyone who works there is SO NICE. I am one of those people who gets all clammy and fainty when they get tattoos, and Sean was super cool about it, reminded me to breathe, gave me a minute to pull it together, etc. And the first time i was there, Craig offered to touch up one of my other tattoos without me even asking!

Not good. I have 16 tattooos, I love most them, Juli Moon, Sandra Burbul (best)..Kaleidoscope, Mass Ave Cambridge, ..Eric Brunelle, Cobra Custom, Plymouth......true artists......Jason, not so much. Edwardian Script? Really? So creative. I'm an idiot, I let you do it ...and you were SOOO rude to me....I TOLD YOU, too close, it's gonna bleed. I was right. If you're looking for a new Tattoo Studio, this is an excellent, clean, and professional shop! Just by looking at artist portfolios you can tell the level of experience the artists have. My tattoo was done by Kayleigh, and she did a wonderful job on my newest tattoo. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I would highly recommend the Boston Tattoo Company (Medford)!

Wonderful experience here! Although the hour was rather late, the entire staff was very kind, attentive, and welcoming. Akio was my piercer and what a knowledgeable gentleman! Very courteous and patient, gave thorough explanations for my many questions, and is incredibly skilled and very gentle. Much less physical discomfort than I had felt for previous piercings at other establishments, in the years passed. Perfectly pristine environment. Would highly recommend!

This shop doesn't look too spacious from outside but just like Narnia, there is a hidden wonderland once you enter those doors. Downstairs looks like its been pulled out of a catalog for what a waiting room/lobby should look like with animals mounted and magazines, it just screams art. As to the artists, I got to see some of the amazing work being made and I'll tell you, these guys are professionals. Boston is my home and now so is Boston Tattoo Company. Go see East.
